When the time d isp lay mod e is selec ted , the time d i sp lay takes p rior-
ity of the func tion d isp lay. The time is shown on t he d isp lay whenever
the ig nition switc h is “ACC ” or “ON ” p osition.
When the rad io is turned on or the station is c hang ed d uring the time
d isp lay mod e, the time d isp lay is rep lac ed b y the f req uenc y d isp lay.
However, after the freq uenc y has b een d isp layed for five sec ond s, it
is rep lac ed b y the time d isp lay ag ain. Function display mode
When the func tion d isp lay mod e is selec ted , the tim e is not shown on
the d isp lay. The d isp lay ind ic ates the c urrent func tion only.
When the rad io is turned off d uring the func tion d i sp lay mod e, the
b ac k-up lig ht on the d isp lay g oes out.
Setting the time
1. Turn the ig nition switc h to “ACC ” or “ON ”.
2. To adjust hour: Press the “DISP ” b utton and the “TUNING ” b utton
ind ic ated with “ ” tog ether to ad vanc e the hours in one-hour inc remen ts.
Keep ing the b uttons p ressed ad vanc es the hours q uic kly.
3. To adjust minute: Press the ”DISP ” b utton and the “TUNING ” b utton
ind ic ated “
 ” tog ether to ad vanc e the minutes in one-minute inc r ements.
Keep ing the b uttons p ressed ad vanc es the minutes q u ic kly.
NOTE
If the connection between the radio and battery is broken for any reason such as vehicle maintenance or radio removal, the time set-ting will be cleared. If this occurs, it is necessary to reset the time.

CAUTION

reduce the risk of injury in the event of sudden stops or an acci- dent. Do not store spray cans, containers with flammable or corro-

Lid tray
WARNING
Objects must not be placed on the lid tray while the vehicle is moving. In the event of sudden braking, sudden steering, or a
collision, objects on the lid tray could be thrown toward the
vehicle’ s occupants and could cause injuries.
CAUTION
If drinks are placed on the tray, take care to prevent them from
spilling. Spilled liquids, if hot, could burn passengers and liquidsof any kind could damage the vehicle ’s interior trim and/or electri-
cal equipment.

Cup holder
CAUTION
When not in use, always keep the holder stored while driving
to reduce the risk of injury in the event of a sudden stop or an accident. Do not pick up a cup from the cup holder or put a cup in the
holder while you are driving, as this may distract you and lead toan accident. Take care to avoid spills. Beverages, if hot, might burn you or
your passengers. Spilled beverages may also damage upholstery,carpets or audio equipment.

The front p asseng er ’s c up hold er is b uilt in the c enter c onsole. To use
the c up hold er, op en the lid of the c onsole and op e n the hold er. When
not in use, fold the hold er and c lose the lid .
Accessory power socket Electrical power socket located on the lower part of the instru- ment panel CAUTION
The electrical power socket located on the lower part of the instrument panel is designed to use only a SUBARU genuine cig-arette lighter plug. Do not use non-genuine cigarette lighter plugsor any “plug-in” type electrical accessories in the socket. Doing
so may cause a short-circuit and overheating, resulting in a fire.Refer to the “Cigarette lighter ” section in this chapter.
Accessory power socket in the luggage compartment (ifequipped)
CAUTION
Do not attempt to use a cigarette lighter in the accessory
power socket.

Do not place any foreign objects, especially metal ones such
as coins or aluminum foil, into the accessory power socket. That could cause a short circuit. Always put the cap on the accessorypower socket when it is not in use. Use only electrical appliances which are designed for 12V DC
and which consume less than 120W. Overloading the accessorypower socket can cause a short circuit. Do not use double adapt-ers or more than one electrical appliance. If the plug on your electric appliance is either too loose or too
tight for the accessory power socket, this can result in a poorcontact or cause the plug to get stuck. Only use plugs that fitproperly in the accessory power socket. Use of an electric appliance in the accessory power socket for
a long period of time while the engine is not running can causebattery discharge.
