or SH; CD or CE amendments are permissible;
or brand-name HD oil of CCMC classification
G4 or G5; amendment PD2 is permissible.
Engine oils of viscosity grades SAE 20W-x may
not be used.
Do not use synthetic engine oils unless they
have been approved by BMW for this vehicle.

All engine oils supplied by BMW Motorrad are subject to regular BMW quality assurance checks.
Oil additives are not required and are not recommended.
It is not permitted to mix different engine oils.
