Emergency procedure
The integral key is used to lock and unlock the v
ehicle  when  the  electronic  key  cannot  operate Â
a
nd  in  the  event  of  a  fault  with  the  Keyless Â
E
ntry  and  Starting  system:

o  extract  the  emergency  mechanical  key Â

rom  the  electronic  key,  press  button  1  and Â

The
 integral  key  is  also  used  to  deactivate/
reactivate

assenger's

irbag.
It
 provides  a  backup  means  of  locking  the Â

assenger

ors.
It
 also  allows  locking  of  the  vehicle  without Â

ctivation  of  the  alarm.
Emergency unlocking/locking
using the integral key
Unlocking
F Turn the  key  towards  the  front  of  the  v
ehicle  to  unlock  the  vehicle.
Depending
 on  your  version,  the Â
d
irection  indicators  flash  for  a  few Â
s
econds,  the  door  mirrors  unfold  and Â
t
he  welcome  lighting  comes  on.
If
 the  alarm  was  activated,  the  siren  will Â
s
ound  on  opening  the  door  with  the  key Â
(
in  the  remote  control).  It  stops  when Â
t
he  ignition  is  switched  on.

Remote control problem -

Locking the driver's door

Manual operation
When opening and closing a motorised tailgate manually,  there  is  no  assistance  from  gas-filled Â
s
truts.  Resistance  to  opening  and  closing  is Â
t
herefore  entirely  normal.
Reinitialising the tailgate
This operation is necessary where there is no
movement -  after  detection  of  an  obstacle,  after Â
c
onnecting  or  recharging  the  battery, ...

pen  the  tailgate  by  hand,  if  necessary.

anually  close  the  tailgate  fully.

Tailgate release

Precautions in use
In the event of an accumulation of snow o
n  the  tailgate,  clear  the  snow  before Â

 formation  of  ice  can  block  the Â

ailgate  and  prevent  its  opening:  wait Â
u
ntil  the  ice  melts  with  the  heating  of Â
t
he
 p
assenger
 c
ompartment.
When
 washing  the  vehicle  in  an Â
a
utomatic  car  wash,  don't  forget  to Â
l
ock  your  vehicle  to  avoid  the  risk  of Â
u
nexpected
 ope
ning.
Repeated
 opening  and  closing  of  the Â
t
ailgate  can  cause  overheating  of  its Â
e
lectric  motor,  after  which  opening  and Â
c
losing  will  not  be  possible.
Allow
 10  minutes  for  the  motor  to  cool Â
d
own  before  operating  the  tailgate Â
ag
ain. System
 allowing  the  mechanical  unlocking  o
f the boot in the event of a battery or central
locking  system  malfunction.

AlarmSystem which protects and provides a deterrent against theft and break-ins. It provides the following types of monitoring:
- Exterior perimeter
The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
T he  alarm  is  triggered  if  anyone  tries  to  open  a Â
d
oor,  the  boot  or  the  bonnet...
- Interior volumetric
The system checks for any variation in the volume  in  the  passenger  compartment.
The
 alarm  is  triggered  if  anyone  breaks  a Â
w
indow,  enters  the  passenger  compartment  or Â
m
oves  inside  the  vehicle.
Self-protection function
The system checks for the disconnection  of  any  of  its  components.
The
 alarm  is  triggered  if  the  battery, Â
t
he button or the wires of the siren are
disconnected
 o
r
 d
amaged.
Locking the vehicle with full
alarm system
Activation
If an opening (door, boot, bonnet...) is not closed  fully,  the  vehicle  is  not  locked  but  the Â
e
xterior  perimeter  monitoring  will  be  activated Â
a
fter  a  delay  of  45  seconds,  at  the  same  time Â
a
s  the  interior  volumetric  monitoring.

Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.

sing  the  remote  control  or  the  Keyless  Entry Â

onitoring  is  activated  after  a  delay  of Â

econds,  the  interior  volumetric  monitoring Â
