RDS makes it possible
to listen to the same
station continuously,
whatever frequency it is
using for the region you
are going through.
Switch the function on or off by briely
pressing the "RDS" button.
RDS FUNCTION
Using the RDS (Radio Data
System) function on FM Note: the volume of trafic
information is independent of the
volume of normal radio listening.
You can adjust it using the volume
button. The setting will be stored
and will be used when the next
messages are broadcast.
While trafic information is being
broadcast, the display will alternately
show
"TRAFFIC" and the name
of the station broadcasting the
information.
When the station selected cannot
broadcast trafic information, the
display shows "NO TA".
Regional following mode (REG)
When they are part of a network,
certain stations broadcast regional
programmes in the various areas
they serve.
With regional following mode you
can keep listening to the same
programme.
To do this, press the "RDS" button
for more than two seconds to switch
the function on or off. PTY function
This enables stations which
broadcast a themed type of
programme (News, Culture, Sport,
Rock etc.) to be listened to.
With FM selected, press
the "TA" button for
more than two seconds
to switch this function
on or off.
- switch on the PTY
function,
- briely press button
"H" or "J" to scroll
down the list of the
various types of
programmes offered,
- when the programme of your choice is displayed, keep button "H" or "J"
pressed for more than two seconds
to carry out an automatic search
(after an automatic search the PTY
function is switched off).
In PTY mode the types of
programmes can be stored in the
memory. To do this, press and hold
the preselection buttons "1" to
"6" for more than two seconds. To
recall the type of programme stored
in the memory, briely press the
corresponding button.
RDS station following
The display indicates the name of the
station selected. The set continually
searches for the transmitter with the
best reception which is broadcasting
the same programme.
Press the "TA" button
to switch the function
on or off.
Any trafic information
lash will be broadcast
as a priority, whatever source you
are listening to (radio, CD or CD
changer).
If you wish to interrupt a message,
press the "TA" button; this switches
off the function.

PTY programme:

EON system
This system connects stations
belonging to the same network. It
enables the broadcast of TA trafic
information or a PTY programme
transmitted by a station belonging to
the same network as the station to
which you are listening.
This service is available when
you have selected the
TA trafic
information programme or the PTY
function. After inserting a disc
with the printed face
upwards, the player
starts automatically.
To listen to a disc which is already
inserted, press button "M".
Ejecting a disc
Shufle (RDM)
When the CD is selected, keep
button "M" pressed for two seconds.
The tracks will be played in random
sequence. Pressing button "M"
again for two seconds returns you to
normal play.
Press button
"B" to
eject the disc from the
player.

6 CD CHANGER*
To insert a disc into the changer:
- open sliding panel
A,
- press button B to eject the
cartridge C,
- open one of the six compartments of the cartridge by pulling tab D,
- insert the disc into the cartridge, with the printed face upwards,
and close the compartment ,
- insert the cartridge into the changer, observing the direction of
the arrow,
- close the sliding panel A.
Press the
"MAN"

VENTILATION
1 . Windscreen de-icing or
demisting vents.
2 . Front window de-icing or
demisting vents.

Advice on operation
- Select the air distribution most
suited to your requirements and
the climatic conditions.
- Gradually adjust the temperature setting for your comfort.
- Position the air control in the ''Outside Air'' position.
- For perfectly even air distribution, take care not to obstruct the
exterior air intake grille and the
vents. Check that the passenger
compartment ilter is in good
condition. De-icing the rear windows and/or
mirrors
With the engine running, pressing
the control de-ices the rear windows
and/or mirrors.
It switches off automatically after
approximately twelve minutes.
Pressing the control again switches
the de-icing system on again for
twelve minutes.
It is possible to switch off the de-icing
by pressing the control before the
twelve minutes have elapsed.

position to obtain an air
low suficient to ensure
your comfort.

Slide the control 1 from
blue (cold) to red (hot) to
adjust the temperature
to your requirements.
3. Air intake «Recirculated inside air»
position.
Recirculation of the inside air
permits isolation of the passenger
compartment from external odours
and smoke.
Used simultaneously with the air
conditioning, the recirculation permits
improvement of the air conditioning
performance at cold settings.
When used in a humid climate, the
recirculation presents risks of misting
of the windows.

4. Air distribution adjustment
Slide the control
4 to direct the air
low towards: "Exterior air intake"
position.
As soon as possible, place the
control 3 in this position to avoid the
risks of misting of the windows and
deterioration of the air quality.
the windscreen, the side
windows and the footwells,
the windscreen and the
side windows (demisting
- de-icing). To quickly de-ice or demist the
windscreen and side windows:
- set the temperature
1 and air low 2
controls to maximum,
- close the centre vents,
- place the exterior air intake control 3 in the "Exterior air intake"
position,
- switch on the air conditioning by pressing button 5.
5. Air conditioning control
The air conditioning is designed to
operate in all seasons. In summer,
it enables the temperature to be
lowered and in winter, above 0 °C,
it increases the effectiveness of the
demisting. Press the switch 5, the
indicator light comes on.
The air conditioning does
not operate while the air low
adjustment control 2 is in the
minimum position.
Note: it is quite normal that the
condensation created by the air
conditioning results in a low of
water under the vehicle when it is
stationary. Important precaution
Operate the air conditioning system
for 5 to 10 minutes, once or twice a
month, to keep it in perfect working
order.
If the system does not produce
cold air, do not use it and contact a
PEUGEOT dealer.
Note:
to optimise the operation of
the air conditioning, leave the vents
open.

FRONT SEATS
Driver and passenger (single)
seats
1 - Fowards-backwards adjustment
Lift the control and slide the seat
forwards or backwards.
2 - Driver’s seat height adjustment
Pull the control upwards. Take your
weight off the seat to raise or push on
the seat to lower.
3 - Seat back angle adjustment
Push the control towards the rear to
obtain the correct seat back angle.

4 - Head restraint height
adjustment
To raise or lower the head restraint,
pull it forwards, sliding it at the same
time.
The adjustment is correct when
the upper edge of the head
restraint is level with the top of
the head.
To remove the head restraint, place it
in the top position, push the lug and
pull it upwards.
To put it back in position, locate the
stems of the head restraint in the
holes, taking care to keep them in
line with the seat back.
Never drive with the head
restraints removed; they
must be in place and
adjusted correctly. 5 - Adjustable armrest
To place the armrest in its rest
position:
- raise it until it is in line with the seat
back.
To place the armrest in a position
ready for use:
- fold it down fully,
- raise it slowly to the required position,
- if the position required is passed, repeat the operations above.
