provided)” under “Knowing Your Vehicle” for further

Remote Key Unlock, Driver Door/All Doors
1st Press
This feature lets you program the system to unlock
either the driver's door or all doors on the first press of
the UNLOCK button on the RKE transmitter. To
change the current setting, refer to “Uconnect
Touch™ Settings” in “Knowing Your Vehicle” for fur-
ther information.
Flash Headlights With Lock
This feature will cause the turn signal lights to flash
when the doors are locked or unlocked with the RKE
transmitter. This feature can be turned on or turned
off. To change the current setting, refer to “Uconnect
Touch™ Settings” in “Knowing Your Vehicle” for fur-
ther information.
Turn Headlights On With Remote Key Unlock
This feature activates the headlights for up to 90 sec-
onds when the doors are unlocked with the RKE
transmitter. The time for this feature is programmable
on vehicles equipped through Uconnect Touch™. To
change the current setting, refer to “Uconnect
Touch™ Settings” in “Knowing Your Vehicle” for fur-
ther information.TO LOCK THE DOORS AND LIFTGATE
Press and release the LOCK button on the RKE trans-
mitter to lock all doors and liftgate. The turn signal
lights will flash to acknowledge the signal.

PROGRAMMING ADDITIONAL TRANSMITTERS
Programming Key Fobs or RKE transmitters may be
performed at an authorized dealer.
TRANSMITTER BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The recommended replacement battery is one
CR2032 battery.
NOTE:
• Perchlorate Material — special handling may apply.
Batteries could contain dangerous materials. Please
dispose of them according to respect for environment
and local laws.
• Used batteries are harmful to the environment. You
can dispose of them either in the correct containers as
specified by law or by taking them to a FIAT Dealership,
which will deal with their disposal.
• Do not touch the battery terminals that are on the
back housing or the printed circuit board.

• When both switches are on Channel 2, the Remote
is controlling Channel 2 and the headphones are tuned
to the audio of the VES™ Channel 2.
2. Press the MODE button on the remote control.
3. If the video screen is displaying a video source (suchas a DVD Video), pressing STATUS shows the status
on a popup banner at the bottom of the screen.
Pressing the MODE button will advance to the next
mode. When the mode is in an audio only source
(such as FM), the Mode Selection menu appears on
screen.
4. When the Mode Selection menu appears on screen, use the cursor buttons on the remote control to
navigate to the available modes and press the EN-
TER button to select the new mode.
5. To cancel out of the Mode Selection menu, press the BACK button on the remote control.
Replacing The Batteries
Each set of headphones requires two AAA batteries for
operation. To replace the batteries:
• Locate the battery compartment on the left ear cup of the headphones, and then slide the battery cover
downward.
• Replace the batteries, making sure to orient them according to the polarity diagram shown.
• Replace the battery compartment cover. Unwired

ranty does not cover any damage or defect that results

wear over time through normal use, are specifically not
covered (replacement foam is available for a nominal

** If the car is used for less than 10 000 km per year, it
is necessary to replace engine oil and cartridge every
12 months.
*** The actual interval for replacement of engine oil
and cartridge depends by vehicle usage conditions and
is shown through a gauge or a message (if available) on
the dashboard or at least every 24 months.
Failure to perform the required mainte-
nance items may result in damage to the
vehicle.
Regular Checks
Every 1,000 km or before long journeys, check and top
up the following if necessary:
• engine coolant fluid, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid and power steering fluid;
• tire pressure and condition;
• operation of lighting system (headlights, direction indicators, hazard lights, etc.);
• operation of the windshield wiper/washer system, position and wear of windshield/rear window wiper
blades;
• Check and add, if required, the engine oil level every 3,000 km. Use Of The Car Under Heavy Conditions
If you use the car mainly under one of the followingconditions:
• trailer or caravan towing;
• dusty roads;
• short (less than 7-8 km) and repeated journeys in
sub-zero temperatures;
• frequent engine idling, travelling long distances at low speeds or long term inactivity, perform the following
inspections more frequently than shown on the
Maintenance Schedule;
• check front disc brake pad condition and wear;
• check cleanliness of hood latches, as well as cleanli- ness and lubrication of linkages;
• visually inspect the conditions of: engine, transmis- sion, pipes and tubes (exhaust - fuel - brakes), rubber
parts (boots, sleeves, etc.);
• check battery charge and liquid level (electrolyte);
• visually inspect the condition of auxiliary drive belts;
• check and if necessary change engine oil and oil filter;
• check pollen filter and replace it, if required;
• check air filter and replace, if required;
• check fuel filter and replace, if required.

ENGINE AIR CLEANER FILTER
Refer to the “Maintenance Schedule” for the proper
maintenance intervals.
WARNING!
The air induction system (air cleaner,
hoses, etc .) can provide a measure of
protection in the case of engine backfire. Do not
remove the air induction system (air cleaner,
hoses, etc .) unless such removal is necessary for
repair or maintenance. Make sure that no one is
near the engine compartment before starting the
vehicle with the air induction system (air cleaner,
hoses, etc .) removed. Failure to do so can result in
serious personal injury.
Engine Air Cleaner Filter Selection
The quality of replacement engine air cleaner filters
varies considerably. Only high quality filters should be
used to assure most efficient service.
MAINTENANCE-FREE BATTERY
You will never have to add water, and periodic mainte-
nance is not required.
NOTE: The battery is stored in a compartment that
is located behind the left front fender and is accessible
through the wheel well. The wheel and tire assemble
do not need to be removed to access the compart- ment. Remote battery terminals are located in the
engine compartment for jump-starting.
To access the battery, turn the steering wheel fully to
the right and remove the access panel from the inner
fender shield.
WARNING!
 Battery fluid is a corrosive acid solu-
tion and can burn or even blind you. Do
not allow battery fluid to contact your eyes, skin,
or clothing. Do not lean over a battery when
attaching clamps. If acid splashes in eyes or on
skin, flush the area immediately with large
amounts of water.
 Battery gas is flammable and explosive. Keep
flame or sparks away from the battery. Do not
use a booster battery or any other booster source
with an output greater than 12 Volts. Do not
allow cable clamps to touch each other.
 Battery posts, terminals, and related accesso-
ries contain lead and lead compounds. Wash
hands after handling.
