2. Select the “Pair Device” key. The pairin\b procedure depend\f on the connected device:

.Audio device without PIN code:The BluetoothŠconnection will be automati-
cally connected without any further input.
.Audio device with PIN code:

PIN code by turnin\b the TUNE/MENU/ENTER
dial to each di\bit of the code and pu\fhin\b the
TUNE/MENU/ENTER dial to confirm each di\bit.
After the PIN code i\f input, \felect “Validate”
and pu\fh the TUNE/MENU/ENTER dial. The

Šconnection will be made.
The 4-di\bit PIN code i\f provided with the audio
device, \fee the owner’\f manual of the audio
device.
3. On Bluetooth
Šaudio/cellular phone device\f:
a. Check that BluetoothŠi\f turned on, on your
device.
b. Switch to the \fearch mode for Bluetooth

device\f. If the \fearch mode find\f a device it
will be \fhown on the device di\fplay. Select My
Car.
c. Enter the number code \fhown on the relevant device with the device’\f own keypad, and pu\fh
the confirmation key on the device it\felf. Refer
to the relevant Bluetooth

manual for further detail\f.
When the device i\f \fucce\f\ffully paired a notification

Select Device:
The paired device list shows which Bluetooth

contains devices\f select the appropriate device to
connect to the Bluetooth

Delete Device:
A registered device can be removed from the Blue-
tooth
Šaudio system. Select a registered device then

from the setup menu screen\f or push the

position. If the audio system is turned off while the

AUX button:
To operate BluetoothŠaudio streaming use one of the
following methods:
. Push the
button\f then turn the TUNE/MENU/
ENTER dial to highlight BT Audio\f and push the

highlighted\f then push the TUNE/MENU/ENTER

The type of display\f

system can vary depending on the BluetoothŠversion
of the device.
Fast Forward/Rewind buttons:
Fast Forward\f Fast Reverse:
When the
/button is pushed continuously\f
the track will be played at high speed. When the button
is released\f the track will be played at normal playing
speed.
Track up/down: By pushing the
/button once\f the track will
be skipped forward to the next track or backward to
the beginning of the current played track. Push the
/button more than once to skip through the
tracks.
DISP button:
If the song contains music information tags (ID3-tags) \f
the title of the played song will be displayed. If tags are
not provided\f the display will not show any messages.
When the
button is pushed repeatedly\f further
information about the song can be displayed along
with the song title.
By pushing and holding the
button the display will
show a detailed overview which after a few seconds
will return to the main display. Push the
button
briefly to return to the main display immediately.
Radio Broadcast data system (RBDS)
The RBDS is a system through which encoded digital
information is transmitted by FM radio stations in
addition to the normal FM radio broadcasting. The
RBDS provides information services such as station
name\f traffic information\f and news.
NOTE:
In some countries or regions, some of these
services may not be available.
Alternative Frequency (AF) mode:
The AF mode operates in the FM (radio) mode.
. The AF mode operates both in the FM (radio) and
CD mode (if FM was previously selected in the
radio mode) .
. The AF function compares signal strengths and
selects the station with the optimum reception
conditions for the currently tuned-in station.

vehicle, be sure to observe the following cautions,

from the Electronic Control Module.
. Keep the antenna wire at least 20 cm (8 in)
away from the Engine Control harnesses. Do
not route the antenna wire next to any

. Connect the ground wire from the radio
chassis to the body.

6. The display will show the message DELETED.
The search mode can also be performed as follows:
1. Briefly push the
button.
2. SE\fRCH appears on the display then push the ENTER button.
3. Select the first character of the name then push the ENTER button.
4. The display will now show the name(s) beginning with the corresponding character. If necessary,
turn the MENU/VOL dial to select the correct
name.
5. \bush the ENTER button and the display will show DELETE? YES. If applicable, turn the MENU/VOL
dial to select DELETE? NO. 6. To confirm the selection, push the ENTER button.
Speed dial buttons:
\ffter entering the names and phone numbers, you can
assign the six preset buttons to the most frequently
dialled phone numbers.

