K:Press to unlock the driver door.
Press again within five seconds to
unlock all doors.The RKE
transmitter can be programmed to
unlock all doors on the first button
press. See Vehicle
Personalization 0137.
The hazard warning lamps may
flash to indicate unlocking. See
Vehicle Personalization 0137.
Pressing
Kwill disarm the alarm
system. See Vehicle Alarm System
0 42. If equipped, pressing
Kwill
also unlock the fuel door.
7: If equipped, press and hold
briefly to initiate vehicle locator. The
exterior lamps flash and the horn
chirps three times.
Press and hold
7for at least
three seconds to sound the panic
alarm. The horn sounds and the
turn signals flash for 30 seconds,
or until
7is pressed again or the
key is placed in the ignition and
turned to ACC/ACCESSORY or
ON/RUN.
/: If equipped, pressQand then
press and hold
/to start the
engine from outside the vehicle
using the RKE transmitter. See
Remote Vehicle Start 036.
The RKE transmitter buttons will not
operate when the key is in the
ignition.
Programming Keys to the
Vehicle
Only RKE keys programmed to this
vehicle will work. If a key is lost or
stolen, a replacement can be
purchased and programmed through
your dealer. When the replacement
key is programmed to this vehicle,
all remaining keys must also be
reprogrammed. Any lost or stolen
keys will no longer work once the
new key is programmed.
Programming with Two
Recognized Keys
To program a new key: 1. Insert the original, already programmed key in the ignition
and turn the key to the ON/
RUN position. 2. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF and
remove the key.
3. Quickly, within five seconds, insert the second original
already programmed key in the
ignition and turn the key to the
ON/RUN position.
4. Turn the key to LOCK/OFF, and remove the key.
5. Insert the new key to be programmed and turn it to the
ON/RUN position within
five seconds.
The security light will turn off
once the key has been
programmed.
6. Repeat Steps 1β5 if additional keys are to be programmed.
If a key is lost or damaged, see your
dealer to have a new key made.
Programming without Two
Recognized Keys
Program a new key to the vehicle
when a recognized key is not
available. Canadian regulations
require that owners see their dealer.

Interior Mirrors
Interior Rearview Mirrors
Adjust the rearview mirror for a clear
view of the area behind your
vehicle.
If equipped with OnStar, the vehicle
may have three control buttons at
the bottom of the mirror. See your
dealer for more information about
OnStar and how to subscribe to it.

Do not spray glass cleaner directly
on the mirror. Use a soft towel
dampened with water.
Manual Rearview Mirror
If equipped with a manual rearview
mirror, push the tab forward for
daytime use and pull it for nighttime
use to avoid glare from the
headlamps from behind.
Automatic Dimming
Rearview Mirror
If equipped, automatic dimming
reduces the glare of headlamps
from behind. The dimming feature
comes on when the vehicle is
started.
Windows
{Warning
Never leave a child, a helpless
adult, or a pet alone in a vehicle,
especially with the windows
closed in warm or hot weather.
They can be overcome by the
extreme heat and suffer
permanent injuries or even death
from heat stroke.
The vehicle aerodynamics are
designed to improve fuel economy
performance. This may result in a

at the LATCH path and attempt
to move it side to side and
back and forth. There should
be no more than 2.5 cm (1 in) of
movement for proper
installation.
Head Restraint Removal and
Reinstallation
The rear outboard head restraints
can be removed if they interfere with
the proper installation of the child
restraint.
To remove the head restraint:1. Partially fold the seatback forward. See Rear Seats058
for additional information.
2. Press both buttons on the head restraint posts at the same
time, and pull up on the head
restraint.
3. Store the head restraint in a secure place.
4. When the child restraint is removed, reinstall the head
restraint before the seating
position is used.
{Warning
With head restraints that are not
installed and adjusted properly,
there is a greater chance that
occupants will suffer a neck/
spinal injury in a crash. Do not
drive until the head restraints for
all occupants are installed and
adjusted properly.
To reinstall the head restraint:

This feature can be changed. See
Vehicle Personalization0137.
The windshield washer reservoir is
used for the windshield and the rear
window. Check the fluid level in the
reservoir if either washer is not
working. See Washer Fluid 0257.
Compass
The vehicle may have a compass
display in the Driver Information
Center (DIC).
Setting the Compass Zone
Under certain circumstances, such
as during a long trip or moving to a
new area, the compass zone will
need to be reset. If the compass is
not set to the correct zone, it may
give false readings. The compass
zone should be set to the area in
which the vehicle is currently
traveling.
Use the DIC buttons to set the
compass zone:
1. While the vehicle is in P (Park), press the MENU button to
display the DIC menu. 2. Press and hold SET/CLR while
the Set Area display is active.3. Find the vehicle's currentlocation and zone number on
the map. Zones 1 through 15
are available.
4. Use
w xto change to the
correct zone number.
5. Press SET/CLR to confirm the setting.
Clock
Radio without Touchscreen
The infotainment system controls
are used to access the time and
date settings through the menu
system. See Operation0157 on
how to use the menu system.
Setting the Time and Date
When Auto Set is enabled the time
cannot be manually set.
1. Press MENU, then select Settings.
2. Select Time and Date.
3. Select Set Time or Set Date.
4. Turn MENU to change the value.
5. Press MENU to select the next value.
6. Turn MENU to change the value.
7. To exit without saving, press BACK at any time; or to save
and return to the Time and
Date menu, press MENU
multiple times.

