Access to the spare wheel
To access the spare wheel:1. L i f t u p t h e b o o t fl o o r u s i n g t h e fi r s t s t r a p .2. Fold back the boot carpet.3. Attach the second strap to the upper section of the boot.4. To remove the spare wheel, detach the strap then push the wheel forwards so as to be able to lift it.

Note: The tools are to be found in a protective holder inside the spare wheel.

This operation should only be performed while the vehicle is stationary.
Open the door.
To unlock, pull release lever A.
Lift up lever B, then raise the bon-net.

Wheel not detected

T h i s s y s t e m d o e s n o t d i s p e n s e w i t h t h e r e q u i r e m e n t t o c h e c k t h e t y r e s o n a r e g u l a r b a s i s ( s e e “ V e h i c l e i d e n t i fi c a -tion”), to make sure that the vehicle is behaving correctly and to avoid premature tyre wear arising from driving too fast etc.
Do not forget to check the pressure in the spare wheel.

Use the 4 securing rings on the b o o t fl o o r t o s e c u r e y o u r l u g g a g e .
For safety reasons, in case of the need for sharp braking, you are advised to place heavy objects as far forward in the boot as possible.

To reposition the spare wheel
To put the spare wheel back in the boot1. P o s i t i o n t h e s p a r e w h e e l fl a t i n the boot, then pull it towards you.2. Next place the toolbox inside the wheel, then secure the assembly with the belt.3. Release the strap to return the b o o t fl o o r t o i t s i n i t i a l p o s i t i o n .
Tyre pressures
The tyre pressure is indicated on the label located on the left-hand door centre pillar. See “Vehicle i d e n t i fi c a t i o n ” a n d “ U s e r P r e c a u -tions”. On this label, the pressures a r e s p e c i fi e d d e p e n d i n g o n t h e vehicle speed and load.

I f y o u r v e h i c l e i s fi t t e d w i t h a s p a r e w h e e l o f a d i f f e r e n t s i z e t o those on the vehicle, you must not exceed 80 km/h (50 mp h) whilst using the spare wheel.
T h e w h e e l b o l t s a r e s p e c i fi c t o t h e t y p e o f w h e e l .
If the type of wheel is changed, check with your CITROËN dealer that the wheel bolts are compatible with the new wheels.
Note: take care to note down the code number engrav ed on the head of the anti-theft bolt socket. This will enable you to obtain replacement anti-theft bolt sockets from a dealership.
Spare wheel
Y o u r v e h i c l e m a y b e fi t t e d w i t h a different spare wheel to those on t h e v e h i c l e . W h e n fi t t i n g t h e s p a r e wheel, it is normal to notice that the wheel bolt washers do not come into contact with the wheel rim.
The spare wheel is secured by the conical tapering of the wheel bolt’s shaft. See illustration.
W h e n r e fi t t i n g t h e o r i g i n a l w h e e l , ensure that the wheel bolt contact surfaces are clean and in good condition.
R e fi t t i n g a w h e e l1. Fit the wheel on the hub, using the centring guide. Make sure that the contact surface between the hub and the wheel is clean.2. Screw in the bolts but do not fully tighten them.3. Lower the jack and remove it.4. Tighten the wheel bolts, using the wheelbrace.5. R e fi t t h e p r o t e c t o r s o n t h e bolts.6. Return the ground clearance to the normal position. See chap-ter “Hydractive III+ Suspen-sion”.7. Ensure the tyre pressure is c o r r e c t ( s e e “ V e h i c l e i d e n t i fi c a -tion”) and have the balancing checked.
W h e e l e q u i p p e d w i t h d e fl a -tion detection sensor
Such wheels have tyre pressure sensors. It is essential to have repairs carried out by a CITROËN dealer.
Anti-theft bolts
Each wheel is equipped with one anti-theft bolt.
To remove it1. Remove the protector using tool 3.2. Use the anti-theft socket with the handle.

TOWING WITH WHEELS ON THE GROUND

Detach the cover:For the front cover, lever with a screwdriver at the top of the cover.
For the rear cover, press on the right hand side.
The ignition key must be in position M to retain steering.
Use a bar with attachments to the towing eyes as above.
The towing eye is removable, to be stowed in the jack protect ion box inside the spare wheel.
