Manual operation (Emer-gency mode)
Driver's door
Insert the key into the lock to lock/unlock the door.
Passenger doors
It is possible to lock the passenger doors in the event of an electrical fault by using control B on each door:With the door open, unclip the plastic cover.
Insert an object, such as the end of a key, into the cavity and turn.
Replace the plastic cover.
Close the door.
After this operation, normal opera-tion resumes using the central unlocking control (inside the vehi-cle), the remote control or the key.

A. Sunlight sensor.B. Soft air conditioning diffusion grille.The soft diffusion grille located in the centre of the dashboard provides an optimum air distribution for the front seats.
This device eliminates unpleasant air currents whilst maintainin g an optimum tempera-ture in the passenger compartment.
To open the soft air diffusion grille, move the control knob upwards.
To close the soft air diffusion grille, move the control knob all the way down.
In very hot weather, to improve the central and lateral venti lation, closing off the soft diffusion air conditioning is recommended.

You are advised to use the automatic air conditioning regulation. This automatically regulates the following f u n c t i o n s f o r m a x i m u m c o m f o r t : a i r fl o w , p a s s e n g e r compartment temperature, and air distribution, using different sensors (external temperature, sunlight). This avoids the need to alter any of the settings, with the exception of the temperature displayed.
Take care not to obstruct the sunlight sensor A.
Provided you retain automatic mode (by pressing button “AUTO”) and all the air vents are open, you will main-tain an optimum comfort level, also removing humidity and misting, whatever the ambient climatic conditions.
The temperature inside the cabin cannot be lower than the temperature outside if the air conditioning is not operating.
To be effective, the air conditioning should only be used with the windows closed. If after a lengthy stop in bright sunlight the interior temperature is excessive, air the passenger compartment by opening the windows for a few moments, then close them again.
To ensure the correct operation of the air conditioning system, it is essential to operate the air conditioning at least once a month.
The air conditioning operates by using power from the engine. This results in a slight increase in fuel con-sumption.
In certain extreme operating conditions (e.g. carrying a full load up a steep gradient in high temperatures), the switching off of the air conditioning allows more power to be transferred to the engine, thereby increasing the towing capacity.
Air inlet
Check that the exterior grille for the air inlet, at the bot-tom of the windscreen, is clean and free of dead leaves, snow, etc.
If washing the vehicle with a high pressure jet, avoid targeting the air inlet zone.
Air circulation
For your comfort we advise you to maintain a proper distribution of air within the cabin, both at the front and at the rear.
To obtain an even distribution of air, ensure that you do obstruct the external air inlet grille located at the base of the windscreen, the air vents, the air outlets on the fl o o r u n d e r n e a t h t h e f r o n t s e a t s , a n d t h e a i r e x t r a c t o r l o c a t e d b e h i n d t h e fl a p s i n t h e b o o t .
T h e f r o n t a n d r e a r a i r v e n t s a r e fi t t e d w i t h c o n t r o l k n o b s w h i c h a l l o w y o u t o c o n t r o l a n d d i r e c t t h e a i r fl o w . I t i s recommended to keep all the air vents open.

2. Temperature adjustment
Turn control 2 to change the temperature:Clockwise to increase the temperature.
Anti-clockwise to reduce the temperature.
The chosen temperature is displayed.
An adjustment around 21 will give you the optimum comfort level. However, depending on your preferences anywhere between 18 and 24 is quite usual.
Operating the air conditioning system on “AUTO” guar-antees good ventilation inside the cabin.Note: The value indicated on the display corresponds to a comfort level and not to a temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Manual mode
One or more functions can be adjusted manually, while still retaining the other functions in automatic mode.
Press one of the buttons, except the temperature adjustment 2. The light A goes out.
Changing to manual mode may result in a decrease in comfort level (temperature, humidity, smell, misting) and is not advised for optimum comfort.
To return to “AUTO” mode, press button 1. Light Acomes on.

Press on buttons 3 t o c h a n g e t h e a i r fl o w d i s -tribution.
The symbol (arrows) corresponding to the chosen dis-tribution lights up:Windscreen and front windows.Front air vents (central, side and soft diffusion grille if open) and rear air vents.
Front and rear footwells.Note: You cannot select distribution to the windscreen/front windows and to the front/rear air vents at the same time.

7. Rear demisting - deicing
Press button 7, with the engine running, to start a rapid deicing or demisting of the rear screen and rear view mirrors. The warning lamp comes on.
This mode automatically stops depending on the out-side temperature. It can be interrupted by a further press on button 7 or by stopping the engine.
In the latter case, demisting will resume when the engine is switched on again.Note: The heated rear screen operates independently of the automatic air conditioning.
This button activates the recirculation of air in the pas-senger compartment.
Press button 8 to switch off the entry of air from outside. The warning lamp comes on.
Whilst retaining the other settings, this position allows the driver at any moment to exclude unpleasant smells or smoke/emissions coming from outside.
This mode should be cancelled as soon as possible to allow the redistribution of air in the passenger compartment.
8. Air recirculation – Entry of air from outside
Remarks:When starting from cold, in order to prevent unwanted c o l d a i r , t h e a i r fl o w w i l l i n c r e a s e o n l y g r a d u a l l y t o i t s optimum level.
If you enter the vehicle after a fairly prolonged stop and the temperature inside the vehicle is far from comfortable, it serves no purpose to modify the tem-perature that is displayed as an attempt to go imme-diately to the desired comfort level. The system automatically uses all of its power to compensate the temperature gap as quickly as possible.Water arising from the condensation in the air con-ditioning drains out through a hole provided for this purpose ; a pool of water may thus form underneath the vehicle when stationary.
Whatever the time of year, even in cool weather the air conditioning is useful in removing humidity and misting. Avoid driving for too long with air condition-ing deactivated.

This is the normal operating mode for the system. Depending on the level of comfort chosen, a press on t h i s b u t t o n , c o n fi r m e d b y l i g h t A coming on, allows all of the following functions to be automatically and simulta-neously controlled: A i r fl o w .
Cabin temperature.Air distribution.
Air conditioning.
Automatic air recirculation.
It is recommended to keep all the air vents open. Just by pressing any of the buttons, except for tempera-ture 1a and 1b, you can change to manual mode. The light A goes out.

Switching off the entry of air
Press button 6 to switch off the entry of air from outside.
Whilst retaining the other settings, this posi-tion allows the driver at any moment to exclude unpleasant smells or smoke/emissions coming from outside.
This mode should be cancelled as soon as possible to allow the redistribution of air in the passenger compartment.
Entry of air from outside
Press once on button 6 to return to the origi-nal status (Entry of air from outside).
7. Rear demisting - deicing
Press button 7, with the engine running, to start a rapid deicing or demisting of the rear screen and rear view mirrors. The warning lamp comes on.

8. Front demisting - deicing
In some cases, “AUTO ” m o d e m a y n o t b e s u f fi c i e n t t o demist or defrost the windows (e.g. humidity, several passengers, frost).
Press button 8 for rapid clear windows. The warning lamp comes on. This system controls air conditioning, t e m p e r a t u r e a n d a i r fl o w / e n t r y . I t d i s t r i b u t e s v e n t i l a t i o n towards the windscreen and the front windows.
You can manually exit “Demisting” mode. This mode should be cancelled as soon as possible to allow the redistribution of air in the passenger compartment.
A press on either of the buttons 1a or 1b allows you to return to “AUTO” mode.
