If an obstacle obstructs a rear door during the
automatic opening process, bloc kage detection
will stop there ar door. The automatic bloc kage
de tection function is only an aid and is not a sub-
stitute foryo ur attentiveness.

approaching you at a greatly di.ering speed. The
exitwa rning cannot warndrivers in these

and make sure there is su1cient clear-
ance. The
exitwa rning is only an aid and not a substi-
tute forth e attention of vehicle occupants. The
re sponsibility for opening and closing the doors
and for leaving theve hicle remains with theve hi-
cle occupants.

The rear doors are equipped with automatic bloc k-
age de tection with a reve rsing function. If an
obstacle stops a rear door during the automatic
closing procedure, it will automatically open
again. The automatic reve rsing function is only an
aid and is not a substitute foryo ur attentiveness. #
During the closing process, make sure that no
body parts are in the closing area. &

The reve rsing function will not react:
R tosoT, light and thin objects, e.g. /n gers

In these situations in particular, there ve rsing

If someone is trapped, use one of thefo l-
