Main Menu
By pressing control A then B, you have access to the following func-tions:
Radio-CD (See radio-CD hand-book).
V e h i c l e c o n fi g u r a t i o n, to acti-vate/deactivate:Triggering of rear screen wipe.The automatic guide-me-home lighting.Automatic lighting of head-lamps.Options, to display the alerts.
Display adjustments, to adjust the date and time on the dis-play.Languages, to select the dis-play language.
Units, to access the choices of units of Temperature and Fuel Consumption.

To choose the language:Press button A.
Using B, select the sub-menu f o r L a n g u a g e s . C o n fi r m y o u r choice with a press on C.By presses on E, select the lan-guage of your choice.
Then please wait for the display to disappear.
To choose units:Press button A.Using B, select the sub-menu f o r U n i t s . C o n fi r m y o u r c h o i c e with a press on C.
Using B, select the unit you wish to modify (Temperature or Consumption).
V i a p r e s s e s o n E, select the unit of your choice.Then please wait for the display to disappear.Note: This choice concerns all the types of information (fuel con-sumption, speed, etc.) that appear on the displays.
To display the Log of Alerts:Press button A.Using B, select the sub-menu f o r o p t i o n s . C o n fi r m y o u r c h o i c e with a press on C.Note: You can cancel the start of the display by selecting E to aban-don, validate with a press on C.
The alerts that have previously been signalled to you but not resolved, are recalled to you in a scroll.
To delete the display of an alert, press D.
To adjust the date and the time:Press button A.Using B, select the sub-menu for Display Adjustments, then c o n fi r m w i t h a p r e s s o n C.
Using B, select what you wish to modify: Day, month, year, hour, minutes and display mode.
Make your adjustment by presses on E. You can continue your adjustments, selecting fur-ther parameters by pressing B. W h e n y o u h a v e fi n i s h e d y o u r adjustments, simply wait for the display to disappear.

To adjust the brightness, select the symbols “+” or “–” and con- fi r m y o u r a d j u s t m e n t b y p r e s s -ing C.

To adjust the date and the time:Press button A.

Range
This is the distance that can still be travelled on the amount of fuel remaining in the tank.
When the distance that can still be travelled i s l e s s t h a n a p p r o x . 2 5 k m ( a r o u n d 1 6 m i l e s ) , only three dashes are shown.
Average consumption
This is the relationship between the fuel con-sumed and the distance travelled since the last reset to zero of the trip computer.
Instantaneous consumption
This is the result from the consumption recorded w i t h i n t h e l a s t 2 s e c o n d s . T h i s f u n c t i o n i s o n l y a v a i l a b l e w h e n t r a v e l l i n g a t o v e r 3 0 k m / h .
Average speed
This is obtained, from the last reset to zero of the trip computer, by dividing the distance trav-elled by the time taken (with ignition switched on).
Distance travelled
This is the distance that has been travelled s i n c e t h e l a s t r e s e t t o z e r o o f t h e J o u r n e y selected.

Your vehicle may be equipped with a "Stop & Start" system, in association with an Electronic Gearbox System; this s h u t s d o w n t h e e n g i n e d u r i n g s t o p p i n g p h a s e s ( r e d l i g h t s , t r a f fi c j a m s , t e m p o r a r y h a l t s , e t c . ) .
During these phases, your vehicle uses no fuel, emits no pollut ants and is completely silent.
The engine restarts instantly when you want to move forward ag ain.
Functioning of the "Stop & Start" system:
If you brake to stop your vehicle, the engine shuts down just before the vehicle comes to a complete halt; the green "ECO" warning lamp lights up in the instrument panel. The en gine remains shut down for as long as you keep your foot, even lightly, on the brake pedal.
As you release the brake pedal, the engine restarts automaticall y and instantly. The green "ECO" warning lamp goes out. You can then accelerate to move forward again.

Air inlet
Check that the exterior grille for the air inlet, at the bot-tom of the windscreen, is clean and free of dead leaves, snow, etc.
If washing the vehicle with a high pressure jet, avoid targeting the air inlet zone.
Air vents
The air vents to the face (except the central air vent) h a v e g r i l l e s f o r o r i e n t i n g t h e fl o w o f a i r ( u p - d o w n , r i g h t -left).
Air circulation
For your comfort we advise you to maintain a proper distribution of air within the cabin, both at the front and at the rear.
Air outlets are also located on the central console close to the gear lever, to enhance comfort for the rear pas-sengers.
P o l l e n fi l t e r – O d o u r fi l t e r
Y o u r i n s t a l l a t i o n h a s a fi l t e r f o r k e e p i n g o u t d u s t .
T h i s fi l t e r h a s t o b e c h a n g e d a c c o r d i n g t o t h e v e h i c l e maintenance schedule. See “Maintenance Guide”.
Air conditioning
Whatever the time of year, even in cool weather the air conditioning is useful in removing humidity and misting.
To keep the air conditioning compressor well sealed, it is essential to operate the air conditioning at least once in every month.
To be effective, the air conditioning should only be used with the windows closed.
If you are towing a heavy trailer and outside tempera-tures are high, the air conditioning may be temporarily paused if the engine cooling requires this.
Water arising from condensation in the air conditioning system is evacuated through a hole provided for this purpose ; a pool of water may thus form underneath the vehicle when stationary.
You are advised to have the air conditioning system checked on a regular basis. See “Maintenance Guide”.
The air conditioning operates by using power from the engine. This results in a slight increase in fuel con-sumption.
Demisting - deicing of the wind-screen and front side windowsPlace the controls for temperature and a i r fl o w o n m a x i m u m .
Close the central air vents.
Operate the air conditioning.Note: You should not be in air recirculation.

Draining water from the fuel fi l t e r
Purge regularly (at each oil change).
To drain the water, slacken the bleed screw or the water-in-diesel-fuel sensor located at the base of t h e fi l t e r .
Operate until the water has com-pletely drained away.
Then retighten the bleed screw or the water in diesel fuel sensor.

Priming the fuel system
In the event of running out of fuel: A f t e r fi l l i n g ( 5 l i t r e s m i n i m u m ) , operate the manual priming pump until some resistance is felt.
Operate the starter motor while depressing the accelerator pedal slightly until the engine starts.
I f t h e e n g i n e f a i l s t o s t a r t a t t h e fi r s t a t t e m p t , w a i t 1 5 s e c o n d s b e f o r e trying again.
If the engine fails to start after sev-eral attempts, repeat the procedure from the beginning.
When the engine is idling, acceler-ate slightly to complete the bleed-ing of the circuit.
