GETTING TO KNOW YOUR VEHICLE
KEYS
KEY FOB
Your vehicle is equipped with a key fob which
supports Passive Entry, Remote Keyless Entry
(RKE), Keyless Enter ‘n Go™ (if equipped), Remote
Start (if equipped), and remote trunk release. The
key fob allows you to lock or unlock the doors and
trunk from distances up to approximately 66
ft
( 2

0 m). The key fob does not need to be pointed at
t h
e vehicle to activate the system. The key fob also
contains an emergency key, which is stored in the
rear of the key fob.
NOTE:
The key fob’s wireless signal may be blocked if
the key fob is located next to a mobile phone,
laptop, or other electronic device. This may
result in poor performance.
With ignition in the ON position and the vehicle
moving at 2 mph (4 km/h), all RKE commands
a r
e disabled.

Key Fob
In case the ignition switch does not change with
t
h

e push of a button, the key fob may have a low or
fully depleted battery. A low key fob battery can be
verified by referring to the instrument cluster,
which will display directions to follow

To Lock/Unlock The Doors And Trunk
Push and release the unlock button on the key fob
once to unlock the driver’s door, or twice within five
seconds to unlock all the doors and the trunk. To
lock all the doors and the trunk, push the lock
button once.
When the doors are unlocked, the turn signals will
fl

ash and the illuminated entry system will be
activated. When the doors are locked, the turn
signals will flash and the horn will chirp.

POWER DOOR LOCKS
The power door lock switches are located on each
front door panel. Push the switch to lock or unlock
the doors.

Power Door Lock Switches

The driver’s door will unlock automatically if the
ke
ys are detected inside the vehicle when the door
lock button on the front door panel is used to lock
the door. This will occur for two attempts. Upon the
third attempt, the doors will lock even if the key is
inside.
NOTE:
If the key fob is located next to a mobile phone,
l a
ptop, or other electronic device, the wireless
signal may get blocked, and the driver’s door may
not unlock automatically. If the door lock switch is pushed while the ignition
is

in ACC or ON/RUN and the driver's door is open,
the doors will not lock.
If a rear door is locked, it cannot be opened from
i n

side the vehicle without first unlocking the door.
The door may be unlocked manually by raising the
lock knob.
KEYLESS ENTER ‘N GO™ —
P
ASSIVE ENTRY
The Passive Entry system is an enhancement to
the vehicle’s key fob and a feature of Keyless Enter
‘n Go™. This feature allows you to lock and unlock
the vehicle’s door(s) without having to push the key
fob lock or unlock buttons.
NOTE:
Passive Entry may be programmed on/off
through Uconnect Settings Ú page 122.
The key fob may not be able to be detected by
the vehicle Passive Entry system if it is located
next to a mobile phone, laptop or other elec
-
tronic device; these devices may block the key
f ob

’s wireless signal and prevent the Passive
Entry handle from locking/unlocking the
vehicle.
Passive Entry Unlock initiates illuminated
approach (low beams, license plate lamp, posi -
tion lamps) for whichever time duration is set
WARNING!
For personal security and safety in the event
of a collision, lock the vehicle doors before you
drive as well as when you park and leave the
vehicle.
When exiting the vehicle, always make sure
the Keyless Enter ‘n Go™ — Ignition is placed
in the OFF position, remove the key fob from
the vehicle and lock your vehicle.
Never leave children alone in a vehicle, or with
access to an unlocked vehicle. Allowing chil -
dren to be in a vehicle unattended is
d a

ngerous for a number of reasons. A child or
others could be seriously or fatally injured.
Children should be warned not to touch the
parking brake, brake pedal or the gear
selector.
Do not leave the key fob in or near the vehicle,
or in a location accessible to children, and do
not leave the ignition of a vehicle equipped
with Keyless Enter ‘n Go™ — Ignition in the
ACC or ON/RUN position. A child could operate
power windows, other controls, or move the
vehicle.

UCONNECT VOICE RECOGNITION QUICK TIPS
INTRODUCING UCONNECT
Start using Uconnect Voice Recognition (VR) with
these helpful quick tips. It provides the key Voice
Commands and tips you need to know to control
your Uconnect system.
NOTE:
The NAV icon on the bottom bar or in the Apps
m e
nus of your touchscreen means you have the
Uconnect 4C NAV system. If not, you have a
Uconnect 4C system.

Voice Recognition

BASIC VOICE COMMANDS
The basic Voice Commands below can be given at
any point while using your Uconnect system.
Push the VR button . After the beep, say:
“Cancel ” to stop a current voice session
“Help ” to hear a list of suggested Voice
Commands
“ Repeat ” to listen to the system prompts again
Notice the visual cues that inform you of your voice

GET STARTED
The VR button is used to activate/deactivate your
VR system.
Helpful hints for using VR:
Reduce background noise. Wind and passenger
conversations are examples of noise that may
impact recognition.
Speak clearly at a normal pace and volume
while facing straight ahead.
Each time you give a Voice Command, you must
first push the VR button, wait until after the
beep, then say your Voice Command.
You can interrupt the help message or system
prompts by pushing the VR button and saying a
Voice Command from the current category.

Located on the rear of the front center console are

al USB “Charge Only” ports. The USB “Charge
Only” ports will recharge battery operated USB
devices when connected.

LIGHTED CUPHOLDERS — IF EQUIPPED
On some vehicles, the front cupholders are
equipped with a light ring that illuminates the
cupholders for the front passengers.

Your vehicle may be equipped with heated and
cooled cupholders. The cupholders are designed
to help keep warm beverages warm and cool
beverages cool.

