If one of the following warning lamps

the system is reactivated automati-

Wait until this goes off before oper-
ating the starter.
When the engine is running or the

Lighting is associated
with another warning
lamp:
Service If this warning lamp
comes on, it indicates
the occurrence of a
problem in one of the
systems which does not have a spe-
c i fi c w a r n i n g l a m p .
In order to identify it, see the mes-
sage on the multifunction screen.
The warning lamp only comes on
temporarily in the case of the follow-
ing minor faults:
- incorrect closing of the doors, boot, rear screen and bonnet,
- fl a t r e m o t e c o n t r o l b a t t e r y ,
- low tyre pressure,
- the saturation of the particle e m i s s i o n fi l t e r ( D i e s e l ) .
In the case of major faults, the warn-
ing lamp remains on until the operating
f a u l t i s r e c t i fi e d , c o n t a c t a C I T R O Ë N
dealer as soon as possible. Braking
If this comes on, it indicates
the occurrence of a fault in
one of the braking systems:
- s i g n i fi c a n t d r o p i n t h e fl u i d l e v e l in the circuit,
- electronic brake force distribu- tion (EBFD) faulty (simultane-
ous lighting of the ABS warning
lamp),
stop the vehicle immediately and as
safely as possible.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
Parking brake
When stationary, the perma-
nent lighting of this warning
l a m p c o n fi r m s t h a t t h e p a r -
king brake is applied.
I f t h i s w a r n i n g l a m p fl a s h e s , i t i n d i -
cates a fault with its application or re-
lease. Consult a CITROËN dealer.
With the engine running, and when
displayed at the same time as the
STOP warning lamp, it indicates that
t h e b r a k e fl u i d l e v e l i s t o o l o w . Electric parking brake fault
This warning lamp comes
on if there is a fault with the
electric parking brake.
Electric parking brake -
deactivation of automatic
functions This warning lamp comes
on if the "automatic lock-
ing" (upon switching off the
ignition) and the "automatic
unlocking" functions are de-
activated or faulty.
Dynamic stability control
(ESP/ASR) The ESP/ASR system is put
into service automatically
when the vehicle is started.
Unless the system has been deacti-
vated, if this warning lamp comes on
continuously, accompanied by a mes-
sage on the instrument panel screen,
switching on of the SERVICE warning
lamp and an audible signal, this indi-
cates the occurrence of a fault in the
ESP/ASR system.
Central alert
- punctured wheel,
- braking,
- coolant temperature,
stop the vehicle immediately and as
safely as possible.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
Anti-lock braking system (ABS) If this comes on, it indicates
the occurrence of a fault in
the anti-lock braking sys-
tem.
However, this does not prevent op-
eration of the vehicle's servo assist-
ed braking. If this warning lamp comes on, stop
immediately and contact a CITROËN
dealer.
Consult a CITROËN dealer.

Engine autodiagnostics system If this comes on, it indicates
the occurrence of a fault in
the engine management
system.
I f i t fl a s h e s , i t i n d i c a t e s t h e o c c u r r e n c e o f
a fault in the emission control system.
Maximum coolant temperature If this comes on, it indicates
that the temperature in the
cooling system is too high.
Stop the vehicle immediately
and as safely as possible.
Check the coolant level.
If the level is low, contact a CITROËN
dealer.
Fuel low
If this comes on, it indicates
that the range remaining
i s a p p r o x i m a t e l y 3 0 m i l e s
(50 km).
It may be less than this in certain
driving conditions and depending on
the engine.
T h e c a p a c i t y o f t h e t a n k i s a p p r o x i -
mately 71 litres. Battery charge
If this comes on, it indi-
cates the occurrence of a
fault in the battery charging
circuit (dirty or loose termi-
nals, slack or cut alternator
belt...).
Seat belt not fastened/
unfastened *
* According to country.
This warning lamp lights
up on the instrument panel
to remind the driver and all
passengers that they must
fasten their seat belt.
It is linked to the seat belt informa-
tion given by the roof console. Seat belt non-fastening/
unfastening
This warning lamp
informs you of the
non-fastening and
unfastening of the
driver and passenger seat belts.
The illuminated positions represent
the passengers whose seat belts
are not fastened/unfastened.
Driver’s seat belt not fastened:
- The warning lamp lights up be- tween 0 and 12 mph (20 km/h).
A b o v e 1 2 m p h , i t fl a s h e s a c -
companied by a sound signal for
around 120 seconds.
Front and rear passenger seat belts
not fastened:
- When the ignition is switched on, the points corresponding to
the seat positions with seat belts
not fastened remain lit up for
30 seconds.
Seat belts unfastened during the
journey:
- The point corresponding to the seat position with seat belt un-
fastened lights up between 0 and
12 mph (20 km/h). Above
1 2 m p h , i t fl a s h e s a c c o m p a n i e d
by an audible signal for around
120 seconds. The audible signal
stops when the seat belt is re-
fastened or if a door is opened.

