this operation after each service.

- Press and hold button 1.
- S w i t c h o n t h e i g n i t i o n .
The display begins a 10 second
c o u n t d o w n
- Keep button 1 pressed for
10 seconds.
T h e d i s p l a y s h o w s [= 0] and the
spanner disappears. Engine oil level indicator
W h e n t h e i g n i t i o n i s s w i t c h e d o n ,
the engine oil level is indicated for
a p p r o x i m a t e l y 1 0 s e c o n d s , a f t e r t h e
service information.
Oil level gauge fault
Flashing of the six segments indi-
cates a malfunction of the oil level
gauge.
There is a risk of damage to the en-
gine.
Consult a PEUGEOT dealer.
Surplus of oil
Flashing of the six squares and dis-
playing of "max" indicate a surplus of
o i l w h i c h c o u l d d a m a g e t h e e n g i n e .

Lack of oil
Flashing of the six segments and dis-
playing of "min" indicate a lack of oil
w h i c h c o u l d d a m a g e t h e e n g i n e .
I f t h e l a c k o f o i l i s c o n i r m e d b y a
c h e c k u s i n g t h e d i p s t i c k , i t i s e s s e n -
tial that the level is topped up. The level read on the gauge will
only be correct if the vehicle is
on level ground and the engine
has been off for more than 15 mi-
nutes.

LIGHTING RHEOSTAT
W i t h t h e l i g h t s o n , p r e s s t h e b u t t o n
to vary the intensity of the lighting of
the instruments and controls. When
the lighting reaches the minimum (or
m a x i m u m ) s e t t i n g , r e l e a s e t h e b u t t o n
then press it again to increase (or re-
duce) the brightness.
As soon as the lighting is of the re-
q u i r e d b r i g h t n e s s , r e l e a s e t h e b u t t o n .
