Comfort
This function provides the driver with a backmassage. It only operates when the engine is running as well as in STOP mode of the Stop &Start system.

Activation

Press this button.

The warning lamp comes on and the massagefunction is activated for a period of 1 hour. During this time, massage is performed incycles of 6 minutes (4 minutes of massage
followed by 2 minutes break). In total, the
system will per form 10 cycles.
After one hour, the function is deactivated, the
warning lamp goes off.


Deactivation
You can deactivate the massage function at any time by pressing thisbutton.

This mode allows ventilation of the passenger compartment to improve the temperature experienced on entering the vehicle in summer.

Using these two clocks and according

If the key is left in the ignition switch,there is an audible signal on opening the driver's door.

If one of the star ting conditions is not met, a reminder message appears inthe instrument panel screen. In somecircumstances, it is necessary to turn the steering wheel slightly while pressing the "STA R T/STOP" button to assist unlocking of the steering; a message warns you when this is needed.


If the vehicle is not immobilised, theengine will not stop.)
With the electronic key inside the vehicle,
press the brake pedal on vehicles withautomatic or electronic gear controlgearbox, or depress the clutch pedal fully
on vehicles with a manual gearbox and
maintain pressure until the engine starts.

Anti-theft protection
Electronic engine immobiliser
The keys contain an electronic chip which has a secret code. When the ignition is switched
on, this code must be reco
gnised in order for starting to be possible.
This electronic engine immobiliser locks the
engine management system a few minutesafter the ignition is switched off and prevents starting of the engine by anyone who does nothave the key.
In the event o
f a malfunction, you are informed by a message in the instrument panel screen.In this case, your vehicle does not start; contacta PEUGEOT dealer as soon as possible.


Emergency starting with the electronic key

When the electronic key is in the defined zone
and your vehicle does not star t after pressing
the "STA R T/STOP" button: ) Open the housing below the"STA R T/STOP" button. )
Inser t the electronic key in the location A.)
Press the "STA R T/STOP" button.
Once the engine has started, you canremove the electronic key and close the housing.


Emergency switch- off using theelectronic key

In the event of an emergency only, the engine can be switched of without conditions. To do
this, press and hold the "STA R T/STOP" button for about 3 seconds.
In this case the steering column locks as soon
as the vehicle stops.
if the electronic key is no longer in the defined
zone when you request switching off theengine, a message appears in the instrumentpanel.)Press and hold the "STA R T/STOP" button for about 3 seconds if you want to forceswitching off the engine (note that restartingwill not be possible without the key).

)Pass your fingers under the edge of thegaiter (below the gear lever surround).)Unclip the surround by spreading the
tongues (located below) then pull away theassembly of surround and gaiter.


With an emergency release,immobilisation of the vehicle is nolonger be assured once the mechanical release has started and the mechanical
control cannot be used to apply theparking brake again.
Do not carry out any action on lever A , or stop/star t the engine while the release control is engaged.
Have it checked by a PEUGEOT dealer or a qualified workshop.
The control C
cannot be used to apply the parking brake.
To r e - e ngage the electric parking brake(after correction of the fault or batteryfailure), make a long pull on the controllever A
until the parking brake warninglamp (!) flashes in the instrument panel, then make a second long pull until this warning lamp comes on fixed (not flashing).

Turn the surround/gaiter assembly for access to the lever.)
Pull hard on the control C
to release theparking brake. A loud knock confirms the release of the brake. )
Take care to refit the control in its housing. )
Replace the surround/gaiter assembly.
