Before moving off, if the passenger compartment is too warm, ventilate it by opening the windows and air vents before using the air conditioning.
Above
30 mph (50 km/h), close the windows and leave the air vents
ope
n.
Remember
to make use of equipment that can help keep the
t
emperature in the passenger compartment down (sunroof and window
b
linds...).
Switch
off the air conditioning, unless it has automatic regulation, as
s
oon as the desired temperature is attained.
Switch
off the demisting and defrosting controls, if not automatic.
Switch
off the heated seat as soon as possible.
Switch
off the headlamps and front foglamps when the level of light
d
oes not require their use.
Avoid
running the engine before moving off, particularly in winter; your
v
ehicle will warm up much faster while driving.
Eco-driving
Eco-driving is a range of everyday practices that allow the motorist to optimise their fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
Optimise the use of your gearbox
With a manual gearbox, move off gently and change up without waiting. During acceleration change up early.
With
an automatic or electronic gearbox, give preference to automatic
m
ode and avoid pressing the accelerator pedal heavily or suddenly.
The
gear efficiency indicator invites you engage the most suitable gear:
a
s soon as the indication is displayed in the instrument panel, follow it
s
traight away.
For
vehicles fitted with an electronic or automatic gearbox, this
i
ndicator appears only in manual mode.
drive smoothly
Maintain a safe distance between vehicles, use engine braking rather than the brake pedal, and press the accelerator progressively. These
p
ractices contribute towards a reduction in fuel consumption and CO
2
emissions
and
also
helps
reduce
the
background
traffic
noise.
Control the use of your electrical
equipment
If your vehicle has cruise control, make use of the system at speeds a bove 25 mph (40 km/h) when the traffic is flowing well.As
a passenger, if you avoid connecting your multimedia devices
(
film, music, video game...), you will contribute towards limiting the c
onsumption of electrical energy, and so of fuel.
Disconnect your portable devices before leaving the vehicle.

Alarm
System which protects and provides a deterrent against the theft of your vehicle. It provides two types of protection, exterior and interior, as well as a self-protection f unction.
Exterior perimeter
protection
The system detects opening of the vehicle.
T he alarm is triggered if anyone tries to enter
t
he vehicle by forcing a door, the boot or the
b
onnet.
Interior volumetric
protection
The system detects any variation in the volume in the passenger compartment.
The
alarm is triggered if anyone breaks a
w
indow or moves inside the vehicle.
If you wish to leave a pet in the vehicle or a
window
partially open, deactivate the interior
v
olumetric
pro
tection.
Self-protection function
The system detects the putting out of service of its components.
The
alarm is triggered if anyone tries to put
t
he wires of the siren, the central control or the
battery
out of service.
Do
not make any modifications to the alarm
s
ystem, this could cause malfunctions.

Ventilation
Air intake
The air circulating in the passenger compartment is filtered and originates either from the outside via t
he grille located at the base of the windscreen or
f
rom the inside in air recirculation mode.
Air treatment
The incoming air follows various routes depending on the controls selected by the
d
river:
-
d
irect arrival in the passenger
c
ompartment (air intake),
-
p
assage through a heating circuit (heating),
-
p
assage through a cooling circuit (air
c
onditioning).
The
temperature control enables you to obtain
t
he level of comfort required by mixing the air of
t
he various circuits.
The
air distribution control enables you to
d
iffuse the air in the passenger compartment
c
ombining several air vents.
The air flow control enables you to increase or
reduce
the speed of the ventilation blower.
Control panel
The controls of this system are grouped together on control panel A on the centre
console.
Depending on the model, the
f
unctions offered are:
-
t
he level of comfort required,
-
a
ir flow,
-

ir distribution,
-
d
