Place the jack 4in contact with one
of the four locating points Aon the
sub-frame, (the one which is clos- est to the wheel to be changed).
Extend the jack 4until its base is
in contact with the ground.Ensure that the centre line of thebase of the jack is directly belowthe locating point Aused.
Raise the vehicle.
Unscrew the bolts and removethe wheel.
Fitting a wheel Position the wheel using the cen- tralising tool to assist you.
Tighten the bolts by hand andremove the centralising tool.
Partly tighten the bolts using thewheelbrace 1.
Fold the jack 4and remove it.
Fully tighten the bolts using thewheelbrace 1.
Replace the wheel trim, startingby placing the wheel trim notchopposite the valve, and press iton using the palm of the hand.
Put the tools and the wheel backin the boot.
Note: a diagram on the holder indi-
cates the location of the tools.
Tighten the spare wheel securing strap to prevent noise and for yoursafety in the event of impact. For your safety, alwayschange the wheel:
Ð on level, stable, non-slippery ground,
Ð with the handbrake on and the ignition switched off,
Ð with first or reverse gear engaged (position Pfor the
automatic gearbox),
Ð with the vehicle chocked. Never go underneath a vehicle that is supported only by a jack(use a ramp). After changing the wheel:
Ð have the tightening of the bolts and the tyre pressure checked by a PEUGEOT dealer as soonas possible.
Ð have the punctured tyre repaired and refit it to the vehi-cle as soon as possible.
