Snow chains
In wintry conditions, snow chains improve traction as well as the behaviour of the vehicle when
braking
The snow chains must be fitted only to the front wheels. They must never be fitted to "space-saver" type sparewheels.
Take account of the legislation in forcein your country on the use of snow chains and the maximum running speed authorised.
Avoid driving on roads that have been cleared of snow, to avoid damaging your vehicle's tyres and the road surface. It is recommended that before you leave, you practise fitting the snow chains ona level and dry surface. If your vehicleis fitted with alloy wheels, check thatno par t of the chain or its fixings is in contact with the wheel rim.
All ori
ginal tyre sizes (15", 16 ", 17 ") can be fitted with chains.

vehicle. )Fit the chains following the instructionsprovided by the manufacturer. )Move off gently and drive for a fewmoments, without exceeding 30 mph (50 km/h). )Stop your vehicle and check that the snow chains are correctly tightened. Use onl
y the chains designed to be fitted to the

The GTW and towed load values indicated are valid up to a maximum altitude of 1 000 metres; the towed load mentioned must be reduced by 10 % for each additional 1 000 metres of altitude.
The speed of a towing vehicle must not exceed 60 mph (10 0 km/h) (comply with the legislation in force in your country).
High ambient temperatures may result in a reduction in the performance of the vehicle to protect the engine; if the ambient temperature is above 37 °C,
limit the towed load.
* For Russia only. ** The weight of the braked trailer can be increased, within the GTW limit, if the GVW of the towing vehicle is reduced by an equal amount; warning,
towing using a lightly loaded towing vehicle may have an adverse effect on its road holding.

Identifi cation markings Various visible markings for the identification of your vehicle.
A.Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) on
the front right door pillar. This number is engraved on the bodyworknear the hinge.
For access to it, open the right-hand door.B
.VIN on the windscreen lower crossmember. The number is on a self-adhesive label
which is visible through the windscreen.
C.Manufacturer's label. This number is indicated on a self-
destroying label affixed to the centre pillar,
on the left-hand side.
The inflation pressures must be checked when the tyres are cold,at least once a month.
If the inflation pressures are too low, this increases fuel consumption.
D.Tyre/paint label. This label is affixed to the centre pillar, on the left-hand side.
It bears the followin
g information:
- the tyre inflation pressures with and withoutload,
- the wheel rim and tyre sizes,
- the brands of tyre recommended by the manufacturer,
- the inflation pressure of the spare wheel,
- the paint colour code.
