The
 assistance  is  deactivated:  you  can  take Â

er  control.During
 parking  and  exit  from  p
arking  manoeuvres,  the  reversing Â

amera function may come into
operation.
 It  facilitates  monitoring  of Â

he  surroundings  of  the  vehicle,  by Â
d
isplaying  additional  information  in  the Â
in
strument
 pan
el.

During
 a  bay  parking  manoeuvre,  the Â
P
ark  Assist  system  is  automatically Â

eactivated once the rear of the vehicle
is  within  50  cm  of  an  obstacle.

riggered,

f  the  speed  of  the  vehicle  exceeds  the Â

tated limit,

hen the driver interrupts movement of the
steering

heel,

fter 4 manoeuvre cycles,

n  opening  the  driver's  door,

f one of the front wheels encounters an
obstacle.
The
 operation  indicator  lamp  goes  off  in  the Â
i
nstrument  panel  and  a  message  is  displayed Â
a
ccompanied  by  an  audible  signal.
The
 driver  should  then  take  back  control  of  the Â
v
ehicle's
 s
teering.
Deactivation
The system is switched off automatically:
-  w hen  towing  a  trailer,  connected Â
e
lectrically,
-
Â
i
f  the  driver's  door  is  opened,
-
i
f the speed of the vehicle is above 42 mph
(70
 km/h).
To
 switch  the  system  of  for  a  prolonged  period, Â
c
ontact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop.
Operating faults
In the event of a fault with the power
steering,  this  warning  lamp  flashes  in Â
t
he instrument panel, accompanied
by
 a  message.
Contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified
workshop.
Switching off
If the lateral distance between your
vehicle  and  the  space  is  too  great,  the s
ystem may not be able to measure the
space.
Anything
 projecting  beyond  the  envelope
 o
f the vehicle (a ladder on the roof, for
example)
 is  not  taken  into  account  by  the
 P
ark  Assist  system  during  a  manoeuvre.
In bad weather or in winter, ensure that
the sensors are not covered by road
dirt,
 ice  or  snow.
In the event of a fault, have the system
checked
 by  a  CITROËN  dealer  or  a Â
q
ualified
 w
orkshop.
If

Under-inflation alertReinitialisation
This is given by fixed illumination of t
his  warning  lamp,  accompanied  by Â
a
n  audible  signal  and,  depending  on Â
e
quipment,  the  display  of  a  message. It is necessary to reinitialise the system every
time
 one  or  more  tyre  pressures  are  adjusted, Â
a
nd  after  changing  one  or  more  wheels.
F

excessive
 steering  movements  and  sudden Â

raking.

top the vehicle as soon as it is safe
to

I n the event of a puncture, use the
temporary
 puncture  repair  kit  or  the  spare Â

The loss of pressure detected does not
always
 cause  visible  bulging  of  the  tyre. Â

heck. The alert is maintained until the system
is

einitialised.
Snow chains
The system does not have to be
reinitialised after  fitting  or  removing Â
sn
ow
 c
hains.
Before
 reinitialising  the  system,  ensure Â
t
hat the pressures of the four tyres are
correct for the use of the vehicle and in
line with the recommendations on the
tyre  pressure  label.
The under-inflation alert can only
be relied on if the reinitialisation of
the system has been done with the
pressures in the four tyres correctly
adjusted.
The under-inflation detection system
does  not  give  a  warning  if  a  pressure  is Â
i
ncorrect  at  the  time  of  reinitialisation.

Automatic illumination of
headlamps
Activation
F Turn the  ring  to  the  "AUTO" position.  The  a
ctivation of the function is accompanied
by
 the  display  of  a  message.
When
 a  low  level  of  ambient  light  is  detected Â
b
y a sunshine sensor, the number plate lamps,
sidelamps and dipped beam headlamps are
switched on automatically, without any action
on  the  part  of  the  driver.  They  can  also  come Â
o
n if rain is detected, at the same time as
automatic  operation  of  the  windscreen  wipers.
As  soon  as  the  brightness  returns  to  a Â
s
ufficient level or after the windscreen wipers
are switched off, the lamps are switched off
automatically.

Operating fault
In the event of a malfunction of the
sunshine sensor,  the  lighting  comes Â

ase,  the  lighting  will  not  come  on Â

tomatically.
Do not cover the sunshine sensor,
coupled with the rain sensor and
located in the top of the windscreen
behind
 the  rear  view  mirror;  the Â

ssociated  functions  would  no  longer Â
be c
ontrolled.

Do not cover the rain sensor, linked with the sunshine sensor and located in the
centre of the windscreen behind the rear
view
 mirror.
Switch off the automatic rain sensitive
wipers
 when  using  an  automatic  car  wash.
In winter, it is advisable to wait until the
windscreen is completely clear of ice
before
 activating  the  automatic  rain

The system is protected in such a way that it will only operate in your vehicle. Displaying of the Energy Economy Mode message signals that a change to standby is imminent.
