Indicates the AWD system has overheated
Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place
and contact your Toyota dealer.
Indicates a malfunction in the brake override sys-
tem
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota
dealer.
Indicates a malfunction in the Automatic High
Beam system
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota
dealer.
Indicates that the accelerator and brake pedal
are being depressed simultaneously
Release the accelerator or brake pedal.
Indicates that the washer fluid level is low
Add washer fluid.
Indicates that remaining fuel is approximately 2.9
gal. (10.7 L, 2.4 Imp. gal.) or less
Refuel the vehicle.
Indicates that the TRAC (Traction Control) sys-
tem has been deactivated

respond to the driven distance on the mainte-
nance schedule

(The indicator will not work properly unless the

Indicates that the Automatic High Beam switch is
pressed while the headlights are in low beam.
Turn the high beam on and press the Auto-
matic High Beam switch again.
Indicates that, since the VSC (Vehicle Stability
Control) system was turned off, the pre-collision
brake system operation is stopped

Indicates that the pre-collision system is tempo-
rarily unavailable

In the following cases, the warning message may not be displaye d even if
vehicle-to-vehicle distance decreases:
● When your vehicle and the vehicle ahead are traveling at the sa me speed or
the vehicle ahead is traveling more quickly than your vehicle
● When the vehicle ahead is traveling at a very low speed
● Immediately after cruise control speed is set
● At the instant the accelerator pedal is depressed
Indicates that the pre-collision system sensor is
dirty, covered with ice, etc.
 Remove any dirt, ice, etc.
Indicates a malfunction in the brake system
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Toyota
dealer immediately.
Continuing to drive th e vehicle may be dan-
gerous.

key and then the engine
switch was pressed, the elec-
tronic key could not be
detected in the vehicle.
• The electronic key could not be detected in the vehicle
even after the engine switch
was pressed two consecu-
tive times.
 Touch the electronic key to
the engine switch while
depressing the brake
pedal.

During a engine starting proce-
dure in the event that the elec-
tronic key was not functioning
properly ( P. 637), the engine
switch was touched with the
electronic key.
 Press the engine switch
within 10 seconds of the
buzzer sounding.

Indicates that:
• With the engine switch off,
the doors were unlocked and
then the driver’s door was
opened and closed
• The engine switch was turned to ACCESSORY mode with-
out starting the engine
• The shift lever was shifted to P from another position with
the engine switch in IGNI-
TION ON mode.

●Stop the vehicle in a safe place on a hard, flat surface.
● Set the parking brake.
● Shift the shift lever to P.
● Stop the engine.
● Turn on the emergency flashers. ( P. 574)

Your vehicle is equipped with a spare tire. The flat tire can b e
replaced with the spare tire.
