Switching procedure:
To switch the hazard indicator and horn
(chime) operation, press the
1and
2buttons on the Intelligent Key si-
multaneously for more than two seconds.
• When the hazard indicator mode is set, the hazard indicator flashes three times.
• When the hazard indicator and horn mode is set, the hazard indicator flashes
once and the horn chirps once.
WARNING
• Make sure that the hood is com- pletely closed and latched before
driving. Failure to do so could cause
the hood to open during driving and
result in an accident.
• If steam or smoke is emitting from the motor compartment, do not
open the hood. Doing so could cause
an injury.

Automatic operation (AUTO)
The AUTO mode may be used year-round
as the system automatically controls con-
stant temperature, air flow distribution and
fan speed.
1. Press the AUTO button. The AUTO indica- tor will be illuminated.
2. Turn the temperature control dial to set the desired temperature.
When any of the following functions are
operated, the AUTO indicator will turn off.
• The
HEAT or A/C button is pressed.
• The fan speed control or ventilator air flow control is operated.
However, the functions that were not oper-
ated continue operating in AUTO mode.
NOTE:
• If thefan speed control dial, MODE

eration modes of the climate control sys-
tem.

Manual operation
The manual mode can be used to control
the heater and air conditioner to your de-
sired temperature.
The HEAT indicator light and the A/C indi-
cator light illuminates according to the op-
eration modes.

Cooling:
1. Press the A/C button to illuminate the A/C indicator light.
2. Press the
HEAT button to turn off
the HEAT indicator light.
• Do not set the temperature higher than the outside air temperature. Doing so may
prevent the temperature from being con-
trolled properly.
• A visible mist may be seen coming from the ventilators in hot, humid conditions as
the air is cooled rapidly. This does not indi-
cate a malfunction.

Dehumidified heating:
1. Press the A/C button to illuminate theA/C indicator light.

NOTE:
Electric power consumption of climate
control increases while A/C button indi-
cator and
HEAT button indicator si-
multaneously illuminate. As a result, the
driving range may be decreased.
Heating (A/C off ):
1. Press the
HEAT button to illuminate
the HEAT indicator light.
2. Press the A/C button to turn off the A/C indicator light.
• Do not set temperature lower than the outside air temperature. Doing so may
prevent the temperature from being con-
trolled properly.
• If the windows fog up, use dehumidified heating instead of the A/C off heating. Ventilation:
Press the
HEAT button and A/C but-
ton if the indicator lights are on so that
both indicator lights turn off.
NOTE:
• The ventilation mode requires a lower
power consumption, so cruising dis-
tance will increase.
• In ventilation mode, temperature is not
indicated on the navigation monitor or
on the air conditioner display.
Dehumidified defrosting/defogging:
Press the
front defroster button (the
indicator light will illuminate).
• To remove moisture or fog on the front window quickly, set the temperature to
the high temperature and the fan speed
to their maximum level.
• Af ter the windshield is cleared, press the
front defroster button again (the in-
dicator light will turn off ).
• When the
front defroster button is
pressed, the air conditioner and heater will
automatically turn on to defog the wind-
shield. The outside air recirculation mode will be selected to improve the defogging
performance.
Fan speed control:
Press the
fan speed control button to
manually control the fan speed.
Press the AUTO button to change the fan
speed to the automatic mode.
Air flow control:
Press the MODE button to change the air
flow mode.
— Air flows from the center and side
ventilators.
—Air flows from the center and side
ventilators and foot outlets.
—Air flows mainly from the foot
outlets.
—Air flows from the defroster out-
lets and foot outlets.

and a SiriusXM® Satellite radio service sub-
scription is active, Satellite radio is not avail-
able in Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam.

1 to 6 station memory operations
Six stations can be set for the AM band.
Twelve stations can be set for the FM band
(6 for FM1, 6 for FM2). Eighteen channels can
be set for the satellite radio (6 for XM1, 6 for
XM2, 6 for XM3).
1. Choose the radio band AM, FM1 orFM2 using the FM·AM select button, or
choose the satellite band XM1, XM2 or
XM3 using the XM button.
2. Tune to the desired station using manual, SEEK or SCAN tuning. Press and
hold any of the desired station memory
buttons (1 – 6) until the preset number is
updated on the display and the sound is
briefly muted.
3. The channel indicator will then come on and the sound will resume. Program-
ming is now complete.
4. Other buttons can be set in the same manner.
If the battery cable is disconnected, or if the
fuse opens, the radio memory will be can-
celed. In that case, reset the desired sta-
tions.Compact Disc (CD) player
operation
Place the power switch in the ACC or ON
position and insert the Compact Disc (CD)
into the slot with the label side facing up.
The CD will be guided automatically into
the slot and start playing.
Af ter loading the CD, the number of tracks
on the CD and the play time will appear on
the display.
If the radio is already operating, it will auto-
matically turn off and the CD will play.
If the system has been turned off while the
CD was playing, pressing the
(power)
button will start the CD.
Do not use 3.1 in (8 cm) discs.
SEEK/CAT buttons
When the FF or REW button is pressed for
more than 1.5 seconds while the CD is be-
ing played, the CD will play while fast for-
warding or rewinding. When the button is
released, the CD will return to normal play
speed. When the FF or REW button is pressed for
less than 1.5 seconds while the CD is being
played, the next track or the beginning of
the current track on the CD will be played.
Repeat (RPT)
When the RPT play button is pressed while
the CD is played, the play pattern can be
changed as follows:

