Speedometer
*
[LG12700( ALL)01/95]
The speedometer tells you how many miles
(kilometers) per hour your vehicle is moving.
*
[LG12750(BEF )04/95]
Your vehicle contains a speedometer which
receives its input from the Anti-Lock brake
sensor. The speedometer is also used to provide
a speed signal for correct operation of the
vehicle's Powertrain Control Module (PCM),
electronic transmission, and speed control (if so
equipped). Because of this, it is very
IMPORTANT to change the speedometer's
internal conversion constant if the size of the
tires on the vehicle is changed. Changing the
conversion constant to the proper value when
the tires are changed will also ensure that the
speedometer retains the original factory-set
accuracy. NOTE: The conversion constant can
only be changedsix timesonce the vehicle
leaves the factory. Your Ford dealership service
personnel can change the conversion constant.

Operating Tips
*
[IP01880( E )02/95]
The following tips help you get the most
satisfaction from your air conditioner and heater
system:
[IP01885( E )04/95]
q
In humid weather, selectVDEFROST. This
will help to prevent windshield fogging. After
a few minutes of operation, you may select
another air flow position.
*
[IP01890( E )02/95]
q
To prevent humidity buildup inside your
vehicle, always drive with the air conditioner
and heater system turned on.
[IP01895( E )05/94]
q
Do not put objects under the front seats
unless your vehicle is equipped with an
underseat storage tray. Improperly stored
objects will interfere with the flow of air
under the seats to the back seat area.
[IP01899( E )05/95]
q
Remove any snow, ice, or leaves from the air
intake area of your Air Conditioner and
Heater System which could block the air
intake. The intake area is located at the
bottom of the windshield.
