seconds between wipes
depending on the version. It is
possible to vary the time
between sweeps by turning the
central ring on the stalk1:
•Ccontinuous slow wiping
•Dcontinuous fast wiping
Vehicle fitted with windscreen
wiper and rain sensor
With the ignition switched on,turn
stalk1
•Aoff
•Brain sensor position
When this position is selected,
the system detects the presence
of water on the windscreen and
triggers wiping at a suitable
wiping speed.
The central ring on stalk1
enables you to vary the
sensitivity of the rain sensor–
to
O:
– represents minimum
sensitivity
Orepresents maximum
sensitivity.
•Ccontinuous slow wiping.
•Dcontinuous fast wiping.
The rain sensor is deactivated
every time the ignition is
switched off.
To reactivate the sensor, return to
stop positionA, then move to
rain sensor positionB.This
causes the wipers to sweep once.
Vehicles with automatic
selection of wiping speed
If a wiping speed is selected when
driving, the wiping speed is
reduced to a lower speed when the
vehicle stops:
• from fast wiping speed the speed
will change to normal wiping
speed;
• from normal wiping speed the
speed will change to intermittent
wiping.
As soon as the vehicle moves off,
wiping will return to the speed
originally selected.
When the vehicle is stationary,
pressing stalk1overrides and
cancels automatic operation.
Note:
If for any reason the wipers cannot
move (e.g. stuck to windscreen by
ice), the system will automatically
cut off the power supply to the
wipers.

When the stalk is released, it returns
to the rear wiper position.
Special note
For certain vehicles, if the windscreen
wipers are operating when reverse
gear is selected, the rear wiper will
operate intermittently. In freezing conditions, make sure that
the wiper blades are not stuck to the
windscreen (risk of overheating the
motor).
Keep an eye on the condition of the
blades. Change them as soon as they
become less efficient: approximately
once a year.
