Access to the spare wheel
and tools
Tools provided
The following tools are installed in a carrier, located  in  the  centre  of  the  spare  wheel:
1.
Wheelbrace
2.
 J
ack  with  handle
3.
 R
emovable  towing  eye.
Refer
 to  the  "Towing  the  vehicle"  section.
Tyre pressures
These are indicated on the label affixed to the middle  pillar  of  the  left  door,  driver's  side.
Refer
 to  the  "Identification  markings"  section.
All of these tools are specific to your
vehicle
 and  can  vary  according  to Â
e
quipment.  Do  not  use  them  for  any Â
o
ther
 p
urposes.
Never  go  underneath  a  vehicle Â
s
upported  only  by  a  jack  (use  an  axle Â
s
tand).
Never  use  a  jack  other  than  the  one Â
l
isted  by  the  manufacturer.  If  your Â
v
ehicle  does  not  have  one,  contact Â
a
 CITROËN  dealer  or  a  qualified Â
w
orkshop  to  obtain  the  correct  jack  for Â
y
our  vehicle.

Removing a wheel
F Remove the  label  from  the  middle  of  the  s
pare  wheel  (indicating  that  a  wheel  needs Â
r
epair),  and  fix  it  inside  the  vehicle,  where Â
t
he  driver  can  see  it.

emove  the  wheel  trim  using  the  end  of  the Â
w
heelbrace.
F
Â
S
lacken  the  wheel  bolts  using  the Â
w
heelbrace 1 . F
 P osition  the  foot  of  the  jack  2  on  the  ground  a
nd  ensure  that  it  is  directly  below  one Â
o
f  the  jacking  points  A or B  located  on Â
t
he  underbody,  closest  to  the  wheel  to  be Â
c
hanged.
Ensure
 that  the  jack  is  stable.  If  the  ground  is  slippery  or  loose,  the  jack  may  slip  or  drop  - Â
R
isk  of  injury!
Ensure
 that  the  jack  is  positioned  only  at  one  of  the  jacking  points  A or B under  the  vehicle, Â
m
aking  sure  that  the  vehicle's  contact  area  is  centred  on  the  head  of  the  jack.  Other wise Â
t
here  is  a  risk  of  damage  to  the  vehicle  and/or  of  the  jack  dropping  -  Risk  of  injury  !
F
 E xtend  the  jack  2  until  its  head  is  in  contact Â
w
ith  the  jacking  point  A or B  used.  The Â
c
ontact area A or B  on  the  vehicle  used Â
m
ust  engage  correctly  with  the  middle  of Â
t
he  head  of  the  jack.

Fitting the "space-saver"
type spare wheel
If your vehicle is fitted with alloy wheels, it is normal to  notice  when  tightening Â
t
he  wheel  bolts  that  the  washers  do  not Â
c
ome  into  contact  with  the  "space-
saver"
 type  spare  wheel.  The  wheel  is Â
s
ecured  by  the  conical  contact  sur face Â
o
n  each  bolt.
Fitting a wheel
F Remove  the  bolts  and  put  then  in  a  clean  p
lace.
F
Â
R
emove  the  wheel.
F
Ra
ise the vehicle until there is sufficient
space
Â
between
Â
the
Â
wheel
Â
and
Â
the
Â
ground,
Â
s
o
Â
that
Â
the
Â

punctured)

tore  the  tools  and  the  wheel  in  the  boot.

ower  the  vehicle  to  the  ground.

old  the  jack  2  and  detach  it.
After changing a wheel
As soon as possible, have the
tightness
 of  the  wheel  bolts  and  the Â
p
ressure  of  the  spare  wheel  checked Â
b
y  a  CITROËN  dealer  or  a  qualified Â
w
orkshop.
Have
 the  punctured  tyre  repaired  or Â
r
eplaced  and  refit  it  to  the  vehicle  as Â
s
oon  as  possible.
Do
 not  exceed  50  mph  (80  km/h)  when Â
u
sing  the  "space-saver"  spare  wheel.