Random (RDM)
When the RDM play button is pressed while
a CD is being played, the play pattern can

CONNECTION PORT
Connecting a device to the USB
(Universal Serial Bus) connection
port
WARNING
Do not connect, disconnect or operate
the USB device while driving. Doing so
can be a distraction. If distracted you
could lose control of your vehicle and
cause an accident or serious injury.
CAUTION
• Do not force the USB device into the USB port. Inserting the USB device
tilted or up-side-down into the port
may damage the port. Make sure
that the USB device is connected
correctly into the USB port.
• Do not grab the USB port cover (if so equipped) when pulling the USB de-
vice out of the port. This could dam-
age the port and the cover.
• Do not leave the USB cable in a place where it can be pulled unintention-
ally. Pulling the cable my damage
the port.
For additional information, refer to your de-
vice manufacturer’s owner information re-
garding the proper use and care of the
device.
The USB connection port is located be-
neath the heater and air conditioner con-
trols. Insert the USB device into the port.
When a compatible storage device is
plugged into the port, compatible audio
files on the storage device can be played
through the vehicle’s audio system.
Audio file operation
MEDIA button
Place the power switch in the ON or ACC
position and press the MEDIA button to
switch to the USB input mode. If a CD is
playing or another audio source is plugged
in through the AUX input jack, the MEDIA
button toggles among four sources.
SEEK/CAT buttons
When the
orbutton is pressed
for more than 1.5 seconds while a USB
memory is being played, the USB memory
will play while fast forwarding or rewinding.
When the button is released, the USB
memory will return to normal play speed.
When the
orbutton is pressed
for less than 1.5 seconds while the USB
memory is being played, the next track or
the beginning of the current track on the
USB memory will be played.

Audio main operation
Place the power switch in the ACC or ON
position. Then, press the MEDIA button re-
peatedly to switch to the iPod® mode.
If the system has been turned off while the
iPod® was playing, pressing the
(power) button will start the iPod®.
iPod MENU button
Press the iPod MENU button while the
iPod® operation menu on the audio display.
Scroll through the menu list using the
TUNE/SCROLL knob. Press the ENTER but-
ton to select a menu item. Items in the
iPod® menu appear on the display in the
following order:
• Now playing
• Playlists
• Artists
• Albums
• Songs
• Podcasts
• Genres
• Composers
• Audiobooks
• Shuffle songsFor additional information about each
item, refer to the iPod® Owner’s Manual.
MEDIA button
Place the power switch in the ACC or ON
position. Then, press the MEDIA button to
switch to the iPod® mode.
If another audio source is playing and the
iPod® is connected, pressing the MEDIA
button changes to the iPod® mode.
If the system has been turned off while the
iPod® was playing, pressing the
(power) button will start the iPod®.

SEEK/CAT buttons
When the

When the
BACK button is pressed, it
returns to the previous display.

Operating tips
To get the best performance out of the
NISSAN Voice Recognition system, observe
the following:
• Keep the interior of the vehicle as quiet aspossible. Point all vents away from the
microphone area and close the windows
to eliminate surrounding noises (traffic
noises, vibration sounds, etc.), which may
prevent the system from recognizing
voice commands correctly.
• Wait until the tone sounds before speak- ing a command. Otherwise, the com-
mand will not be received properly.
• Start speaking a command within 5 sec- onds af ter the tone sounds.
• Speak in a natural voice without pausing between words.
Giving voice commands
To operate NISSAN Voice Recognition,
press and release the
button located
on the steering wheel. Af ter the tone
sounds, speak a command. The command given is picked up by the
microphone, and voice feedback is given
when the command is accepted.
• If you need to hear the available com-
mands for the current menu again, say
“Help” and the system will repeat them.
• If a command is not recognized, the sys- tem announces, “Command not recog-
nized. Please try again.” Make sure the
command is said exactly as prompted by
the system and repeat the command in a
clear voice.
• If you want to go back to the previous command, you can say “Go back” or “Cor-
rection” any time the system is waiting for
a response.
• You can cancel a command when the sys- tem is waiting for a response by saying,
“Cancel” or “Quit.” The system announces
“Cancel” or “Quit” and ends the Voice Rec-
ognition session. You can also press and
hold thebutton on the steering
wheel for 5 seconds at any time to end the
Voice Recognition session. Whenever the
Voice Recognition session is canceled, a
double beep is played to indicate you have
exited the system. • If you want to adjust the volume of the
voice feedback, press the volume control
switches (+ or -) on the steering wheel
while being provided with feedback. You
can also use the radio volume control
knob.
Voice Prompt Interrupt
In most cases you can interrupt the voice
feedback to speak the next command by
pressing the
button on the steering
wheel. Af ter interrupting the system, wait
for a beep before speaking your command.
One Shot Call
To use the system faster, you may speak
the second level commands with the main
menu command on the main menu. For
example, press the
button and af ter
the tone say “Call Redial”.

Hands-Free Phone System are located on
the steering wheel.
