33Monitoring
Operation indicator lamps
If one of the following indicator lamps comes on, this confirms that the corresponding system has come into operation.
Warning lampis onCauseAction/Observations
Left-handdirection indicatorflashing with buzzer. The lighting stalk is pushed down.
Right-handdirection indicatorflashing with buzzer. The lighting stalk is pushed up.
Sidelampsfixed. The lighting stalk is in the "Sidelamps"
position.
Dipped beam headlampsfixed. The lighting stalk is in the "Dippedbeam headlamps" position.
Main beamheadlampsfixed. The lighting stalk is pulled towards you. Pull the stalk to return to dipped beam headlamps.
Front foglampsfixed. The front foglamps are switched on. Turn the ring on the stalk rear wards twice to switch off
the front foglamps.
Rear foglampsfixed. The rear foglamps are switched on. Turn the ring on the stalk rear wards to switch off the rear foglamps.
Hazard warning lamps
flashing with audiblesignal.The hazard warning lamps switch, located on the dashboard, has been
operated. The le
ft-hand and right-hand direction indicators and
their associated indicator lamps flash simultaneously.

Lighting controls System for selection and control of the various front and rear lamps providing the vehicle's lighting.
The various front and rear lamps of the vehicle
are designed to adapt the driver's visibility progressively according to climatic conditions:
- sidelamps, to be seen,
- dipped beam headlamps to see without dazzling other drivers,
- main beam headlamps to see clearly when
th
e road is clear.
Main lighting
Other lamps are installed to fulfil therequirements of particular conditions of
visibility:
- a rear foglamp to be seen from afar,
- front foglamps for improved vision.
- LED lamps to be seen during the daytime.
Additional lighting
Various automatic lighting control modes
are also available accordin
g to the followingoptions:
- guide-me-home lighting,
- automatic illumination of headlamps.
Programming
In some weather conditions (e.g. low temperature or humidity), the presence of misting on the internal surface of theglass of the headlamps and rear lampsis normal; it disappears after the lamps have been on for a few minutes.

113Visibility
LED lamps
Daytime external lighting using specific front lamps providing a signature of the vehicle. Comprising
two sets of six light emitting diodes (LEDs), they are located in the ver tical scoops below each
headlamp.
On star ting the vehicle, in daylight the LED
lamps come on automatically, if the lighting
stalk is in position "0"or "AUTO".
If the sidelamps and headlamps are switched
on manually or automatically, the LED lampsswitch off.
For countries where exterior lighting by day is not a legal requirement, you can activate or deactivate the function via the multifunction
screen configuration menu.
Headlamp
adjustment
To avoid causing a nuisance to other road
users, the height of the headlamps should be
adjusted in relation to the load in the vehicle.
0.Driver only or driver + front passenger. -.Intermediate setting 1. 5 people. -. 5 people + load in the boot.2. Driver only + maximum authorised load in
the boot.
This position is sufficient to avoid causing dazzle.
Higher settings may limit the spread of lightfrom the headlamps.
The initial setting is position "0"

Programming
In countries where it is a legalrequirement:- this function is activated by default and cannot be deactivated,- in daylight, the sidelamps and number plate lamps also come on, - If the sidelamps or headlampsare switched on manually or automatically, the LED lamps switch off.For versions not fitted with LED lamps, it is the dipped beam headlamps thatcome on automatically on star ting the vehicle.
