TRUNK OPENKeyless trunk open operation mode can be changed in this mode. The operation mode will

KEYLESS LOCK Indicates [ON/OFF] condition of lock signal from key fob.

Test Item Description
INT LAMPThis test is able to check interior room lamp operation.
The interior room lamp turns on when “ON” on CONSULT-II screen is touched.
FLASHERThis test is able to check right hazard reminder operation.
The right hazard lamp turns on when “ON” on CONSULT-II screen is touched.
DOOR LOCKThis test is able to check door lock actuator operation.
The all door lock actuator are locked when “ALL LOCK” on CONSULT-II screen is touched.
The all door lock actuator are unlocked when “ALL UNLOCK” on CONSULT-II screen is touched.
TRUNK/BACK DOORThis test is able to check trunk open operations.
The trunk lid opener operates when “ON” on CONSULT-II screen is touched.
POWER SLIDE DOOR This is displayed even when it is not equipped.

2. Understand outline of system. Refer to BL-46, "
System Description" .
3. Confirm that power door lock system operates normally.
Refer to BL-21, "
POWER DOOR LOCK SYSTEM" .
4. Repair or replace any malfunctioning parts.
Refer to BL-56, "
Trouble Diagnosis Symptom Chart" .
5. Does remote keyless entry system operate normally? If Yes, GO TO 6. If No, GO TO 4.

NOTE:
Before performing the diagnosis in the following table, check “Diagnosis Procedure”. Refer to BL-91,
"Diagnosis Procedure" .
Make sure that vehicle is under the condition shown in “Conditions of vehicle” before starting diagnosis,
and check each symptom.
If the following “symptoms” are detected, check systems shown in the “Diagnoses service procedure” col-
umn in this order.
Conditions of Vehicle (Operating Conditions)
Intelligent key function (I-KEY FUNCTION) is ON when setting on CONSULT-II. Refer to BL-94, "WORK
SUPPORT" .
Mechanical key is not inserted into ignition knob.
Ignition knob is not depressed.
All doors are closed.

1. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS
CAUTION:
If CONSULT-II is used with no connection of CONSULT-II CONVERTER, malfunctions might be
detected in self-diagnosis depending on control unit which carry out CAN communication.
With CONSULT-II
Connect CONSULT-II, and turn ignition switch ON.
Touch “INTELLIGENT KEY” on “SELECT SYSTEM” screen.
Touch “SELF-DIAG RESULTS” on “SELECT DIAG MODE” screen.
Check display content in self-diagnostic results.
Displayed U1000?
Yes >> Inspection END.
No >> GO TO LAN-3, "
Precautions When Using CONSULT-II" .
Check Intelligent Key Unit Power Supply and Ground CircuitBIS000XE
1. CHECK POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition knob LOCK position.
2. Disconnect Intelligent Key unit connector.
3. Check voltage between Intelligent Key unit connector and
ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2.
NG >> Repair or replace Intelligent Key power supply circuit.
2. CHECK GROUND CIRCUIT
Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit connector M31 termi-
nal 12 (B) and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Power supply and ground circuits are normal.
NG >> Repair or replace the Intelligent Key unit ground circuit.

1. CHECK KEY SWITCH
With CONSULT-II
Display “KEY SW” on DATA MONITOR screen, and check if ON-
OFF display is linked to insertion of mechanical key in ignition knob.
OK or NG
OK >> Key switch is OK.
NG >> GO TO 2.
2. CHECK KEY SWITCH POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Remove mechanical key from ignition knob.
2. Disconnect key switch connector.
3. Check voltage between key switch connector M20 terminal 3 (Y/B) and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Repair or replace key switch power supply circuit.
3. CHECK KEY SWITCH OPERATION
Check continuity between key switch connector M20 terminal 3 and
8.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 4.
NG >> Replace key cylinder assembly (built-in key switch).KEY SW:
When key is inserted in ignition knob : ON
When key is removed in ignition knob : OFF

4. CHECK KEY SWITCH CIRCUIT
1. Disconnect Intelligent Key unit connector.
2. Check continuity between Intelligent Key unit connector M31 terminal 7 (B/R) and key switch connector
M20 terminal 8 (B/R).
3. Check continuity between key switch connector M20 terminal 8
(B/R) and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> Check the condition of harness and connector.
NG >> Repair or replace harness between Intelligent Key unit
and key switch.
Check Key Switch (BCM Input)BIS000XG
1. CHECK KEY SWITCH POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT
1. Turn ignition knob LOCK position.
2. Disconnect key switch connector.
3. Check voltage between key switch connector M20 terminal 3 (Y/
B) and ground.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 2.
NG >> Check harness between key switch and fuse.
2. CHECK KEY SWITCH
Check continuity between key switch as follows.
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Replace key cylinder assembly (built-in key switch).7 (B/R) - 8 (B/R) : Continuity should exist.
8 (B/R) - Ground : Continuity should not exist.
