GENERAL INFORMATION
Condensation in the Exterior FrontLamps and Rear Lamps
Exterior front lamps and rear lamps havevents to accommodate normal changesin air pressure.
Condensation can be a natural by-productof this design. When moist air enters thelamp assembly through the vents, there isa possibility that condensation can occurwhen the temperature is cold. Whennormal condensation occurs, a fine mistcan form on the interior of the lens. Thefine mist eventually clears and exitsthrough the vents during normal operation.
Clearing time may take as long as 48 hoursunder dry weather conditions.
The headlamps could contain an internalfan to assist with cooling and clearingcondensation. The fan could start orcontinue to operate for a short period oftime after your vehicle is off.
Examples of acceptable condensation are:
•The presence of a fine mist (no streaks,drip marks or large droplets).
•A fine mist covers less than 50% of thelens.
Examples of unacceptable condensationare:
•A water puddle inside the lamp.
•Streaks, drip marks or large dropletspresent on the interior of the lens.
If you see any unacceptable condensation,have your vehicle checked by an authorizeddealer.
LIGHTING CONTROL
Lighting Control Selections
Turn the dial to make a selection.
Note:The indicator illuminates next to theactive selection.
Lamps off.
Parking lamps, instrument panellamps, license plate lamps andrear lamps.
Autolamps.
Headlamps on.
Note:The lighting control defaults toautolamps every time you switch yourvehicle on.

Push the lever away from you toswitch the high beam on.
Push the lever forward again or pull thelever toward you to switch the high beamsoff.
Flashing High Beam Headlamps
Pull the lever toward you and release it toflash the high beam headlamps.
AUTOLAMPS
WARNING: The system does notrelieve you of your responsibility to drivewith due care and attention. You mayneed to override the system if it does notturn the headlamps on in low visibilityconditions, for example daytime fog.
Autolamps turn the headlamps on in lowlight situations or when the wipers operate.
Switch the lighting control to theautolamps position.
Note:The lighting control defaults toautolamps each time you switch yourvehicle on.
The headlamps remain on for a period oftime after you switch the ignition off. Usethe touchscreen to adjust the period oftime that the headlamps remain on.
Note: If you switch the autolamps on, youcannot switch the high beams on until thesystem turns the low beams on.
Windshield Wiper ActivatedHeadlamps
When you switch the autolamps on, theheadlamps turn on within 10 seconds ofswitching the wipers on. They turn offapproximately 60 seconds after you switchthe windshield wipers off.
The headlamps do not turn on with thewipers:
•During a single wipe.
•When using the windshield washers.
•If the wipers are in intermittent mode.
Note:If you switch the autolamps and theautowipers on, the headlamps turn on whenthe windshield wipers continuously operate.
INSTRUMENT LIGHTING
DIMMER
The instrument lighting dimmer buttonsare on the lighting control.
Repeatedly press one of thebuttons to adjust the brightness.
HEADLAMP EXIT DELAY
After you switch the ignition off, you canswitch the headlamps on by pulling thedirection indicator lever toward you. Youwill hear a short tone. The headlamps willswitch off automatically after threeminutes with any door open or 30 secondsafter the last door has been closed. Youcan cancel this feature by pulling thedirection indicator lever toward you againor switching the ignition on.

DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS -
VEHICLES WITH:
CONFIGURABLE DAYTIME
RUNNING LAMPS
WARNING: The daytime runninglamps system does not activate the rearlamps and may not provide adequatelighting during low visibility drivingconditions. Make sure you switch theheadlamps on, as appropriate, during alllow visibility conditions. Failure to do somay result in a crash.
Switch the daytime running lamps on oroff using the touchscreen:
1.Select Settings. See Settings (page393).
2.Select Vehicle.
3.Select Lighting.
The daytime running lamps turn on when:
1.The lamps are on in the informationdisplay.
2.You switch the ignition on.
3.The transmission is not in park (P) forvehicles with automatic transmissionsor you release the parking brake forvehicles with manual transmissions.
4.The lighting control is in the autolampsposition.
5.The headlamps are off.
The other lighting control switch positionsdo not turn on the daytime running lamps.
If the daytime running lamps are off in theinformation display, the lamps stay off inall switch positions.
DAYTIME RUNNING LAMPS -
VEHICLES WITH: DAYTIME
RUNNING LAMPS (DRL)
WARNING: The daytime runninglamps system does not activate the rearlamps and may not provide adequatelighting during low visibility drivingconditions. Make sure you switch theheadlamps on, as appropriate, during alllow visibility conditions. Failure to do somay result in a crash.
The system turns the lamps on in daylightconditions.
To switch the system on, switch thelighting control to any position exceptheadlamps.
FRONT FOG LAMPS
Using the Front Fog Lamps
To switch the lamps on or off:
1.Set the lighting control to the parkinglamps, headlamps or autolampsposition.
Note:When the lighting control is in theautolamps position, you cannot switch thefog lamps on unless the low beamheadlamps are on.
2.
Press the button on thelighting control to switch the front foglamps on or off.
Note:Only switch the front fog lamps onduring reduced visibility.
Note:The brightness of the daytime runninglamps may decrease when the front foglamps are on.