Engine oil temperature gauge
Under normal operating conditions,
the bars should be within section 1 .
In severe operating conditions, the
b a r s m a y e x t e n d i n t o s e c t i o n 2 .
In this event, slow down, and if neces-
sary, stop the engine and check the
levels (see corresponding chapter). Coolant temperature
indicator
Under normal operating conditions,
the bars should be within section
1 .
In severe operating conditions, the
b a r s m a y e x t e n d i n t o s e c t i o n 2 , the
engine coolant temperature warning
lamp A and the STOP warning lamp
will light up, stop immediately . Switch
off the ignition. The cooling fan may
continue to operate for a certain
time .
Consult a CITROËN dealer.
If the SERVICE warning lamp lights
up, check the levels (see correspon-
ding chapter). On horizontal ground, the lighting of
the fuel low warning lamp warns you
that you are at the reserve level.
A message alert is displayed on the
instrument panel.

turn the dial to move the selection,

Press the "SETUP" button to gain
access to the "SETUP" menu.
This allows you to select from
the following functions:
- "Languages and Speech",
- "Date & Time",
- "Display",
- "Units",
- "System".
Language & Speech
This menu allows you to:
- select the language used by the display (Deutsch, English,
Espanol, Français, Italiano,
Nederlands, Polski, Portugues,
Türkçe * ),
- select the voice recognition pa- rameters (activation/deactiva-
tion, advice on use, personal
voice programming, etc.),
- set the volume of the voice syn- thesiser. Date & Time
This menu allows you to set the date
and time, the format of the date and
the format of the time (refer to the
"Audio Equipment" section or to the
s p e c i fi c u s e r g u i d e g i v e n t o y o u w i t h
the other owner's documents).
Display
This menu allows you to set the
brightness of the screen, the screen
colour scheme and the colour of the
map (day/night or auto mode).
This menu allows you to select the
units: temperature (°C or °F) and
distance (km or miles).
System
This menu allows you to restore the
f a c t o r y c o n fi g u r a t i o n , d i s p l a y t h e
software version and activate the
s c r o l l i n g t e x t .
For safety reasons, it is impera-
t i v e t h a t c o n fi g u r a t i o n o f t h e m u l -
tifunction screen by the driver is
carried out when stationary.

C O M F O R T
AUTOMATIC AIR CONDITIONING (MONO ZONE)
This is the normal sys-
tem operating mode.
In accordance with the
level of comfort chosen,
pressing this control,
c o n fi r m e d b y t h e s w i t c h -
ing on of indicator lamp A , permits au-
tomatic and simultaneous control of all
of the following functions:
- A i r fl o w .
- Temperature in the passenger compartment.
- Air distribution.
- Air intake.
- Air conditioning.
1. Automatic operation
It is advisable to leave all of the
vents open.
Simply pressing one of the controls,
w i t h t h e e x c e p t i o n o f c o n t r o l

es the system to manual mode.
Indicator lamp A switches off. 2. Temperature adjustment
Turn control 2 to change the temperature:
- Clockwise to in-
crease the temper-
ature.
- Anticlockwise to reduce the temper-
ature.
The setting required is displayed.
The value indicated on the display
corresponds to a level of comfort
and not to a temperature in degrees
Celsius or Fahrenheit, depending on
t h e s c r e e n c o n fi g u r a t i o n .
A setting around the value 21 usually
makes it possible to obtain optimum
comfort. However, depending on
your requirements, a setting between
18 and 24 is usual.
On entering the vehicle, the interior
temperature may be much colder (or
warmer) than is comfortable. There
is no need to change the tempera-
ture displayed in order to obtain rap-
idly the level of comfort required.
The automatic regulation of the air
c o n d i t i o n i n g w i l l u s e i t s m a x i m u m
performance settings to correct the
temperature difference as quickly as
possible.
Mono zone: this is the overall regu-
lation of the temperature, distribu-
t i o n a n d fl o w o f a i r i n t h e p a s s e n g e r
compartment.
The symbols and messages associat-
ed with the automatic air conditioning
controls appear on the multifunction
screen.