Changing a bulb
Front lamps
1. Sidelamps (W5W).

ED*  daytime  running  lamps. In
 some  weather  conditions  (e.g.  low Â
t
emperature  or  humidity),  the  presence Â
o
f  misting  on  the  internal  sur face  of  the Â
g
lass  of  the  headlamps  and  rear  lamps Â
i
s  normal;  it  disappears  after  the  lamps Â
h
ave  been  on  for  a  few  minutes.
The  headlamps  have  polycarbonate Â
l
enses  with  a  protective  coating:
F
d
o not clean them using a dr y
or abrasive cloth, nor with a
detergent or solvent product,
F Â
u
se  a  sponge  and  soapy  water  or  a Â
p
H  neutral  product,
F Â
w
hen  using  a  high  pressure  washer Â
o
n  persistent  marks,  do  not  keep Â
t
he  lance  directed  towards  the Â
l
amps  or  their  edges  for  too  long, Â
s
o  as  not  to  damage  their  protective Â
c
oating
 a
nd
 sea
ls.
Changing  a  bulb  should  only  be  done  a
fter  the  headlamp  has  been  switched  o
ff  for  several  minutes  (risk  of  serious Â
b
urns).
F
Â
D
o  not  touch  the  bulb  directly  with Â
y
our  fingers,  use  a  lint-free  cloth.
It
 is  imperative  to  use  only  anti-
ultraviolet
 (UV)  type  bulbs  to  avoid Â
d
amaging
 t
he
 h
eadlamp.
Always
 replace  a  failed  bulb  with  a Â
n
ew  bulb  with  the  same  type  and Â
s
pecification.

Rear lamps
These bulbs are changed by removing the lamp unit:

pen  the  boot.

T
ip  the  plastic  cover  and  remove  the  screw.

M
ove  the  boot  trim  firmly  aside.
 D
eformation  of  the  trim  is  normal.
F
Â
U
nscrew  the  nut  and  remove  it  (take  care Â
n
ot  to  drop  it  in  the  wing).
F
Â
R
emove  the  lamp  unit  by  pulling  it  firmly Â
o
utwards. F
 A t  the  back  of  the  lamp,  remove  the  failed Â
b
ulb  and  change  it.
When
 refitting,  proceed  in  the  reverse  order, Â
t
aking  care  to  position  the  lamp  unit  correctly.

F Insert a  thin  screwdriver  into  one  of  the  c
utouts  in  the  the  lens.
F

ush  it  outwards  to  unclip  it.

emove  the  lens.

C
hange  the  faulty  bulb.
Third brake lamp
(4 W5W bulbs)
F With the  boot  open,  unclip  the  plastic  cover.
F  P ress  the  metal  clips  to  disengage  the  lamp.
F

emove  the  lamp  via  the  exterior  of  the Â
t
ailgate.
F
Â
R
emove  the  bulb-holder  by  squeezing  the Â
p
lastic  catches.
F
Â
C
hange  the  failed  bulb(s).
Direction indicator side repeaters
(WY 5W amber)
F Push the  repeater  for wards  or  rear wards  a
nd  detach  it  by  pulling  towards  you.
F
Â
D
isconnect  the  bulb  holder  and  change  it.
To

refit,

press

on

the

to

clip

Â
in
Â
place. To refit, carry out these operations in reverse
o r d e r.

Changing a fuse
Access to toolsThe fuseboxes are located behind the dashboard  in  the  passenger  compartment  and Â

ext  to  the  battery  under  the  bonnet.
The
 extraction  tweezer  is  fixed  at  the  front  of Â
t
he
 u
nderbonnet
 f
usebox.

nclip  the  plastic  cover,  located  below Â
t
he  windscreen,  by  pressing  on  the  two Â
c
atches.F

nclip  the  fusebox  cover  by  pressing  on Â
t
he  lug  on  the  right.

emove  the  tweezer.
When
 unclipping  the  plastic  cover,  take Â
c
are  not  to  remove  the  seal.
