GENERALITIES
The anti starting bushing (picture 5) is located around the starting contact a nd is accessible
after the dismounting the steering wheel’s cases. It catches the signal from the key head and then
s ends a coded signal t o the E .C.U. decoder.
The vehicles equipped with RF remote control keys for blocking/ unlocking t he doors are
provided with another anti starting bushing which transmits to the E.C.U. decoder also the signal
received from the RF remote control.
The recognition of the two types of decoding bushings is realised by means of codes labelled
on their body, as follows :
- code 042264J - for vehicles w ithout RF remote control
- code 8200044257 - for vehicles with RF remote control
The E.C.U. decoder (picture 6) has the
following functions :
- decode the signal received from the anti
starting bushing ;
- sends a c ode to the injection computer
in order to authorise the engine starting.
- controls the anti starting indicator of the
instrument panel - receives the coded signal from the anti
NOTE
In case both keys we re lost, the code of the key head (8 characters) and the code of
the m etal insertion (4 characters) can be red from the vehicle invoice. If al so the i nvoice
was lost, the two mentioned codes can be found out based on the chassis series number
of that vehicle, accessing the database of the DACIA manufacturer, calling the TECH
LINE.