3. Once found, push the assigned preset button until a confirmation beep is heard. The name and phone
number are now stored under that button.
Hands-free telephone control
The hands-free mode can be operated using the
telephone button controls on the audio unit or on the
steering wheel.
Initiating a call:
\f call can be initiated using one of the following
methods:

. speed dial (preset buttons)
NOTE:
During the active call you can adjust the micro-
phone volume by briefly pushing the MENU
button then adjusting the volume by turning

Calling via voice tag:
If your mo\file phone supports voice recognition, it is
possi\fle to make a call via the voice tag instead of
manual selection, provided the name and num\fer of
your contact has \feen previously marked and stored in
the phone \fook of your mo\file phone. For details, see the mo\file phone manufacturer’s owner’s manual.
In order to dial via a voice tag, proceed as follows:
1. Push the
\futton for more than 2 seconds.
2. The display shows SPEAK NOW.
3. Give your voice tag. Say the voice tag clearly and normally in the
direction of the microphone (located near the map
light) .
4. If the voice tag is correct, the phone system will dial the corresponding num\fer.
Make a call via speed dial:
To make a speed dial call using one of the assigned
preset \futtons, proceed as follows:
1. \briefly push the
\futton.
2. Push the corresponding preset \futton (1-6) . Alternatively, you can select the corresponding
preset num\fer \fy turning the MENU/VOL dial
instead of pushing the preset \futton.
3. To confirm the selection, push the
\futton to
make the call.
Receiving a call
When receiving an incoming call, the display will show
the caller identification (or NO NUM\bER) and you can:
. answer the call \fy \friefly pushing the
\futton.
. end the call after the conversation \fy pushing the
\futton.
. reject the call \fy pushing the
\futton.

Volume control switch:
The volume control switch allows you to adjust the

WARNING:
While driving, using the cellular phone is ex-
tremely dangerous because it significantly im-
pairs your concentration and diminishes your
reaction capabilities to sudden changes on the
road, and it may lead to a fatal accident. This
applies to all phone call situations such as when
receiving an incoming call, during a phone
conversation, when calling through the phone
book search, etc.
CAUTION:
Certain country or region jurisdictions prohibit
the use of the cellular phone in the car without
hands-free support.
This chapter provides in\formation about the RENAULT
hands-\free phone system using a Bluetooth
Šconnec-
tion.
Bluetooth
Šis a wireless radio communication stan-
dard. This system o\f\fers a hands-\free \feature \for your
cellular phone to enhance driving com\fort.
In order to use your cellular phone with the Bluetooth
Š
o\f the audio system, the cellular phone must \first be set
up. Once it has been set up, the hands-\free mode is
automatically activated on the registered cellular phone
(via Bluetooth
Š) when it comes into range.
A noti\fication message appears on the audio display
when the phone is connected, when an incoming call
is being received, as well as when a call is initiated.
When a call is active, the audio system and
microphone (located near the map light) enable
hands-\free communication.
I\f the audio system is in use at the time, the radio, CD,
or AUX source mode will be muted and will stay muted
until the active call has ended.
The Bluetooth
Šsystem may not be able to connect
with your cellular phone \for the \following reasons:
. The cellular phone is too \far away \from the vehicle.
. The Bluetooth
Šmode on the cellular phone has
not been activated.
. The cellular phone has not been paired with the
Bluetooth
Šsystem o\f the audio unit.
. The cellular phone does not support BluetoothŠ
technology (BT Core v1.2, \bands Free Pro\file v1.0
and Object Push Pro\file v1.0) . NOTE:
For details, see the cellular phone’s owner’s
manual.
\bands-\free phone setup
To set up the BluetoothŠsystem to pair with (connect
or register) a pre\ferred cellular phone, push the
button, select the BluetoothŠkey, and then push the
TUNE/MENU/ENTER dial. It is also possible to display
the set up menu directly by pushing the
button.
. Pair Device
Bluetooth
Šcellular phones can be paired with the
system. A maximum o\f 5 cellular phones can be
registered.
. Select Device
Paired Bluetooth
Šcellular phones are listed on the
display and can be selected \for connection.
. Delete Device
A registered Bluetooth
Šcellular phone can be
deleted.
. Bluetooth
I\f this setting is turned o\f\f, the connection between
the Bluetooth
Šdevices and the in-vehicle Blue-
toothŠmodule will be cancelled.
When success\fully paired, a noti\fication message will
be displayed. During the connection the \following
status icons will be displayed (top le\ft o\f display):
Signal strength (
