Locking the vehicle with exterior
perimeter protection only
Deactivation of the interior
volumetric protection
Switch off the ignition.
Within ten seconds, press button A
until the indicator lamp is on continu-
ously.
Get out of the vehicle.
Lock or deadlock the vehicle without
delay using the locking button on
the remote control.
T h e e x t e r i o r p e r i m e t e r p r o t e c t i o n a l o n e
remains activated; the indicator lamp in
button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d .
To be effective, this deactiva-
tion must be carried out each
time the ignition is switched off.
Reactivation of the interior
volumetric protection
Unlock the vehicle using the unlock-
ing button on the remote control.
Relock the vehicle using the remote
control.
The alarm is activated again with both
types of protection; the indicator lamp in
button A fl a s h e s o n c e p e r s e c o n d . Triggering of the alarm
This is indicated by sounding of the si-
r e n a n d fl a s h i n g o f t h e d i r e c t i o n i n d i c a -
t o r s f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y t h i r t y s e c o n d s .
After it has been triggered, both types of
protection are again operational.
Failure of the remote control
Unlock the vehicle using the key in
the driver’s door lock.
Open the door; the alarm is trig-
gered.
Switch on the ignition; the alarm
stops.
If the alarm is triggered ten times
in succession, the eleventh time
will result in it becoming inactive.
If the indicator lamp in button A
fl a s h e s r a p i d l y , t h i s i n d i c a t e s
that the alarm was triggered
during your absence. When
the ignition is switched on, this
fl a s h i n g s t o p s i m m e d i a t e l y .
To avoid triggering the alarm
when washing your vehicle, lock
it using the key in the driver’s
door lock.
Locking the vehicle without
activating the alarm
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using
the key in the driver’s door lock.
Malfunction
When the ignition is switched on, illumi-
nation of the indicator lamp in button A
for ten seconds indicates malfunction
with the siren.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer
o r a q u a l i fi e d w o r k s h o p .

Automatic activation *
2 minutes after the last door or the boot
is closed, the alarm is activated auto-
matically.
To avoid triggering the alarm on
e n t e r i n g t h e v e h i c l e , fi r s t p r e s s t h e
unlocking button on the remote
control.

Deactivating the rear window and
door switches
For the safety of your children, press
switch 5 to prevent operation of the
rear windows irrespective of their
position.
With the lamp on, the rear controls are
deactivated.
With the lamp off, the rear controls are
activated.
This control also deactivates the
interior rear door controls (see
"Child safety - § Electric child
lock"). Reinitialisation
In the event of a malfunction you have
to reinitialise the operation of the elec-
tric windows:
release the switch and pull it again
until the window closes completely,
h o l d t h e s w i t c h f o r a p p r o x i m a t e l y
one second after closing,
press the switch to lower the window
automatically.
The safety anti-pinch function is not
active during these operations. Always remove the key from the
ignition when leaving the vehicle,
even for a short time.
In the event of contact during
operation of the windows, re-
verse the movement of the win-
dow. To do this, press the switch
concerned.
When the driver operates the
passenger electric window
switches, they should ensure
that no one is preventing correct
closing of the windows.
The driver should ensure that
passengers use the electric win-
dows correctly.
Be aware of children when oper-
ating the windows.

DOORS
Opening
From outside
After unlocking the vehicle using the
remote control or the key, pull the
door handle. From inside
Pull the front door control to open
the door; this unlocks the vehicle
completely.
Pull the rear door control to open
the door; this unlocks only the door
opened. Closing
When a door is not closed correctly:
-
when the engine is running ,
this warning lamp comes on,
accompanied by a message in
the multifunction screen for a
few seconds,
- when the vehicle is moving (speed
higher than 6 mph (10 km/h)), this
warning lamp comes on, accom-
panied by an audible signal and a
message in the multifunction screen
for a few seconds.
Version with
deadlocking
The interior door controls do
not operate when the vehicle is
deadlocked.