Note:The lights on the front fog lamps turnoff when you switch the high beams on.
Front Fog Lamp Indicator
It illuminates when you switchthe front fog lamps on.
CORNERING LAMPS (IF EQUIPPED)
The cornering lamps illuminate the insideof a corner when you are turning thesteering wheel or when you switch the turnsignal lamps on. They turn on when thevehicle speed is below 25 mph (40 km/h).
Note:Only the cornering lamp on the sideyour vehicle is turning illuminates.
Note:Cornering lamps do not operate ifyou switch the front fog lamps on.

Set the lever to the middle position toswitch the direction indicators off.

INTERIOR LAMPS
Switching All of the Interior LampsOn
Fully press the button on theoverhead console towards theicon.
Switching All of the Interior LampsOff
Fully press the button on theoverhead console towards theicon.
Interior Lamp Function
Switching the Interior Lamp FunctionOn
The switch is on the overhead console.
Set the switch to the middle position.
When you switch the interior lamp functionon, the interior lamps turn on if:
•You open a door.
•You press the unlock button on theremote control.
•You switch the ignition off.
Switching the Front Interior LampsOn and Off
Press the edge of the lamp lens.
Switching the Rear Interior LampsOn and Off
Press the edge of the lamp lens.
Note:If the rear lamps are switched onthrough the overhead console, you cannotswitch them off with the rear lamp switch.
AMBIENT LIGHTING (IF EQUIPPED)
Use the touchscreen to select thefollowing:
Select the settings option on thefeature bar.
Select Vehicle.
Select Ambient Light.

Switching Ambient Lighting On
Drag the slider above zero brightness.

REAR FLOODLAMPS
1.Open the liftgate or liftgate window.
2.Press the button on the left-hand sideof the cargo area to switch the rearfloodlamps on and off.
Note:The rear floodlamps turn offapproximately 45 minutes after you switchthem on.
Note:After the floodlamps time out twice,you need to start your vehicle before youcan switch them on again.
Note:The rear floodlamps turn off whenyou close the liftgate or liftgate window.
The rear floodlamps can be rotated todirect light closer or further away from therear of the vehicle.

WHAT IS AUTOMATIC HIGH
BEAM CONTROL
The system turns on high beams if it is darkenough and no other traffic is present. If itdetects an approaching vehicle’sheadlamps or tail lamps, or street lightingahead, the system turns the high beamsoff. Low beams remain on.
A camera sensor, centrally mountedbehind the windshield of your vehicle,continuously monitors conditions to turnthe high beams on and off.
SWITCHING AUTOMATIC HIGH
BEAM CONTROL ON AND OFF
WARNING: Do not use the systemin poor visibility, for example fog, heavyrain, spray or snow.
Use the touchscreen to select thefollowing:
1.Select Settings.
2.Select Vehicle.
3.Select Lighting.
Activating the Automatic HighBeam Control
Switch the lighting control to theautolamps position. SeeAutolamps (page 86).
Note:The lighting control defaults toautolamps each time you switch yourvehicle on.
When active, the high beams turn on if allthe following conditions occur:
•The ambient light level is low enough.
•There is no traffic in front of yourvehicle.
•The vehicle speed is greater thanapproximately 25 mph (40 km/h).
When active, the high beams turn off if atleast one of the following conditions occur:
•The ambient light level is high enoughthat you do not require high beams.
•The system detects an approachingvehicle's headlamps or tail lamps.
•The system detects severe rain, snowor fog.
•A blocked vehicle camera.
•The vehicle speed falls belowapproximately 19 mph (30 km/h).
Note:The deactivation speed is lower oncurves.
Note:Certain curvy road situations maydelay high beam reactivation.
Note:If you have a blocked sensor, thesystem may not operate properly. Keep thewindshield free from obstruction or damage.
Note:The system may not operate properlyin cold or inclement conditions. You canswitch on the high beams by overriding thesystem.
Note:If the system detects a blockage, forexample bird droppings, bug splatter, snowor ice, the system goes into low beam modeuntil you clear the blockage. If you have ablocked camera, a message may appear inthe information display.
Note:Using much larger tires or equippingvehicle accessories such as snowplows canmodify your vehicle's ride height anddegrade automatic high beam controlperformance.

