The selected camera settings (on/oM) are not
saved in the user proNle and only apply to the
current vehicle. If you change to another vehi-

The front camera consists of two cameras that
suppor
t the driver and the front passenger.
The rear camera consists of two cameras that
support the les and right rear seat passengers.
The MBUX Interior Assistant records the vehicle
occupants via 3D laser cameras. The cameras of
the front camera are located in the overhead con-
trol panel. The cameras of the rear camera are
located in the roof bows.
The Assistant detects interactions of the vehicle
occupants via the cameras. It interprets the natu-
ral hand, head and body movements of the vehi- cle occupants either in context or at their explicit
r
equest. The Assistant can thus automatically trig-
ger vehicle interior functions and assist appropri-
ately to the situation. 1

Automatic preselection of the outside mirrors
(C OMFORT/reactive) Requirements:
=
The fr

ont camera is switched on.
Until now, to set the outside mirrors the desired
mirror had to be selected using a preselection
button in the driver's door.
With the MBUX Interior Assistant, the mirror to be
set is preselected automatically by the natural
movement of your head to the les or right. When
the hand touches the button for adjusting the out-
side mirror, the LED under the button of the pre-
selected mirror side lights up.
Use the button to set the position of the active
outside mirror.
% Preselection of the outside mirrors using but-

= At least one favourite has been saved in the
favourites list.
= The favourite has been connected with the
MBUX Interior Assistant.
= The area for detecting the favourites pose (V
pose) is above the centre console in front of
the central display.
= The V pose is held for a brief time.
The V pose makes it easier to call up favourites.
The front vehicle occupants can associate their
own favourite with the V-pose. Some examples
include a navigation destination, a radio station or
a massage programme for a seat.

WARNING Risk of becoming tr
apped dur-
ing adjustment of the driver's seat aser
calling up a driver proNle
Selecting a user pr
oNle may trigger an adjust-
ment of the driver's seat to the position saved
under the user proNle. You or other vehicle
occupants could be injured in the process.
Make sure that when the position of the
dr
iver's seat is being adjusted via the
multimedia system, no people or body
parts are in the seat's range of move-
ment.
If there is a risk of someone becoming trap-
ped, s
top the adjustment process immedi-
ately:
a) Tap the warning message on the cen-
tr

al display.
or
b) Press a memory function position but-

driver's door.
The adjustment process will be stopped. The driver's seat is equipped with an access pre-
v

enter.
If the driver's door is open, the driver's seat will
not be set aser calling up the driver's proNle.User
pr
oNles and user-speciNc content
Prerequisites for the vehicle owner:
= You have a Mercedes me user account.
= You have a Mercedes me PIN.
= You have agreed to the terms of use.
= The vehicle is linked to a Mercedes me user
account.
% If one of the pre-requisites listed is missing or
if no user pr
oNle has been selected, the data
described in the following section will be
saved in the vehicle as the standard setting.
Standard settings can be changed by all vehi-
cle users.
User pr
oNles save personal settings. If the vehicle
is used by several people, a person can change
their proNle settings without changing the settings
of other users.
If the vehicle is equipped with the MBUX high end
Rear Seat Entertainment System, the occupants
in the rear passenger compartment can log in as
Mercedes me users from their seats. The Multi-
seat ProNle Management allows three proNles to MBUX multimedia system

be used simultaneously. A user
pr oNle can only be
activated simultaneously on one display.
% Some settings apply to the entire vehicle and
ar

e displayed in all user proNles, e.g. ambient
lighting and the current navigation settings.
These initially belong to the driver, but can
also be changed by the other vehicle occu-
pants in their user proNle.
You can individualise a user pr
oNle in the vehicle
using the set-up assistant or using the settings in
your user proNle. Some settings, e.g. the
Mercedes me PIN and a proNle photo are made in
the Mercedes me App or in the Mercedes me Por-
tal.
User-speciNc content and applications with per-
sonal data are protected by diMerent levels of
security. To access protected content, the
Mercedes me PIN and, depending on the vehicle
equipment, biometric sensors can be used.
% The security level is set by the multimedia sys-
t
em and calculated from the combination of
all sensor inputs. Some security levels cannot
be turned oM. %
When a user pr
oNle is activated, the following
personalised comfort systems, for example,
can be adjusted or their settings loaded:
= Seat
= Ambient light
= Outside mirrors
= Blinds
= Climate control settings
If the user proNle is activated when driving
then the driver's seat position will not be
adjusted.
Depending on the vehicle equipment you can, as
a user
, save the following settings, for example:
= Driver's seat, steering wheel and mirror set-
tings
= Climate control
= Ambient lighting
= Radio (including station list)
= Suggestions and favourites Suggestions
The v

ehicle can learn the habits of the driver. It
then makes suggestions regarding navigation des-
tinations, phone numbers and music preferences.
The requirements for that are the selection of a
user, your consent to the recording of data and
suPcient collected data.