Heated And Cooled Cupholder Switches

Push the “Cold” symbol once to turn on the
cu
pholder. Push the symbol a second time to turn
the cupholder off. Push the “Hot” symbol once to
activate the cupholder. Push the symbol a second
time to turn off the cupholder.
POWER SUNSHADE — IF EQUIPPED
Your vehicle may be equipped with a power
sunshade that will reduce the amount of sunlight
that will shine through the rear windshield.
The power sunshade can be operated using the

onnect system Ú page 122.
Press the “Controls” button and then press the
“ R

ear Sunshade” button to raise the power
sunscreen. Press the “Rear Sunshade” button a
second time to lower the sunshade.
If the sunshade is in the raised position and the
ve
hicle is placed in REVERSE, the sunshade will
automatically fully lower. When the transmission is
shifted out of REVERSE the sunshade will
automatically return to the fully raised position
after a brief delay.
The power sunshade can also be operated by
p a

ssengers in the rear seats. The power sunshade
switch is located on the back of the center console
between the heated seat switches. Push the
switch once to raise the sunshade. Push the switch
a second time to lower the sunshade.

NOTE:
The rear sunshade control switch can be locked

along with the rear passenger window controls
from the driver switch window lockout switch.
POWER OUTLETS
Your vehicle is equipped with one 12 Volt (13 Amp)
power outlet on the instrument panel and one
12 Volt (13 Amp) power outlet in the center
c on

sole that can be used to power cellular phones,
small electronics and other low powered electrical
accessories. The power outlets are labeled with
either a “key” or a “battery” symbol to indicate how
the outlet is powered. Power outlets labeled with a
“key” are powered when the ignition switch is in
the ACC or ON/RUN position, while the outlets
labeled with a “battery” are connected directly to
the battery and powered at all times.
WARNING!
When using the cupholder in the “Hot” position,
avoid contact with the heated portion of the
cupholder in order to reduce the possibility of
burns. Persons who are unable to feel pain to
the skin because of advanced age, chronic
illness, diabetes, spinal cord injuries,
medication, alcohol use, exhaustion or other
physical condition must exercise particular care
in order to prevent serious burn injury. Keep the
cupholder free of debris or stray objects when
operated in the “Hot” position.

POWER WINDOW CONTROLS
The window controls on the driver's door control all
the door windows.

Power Window Switches

The passenger door windows can also be operated
b y

using the single window controls on the
passenger door trim panel. The window controls
will operate only when the ignition is in the ACC or
ON/RUN position.
NOTE:
The power window switches will remain active for
u p
to 10 minutes after the ignition is placed in the
O F
F position. Opening either front door will cancel
this feature. The timing is programmable within
Uconnect Settings
Ú page 122.
AUTOMATIC WINDOW FEATURES
Auto-Down Feature
The driver and front passenger door power window

itches have an Auto-Down feature. Push the
window switch down to the second detent, release,
and the window will go down automatically.
To stop the window from going all the way down
du
ring the Auto-Down operation, pull up or push
down on the switch briefly.
CAUTION!
Many accessories that can be plugged in draw
power from the vehicle's battery even when
not in use (i.e., cellular phones, etc.). Eventu -
ally, if plugged in long enough, the vehicle's
b a

ttery will discharge sufficiently to degrade
battery life and/or prevent the engine from
starting.
Accessories that draw higher power (i.e.,
coolers, vacuum cleaners, lights, etc.) will
degrade the battery even more quickly. Only
use these intermittently and with greater
caution.
After the use of high power draw accessories
or long periods of the vehicle not being started
(with accessories still plugged in), the vehicle
must be driven a sufficient length of time to
allow the alternator to recharge the vehicle's
battery.
Power outlets are designed for accessory
plugs only. Do not hang any type of accessory
or accessory bracket from the plug. Improper
use of the power outlet can cause damage.
WARNING!

Never leave children unattended in a vehicle, and
do not let children play with power windows. Do
not leave the key fob in or near the vehicle, or in a
location accessible to children, and do not leave
the ignition of a vehicle equipped with Keyless
Enter ‘n Go™ in the ACC or ON/RUN position.
Occupants, particularly unattended children, can
become entrapped by the windows while operat -
ing the power window switches. Such entrapment
m a

y result in serious injury or death.

Your vehicle may be a connected vehicle and may
be equipped with both wired and wireless
networks. These networks allow your vehicle to
send and receive information. This information
allows systems and features in your vehicle to
function properly.
Your vehicle may be equipped with certain security

atures to reduce the risk of unauthorized and
unlawful access to vehicle systems and wireless
communications. Vehicle software technology
continues to evolve over time and FCA US LLC,
working with its suppliers, evaluates and takes
appropriate steps as needed. Similar to a
computer or other devices, your vehicle may
require software updates to improve the usability and performance of your systems or to reduce the
potential risk of unauthorized and unlawful access
to your vehicle systems.

Uconnect software) is installed.

Audio
When the Audio button is pressed on the touchscreen, the system displays options related to the vehicle’s sound system. These settings can change the audio
location within the vehicle, adjust the bass or treble levels, and auto-play settings from an audio device or smartphone.
NOTE:
Depending on the vehicle’s options, feature settings may vary.

Balance/FadeThis setting will adjust audio levels from specific speakers in the front/back

d left/right of the vehicle. The Speaker icon can be moved to set audio
location.
Equalizer This setting will adjust the “Bass”, “Mid”, and “Treble” ranges of the audio.
Speed Adjusted Volume This setting will adjust audio volume as speeds increase. At a higher setting,
th

e volume will increase more as the vehicle speeds up. The available settings
are “Off”, “1”, “2”, and “3”.
Surround Sound This setting will turn the Surround Sound system on or off.
AUX Volume Offset This setting will tune the audio levels from a device connected through the
AU

X port. The available settings are “+” and “-”.
Auto Play This setting will automatically begin playing audio from a connected device.