POWER WINDOWS
WARNING: Do not leave childrenunattended in your vehicle and do notlet them play with the power windows.Failure to follow this instruction couldresult in personal injury.
WARNING: When closing thepower windows, verify they are free ofobstruction and make sure that childrenand pets are not in the proximity of thewindow openings.
Press the control to open thewindow. Lift the control to closethe window.
To reduce wind noise or pulsing noise whenjust one window is open, slightly open theopposite window.
One-Touch Down (If Equipped)
Press the switch fully and release it. Pressagain or lift it to stop the window.
One-Touch Up (If Equipped)
Lift the switch fully and release it. Press orlift it again to stop the window.
Resetting One-Touch Up
Start the engine.
1.Lift and hold the window switch untilyou fully close the door window.Continue to hold the switch for a fewseconds after you close the window.
2.Release the window switch.
3.Press and hold the window switch untilyou fully open the door window.
4.Release the window switch.
5.Lift and hold the window switch untilyou fully close the window.
6.Test for correct window operation bycarrying out the one-touch down andone-touch up features.
Rear Window Lock
Press the control to lock orunlock the rear window controls.It illuminates when you lock therear window controls.
Bounce-Back (If Equipped)
The window stops and reverses if it detectsan obstruction.
Overriding the Bounce-Back Feature
WARNING: If you overridebounce-back, the window does notreverse if it detects an obstacle. Takecare when closing the windows to avoidpersonal injury or damage to yourvehicle.
Pull up the window switch and hold withina few seconds of the window reaching thebounce-back position. The window travelsup with no bounce-back protection. Thewindow stops if you release the switchbefore the window fully closes.
Resetting Bounce-Back
WARNING: Bounce-back is off untilyou reset the memory. Take care whenclosing the windows to avoid personalinjury or damage to your vehicle.
If you have disconnected the battery, youmust reset the bounce-back memoryseparately for each window.
1.Lift and hold the switch until thewindow is fully closed.
2.Release the switch.

Press the arrows to adjust the mirror.
Fold-Away Exterior Mirrors
Push the mirror toward the door windowglass. Make sure that you fully engage themirror in its support when returning it to itsoriginal position.
Blind Spot Monitor
See Blind Spot Information System(page 229).
INTERIOR MIRROR
WARNING: Do not adjust themirrors when your vehicle is moving. Thiscould result in the loss of control of yourvehicle, serious personal injury or death.
Note:Do not clean the mirror housing orglass with harsh abrasives, fuel or otherpetroleum-based cleaning products.
You can adjust the interior mirror to yourpreference. Some mirrors also have asecond pivot point. This lets you move themirror head up or down and from side toside.
Manual Dimming Mirror
Pull the tab below the mirror toward youto reduce the effect of bright light frombehind.
Automatic Dimming Mirror (If Equipped)
Note:Do not block the sensors on the frontand back of the mirror. A rear centerpassenger or raised rear center headrestraint may also block light from reachingthe sensor.
The mirror dims to reduce the effect ofbright light from behind. It returns tonormal when the bright light from behindis no longer present or if you shift intoreverse (R).
SUN VISORS
Rotate the sun visor toward the sidewindow and extend it rearward for extrashade.

The arrow adjacent to the fuel pumpsymbol indicates on which side of yourvehicle the fuel filler door is located.
Note:The fuel gauge can vary slightly whenyour vehicle is moving or on a slope.
Low Fuel Reminder
A low fuel level reminder displays andsounds when the distance to emptyreaches 75 mi (120 km) to empty forMyKey, and at 50 mi (80 km),25 mi(40 km),10 mi (20 km) and 0 mi (0 km)for all vehicle keys.
Note:The low fuel reminder can appear atdifferent fuel gauge positions depending onfuel economy conditions. This variation isnormal.