Information Displays
Driver Information
Center (DIC)
The DIC displays information about
the vehicle. It also displays warning
messages if a system problem is
detected. SeeVehicle Messages
(Base Level) 0129 orVehicle
Messages (Uplevel) 0130. All
messages appear in the DIC display
in the instrument panel cluster.
DIC Operation and Displays
On some models, the trip odometer
reset stem is used to operate the
DIC. On other models, the controls
for the DIC are on the turn signal
lever.
DIC Buttons
1. SET/CLR: Press to set or clear
the menu item displayed.
2.
w/x: Turn the band to
scroll through the menus.
3. MENU: Press to display the
Trip/Fuel menu and the Vehicle
Information menu. This button
is also used to return to or exit
the last screen displayed on
the DIC.
Vehicle Information Menu
Items (Base Level DIC)
Press MENU to view the DIC menu.
Some items display in the upper
display area, some in the lower
display area, and others use both
the upper and lower display areas.
Use
w/xto scroll through the
menu items. Not all items are
available on every vehicle. The
following is a list of possible menu
items:
. Remaining Oil Life
. Units
. Tire Learn Remaining Oil Life
This menu is not available while the
vehicle is moving. This display
shows an estimate of the oil's
remaining useful life. If 99
:% is
displayed, that means 99% of the
current oil life remains.
When the remaining oil life is low,
the
:% CHANGE message will
appear on the display. The oil
should changed as soon as
possible. See Engine Oil0246. In
addition to the engine oil life system
monitoring the oil life, additional
maintenance is recommended in the
Maintenance Schedule. See
Maintenance Schedule 0322.
Remember, the Oil Life display must
be reset after each oil change. It will
not reset itself. Also, be careful not
to reset the Oil Life display
accidentally at any time other than
when the oil has just been changed.
It cannot be reset accurately until
the next oil change. To reset the
engine oil life system, press SET/
CLR while the Oil Life display is
active. See Engine Oil Life
System 0248.

Before driving:
.Become familiar with the
operation, faceplate buttons, and
screen buttons.
. Set up the audio by presetting
favorite stations, setting the
tone, and adjusting the
speakers.
. Set up phone numbers in
advance so they can be called
easily by pressing a single
button or by using a single voice
command if equipped with
Bluetooth phone capability.

Accessory Power (RAP) 0210.Theft-Deterrent Feature
The infotainment system has an
electronic security system installed
to prevent theft.
The infotainment system only works
in the vehicle in which it was first
installed, and cannot be used in
another vehicle.

multifunction knobs, and menus
shown on the display.
Turning the System On or Off
O:Press and hold to turn the
system on and off.
Automatic Switch-Off
If the infotainment system has been
turned on after the ignition is turned
off, the system will turn off
automatically after 10 minutes.

System Settings
Configuring the Number of
Favorite Pages
Up to six favorite pages can be
saved, and each page can store up
to four radio stations.
To configure the number of available
favorite pages:
1. Press MENU.
2. Turn MENU to Set Number of Favorites Pages.
3. Press MENU.
4. Turn MENU to the desired number of pages.
5. Press MENU to select the desired number of pages.
6. Press BACK to exit.
Auto Volume Control
This feature automatically adjusts
the radio volume to compensate for
road and wind noise. The level of volume compensation
can be selected, or the feature can
be turned off.
1. Press MENU.
2. Turn MENU to Settings.
3. Press MENU.
4. Turn MENU to Auto Volume Control.
5. Press MENU.
6. Select the desired setting.
7. Press BACK to exit.
Radio Controls with
Touchscreen
The infotainment system is operated
by using the pushbuttons, menus
shown on the display, and steering
wheel controls.

each radio band and each audio
player source.

Audio Source Menu
O: Press and hold to turn the
system on and off. Turn to increase
or decrease the volume or to cancel
mute when the audio system is
muted.

and FM.
7or6: Press to seek the
previous or next station.
Press and hold to quick seek a
station.
FAV : Press to open the favorites
list and select a favorite page or
view the radio station and current
song playing information.
Preset Buttons 1β4 : Press to
select preset stations.
Radio Data System (RDS)
RDS is a service by FM stations
that makes it easier to find radio
stations with fault-free reception.
RDS stations are indicated by the
program service name with
broadcasting frequency.
Selecting a Band
Press RADIO to choose AM or FM.
The last station that was playing
starts playing again.
Selecting an Auxiliary Device
Press MEDIA to select a connected
auxiliary device.
Selecting a Station
Seek Tuning
If the radio station is not known:
Press
7or6to automatically
search for available radio stations.
Press and hold
7or6to change
the radio stations as desired, then
release to stop at the next available
station.
