Number plate light
To change the bulb, proceed as follows:
❒use a screwdriver to remove the re-
taining spring as shown in fig. 35;

THIRD STOP LIGHT
To change the bulb, proceed as follows:
❒slacken the two screws A-fig. 37and
remove the whole cover;
❒disconnect connector B-fig. 38and re-
move the light unit;

❒remove the transparent A-fig. 36and
the bulb Bfrom the bulb holder;
❒change the 12V-5W bulb pressure-fit-
ted in the bulb holder;
❒ refit the lens.

❒insert the screwdriver supplied with the
car in the point shown by the arrow

❒replace the bulb C-fig. 42releasing the
side contacts, insert the new bulb and
make sure that it is correctly clamped
between the contacts;

IF A FUSE BLOWS
GENERAL fig. 45
The fuse is a protective device for the
electric system: it comes into action (i.e.
it cuts off) mainly due to a fault or im-
proper action on the system.
When a device does not work, check the
efficiency of its fuse: the conductor ele-
ment Amust be intact. If not, replace the
fuse with one of the same amp rating
(same colour).
Bundamaged fuse.
Cfuse with damaged filament.
To facilitate fuse replacement, use the pli-
ers Dhooked to the fusebox on the in-
strument panel left-hand side.
Refer to the tables on the following pages
to identify the protection fuse.
❒open the bulb cover B-fig. 44and re-
place the pressure-fitted bulb C;
❒refit the cover Bon the transparent;
❒refit correctly the light pressing one
side and then the other until the lock-
ing click is heard.

Never replace a fuse with
metal wires or anything else.
Never replace a fuse with
another with a higher amp
rating; DANGER OF FIRE.
WARNING
If a general fuse (MEGA-
FUSE, MIDI-FUSE, MAXI-
FUSE) cuts in, do not attempt any re-
pair and contact a Fiat Dealership.
WARNING
If a fuse blows again, contact
a Fiat Dealership.

Before replacing a fuse,
make sure the ignition key
has been removed and that all the
other services are switched off and/or
disengaged.