Manual centralised control
System which provides full manual
locking or unlocking of the doors from
the inside.
Locking
Press button A to lock the vehicle.
The red indicator lamp on the button
comes on.
If one of the doors is open, cen-
tral locking from the inside does
not take place.
Unlocking
Press button A again to unlock the
vehicle.
The red indicator lamp on the button
switches off. If the vehicle is locked from the
outside, the red indicator lamp
fl a s h e s a n d b u t t o n
A is inactive.
In this case, use the remote
control or the key to unlock
the vehicle.
Automatic centralised control
System which provides full automatic
locking or unlocking of the doors and
the boot while driving.
You can activate or deactivate this func-
tion.
Locking
W h e n t h e s p e e d e x c e e d s 6 m p h
(10 km/h), the doors and the boot lock
automatically. If one of the doors is open, the
automatic central locking does
not take place.
If the boot is open, the automatic
central locking of the doors is
active.
Unlocking
Above 6 mph (10 km/h), press but-
ton A to unlock the doors and the
boot temporarily. Activation
Press button A for more than
two seconds.

To lock or unlock the doors manually in
the event of a malfunction of the central
locking system or failure of the battery.
Locking the driver’s door
Insert the key in the lock, then turn it
to the left.
Unlocking the driver’s door
Insert the key in the lock, then turn it
to the right.
Locking the front and rear
passenger doors
Remove the black cap, located on
the edge of the door, using the key.
Insert the key in the recess, then
turn it as far as it will go.

On the rear doors, check that the

permanent lighting mode.
Following a second press, it comes on: - when the vehicle is unlocked,
- when the key is removed from
the ignition,
- when a door is opened,
- when the remote control locking button is pressed, in order to
locate your vehicle. In permanent lighting mode, the
lighting duration varies, accord-
ing to the circumstances:
- with the ignition off, approxi-
mately ten minutes,
- in energy economy mode, approximately thirty seconds,
- with the engine running, un- limited.
Version with Zenith windscreen In this position, the courtesy
lamp comes on gradually:
- when the vehicle is unlocked,
- when the key is removed from the ignition,
- when a door is opened,
- when the remote control locking but- ton is activated, in order to locate
your vehicle.
It switches off gradually:
- when the vehicle is locked,
- when the ignition is switched on,
- 30 seconds after the last door is closed.
Permanently off.
Permanent lighting.
It switches off gradually:
- when the vehicle is locked,
- when the ignition is switched on,
- 30 seconds after the last door is closed.
To switch off the rear courtesy lamp,
place it in the "permanently off" position.

It is triggered by the speed at which the
brake pedal is pressed.

DRIVING
REAR PARKING SENSORS
S y s t e m c o n s i s t i n g o f f o u r p r o x i m i t y s e n -
sors, located in the rear bumper. Activation
This detects any obstacle (person, vehi-
cle, tree, gate, etc.) behind the vehicle,
e x c e p t o b s t a c l e s l o c a t e d j u s t b e l o w t h e
bumper. A n o b j e c t , s u c h a s a s t a k e , a
roadworks cone or any other
s i m i l a r o b j e c t m a y b e d e t e c t e d
at the beginning of the manoeu-
vre, but may no longer be de-
tected when the vehicle comes
close to it. The parking sensor system can-
not, in any circumstances, take
the place of the vigilance and
responsibility of the driver.
The system is activated as soon as re-
verse gear is engaged, accompanied
by an audible signal.
On completion of the manoeuvre, when
y o u e x i t r e v e r s e g e a r , t h e s y s t e m b e -
comes inactive.
T h e p r o x i m i t y i n f o r m a t i o n i s g i v e n b y :
- an audible signal, which becomes
more rapid as the vehicle approa-
ches the obstacle.
- a graphic (according to version) in the multifunction screen, with blocks
which become increasingly closer to
the vehicle.
When the distance between the rear of
the vehicle and the obstacle is less than
thirty centimetres, the audible signal
becomes continuous and the "Danger"
symbol appears in the multifunction
screen.
