WHAT IS THE KEYLESS ENTRY
KEYPAD
The keyless entry keypad allows you tolock and unlock your vehicle using thekeypad on the window trim.

What Is the Master Access Code
The master access code is a factory-setfive-digit entry code. You can operate thekeypad with the master access code atany time. The master access code is on theowner’s wallet card in the glove box andis available from an authorized dealer.

PERSONAL ACCESS CODES
Programming a Personal EntryCode
1.Enter the five-digit master code.
2.Press 1·2 on the keypad within fiveseconds.
3.Enter your personal five-digit code.You must do this within five secondsof completing Step 2.
4.Press 1·2 on the keypad to savepersonal code 1.
The doors lock then unlock to confirm thatprogramming was successful.
To program additional personal entrycodes, repeat Steps 1 through 3, then forStep 4:
•Press 3·4 to save personal code 2.
•Press 5·6 to save personal code 3.
•Press 7·8 to save personal code 4.
•Press 9·0 to save personal code 5.
If your vehicle comes with SYNC, you canalso program the system with a personalentry code.

ADJUSTING THE SENSITIVITY OFTHE RAIN SENSOR

Use the rotary control to set the rain sensorsensitivity.
When you select high sensitivity, the wipersoperate when the sensor detects a smallamount of water on the windshield.

WASHERS
WASHER PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: If you operate yourvehicle in temperatures below 41°F(5°C), use washer fluid with antifreezeprotection. Failure to use washer fluidwith antifreeze protection in coldweather could result in impairedwindshield vision and increase the riskof injury or accident.
Do not operate the washers when thewasher reservoir is empty. This could causethe washer pump to overheat.
Keep the outside of the windshield clean.The rain sensor is very sensitive and thewipers may operate if dirt, mist or insectshit the windshield.
USING THE WINDSHIELD WASHER
Pull the lever toward you tooperate the windshield washer.
Note:A courtesy wipe occurs a short timeafter the wipers stop to clear any remainingwasher fluid when switched on. See Usingthe Windshield Washer (page 109).

SWITCHING ALL OF THE
INTERIOR LAMPS ON AND OFF
The lamps turn on under the followingconditions:
•You open any door.
•You press a button on the remotecontrol.
•You press the all lamps on button onthe overhead console.
Press to switch all interior lampson or off.
SWITCHING THE FRONT
INTERIOR LAMPS ON AND OFF
The front interior lamp switches are on theoverhead console.
Note:The position of each button on theoverhead console depends on your vehicle.
Individual Map Lamps
Press to switch the left-handindividual dome lamp on and off.
Press to switch the right-handindividual dome lamp on and off.
SWITCHING THE REAR
INTERIOR LAMPS ON AND OFF
The rear interior lamps may be above therear seat or above the rear windows.
Press to switch the lamps on oroff.
Note:If you switch the rear lamps onthrough the overhead console, you cannotswitch them off with the rear lamp switch.
INTERIOR LAMP FUNCTION
WHAT IS THE INTERIOR LAMPFUNCTION
The interior lamp function switches thecourtesy and door lamps on or off.

OPENING AND CLOSING THE
WINDOWS
WARNING: Do not leave childrenunattended in your vehicle and do notlet them play with the power windows.Failure to follow this instruction couldresult in personal injury.
WARNING: When closing thepower windows, verify they are free ofobstruction and make sure that childrenand pets are not in the proximity of thewindow openings.
Press the window control switchto open the window. Lift thewindow control switch to closethe window.
Note:The power windows operate with theignition on, and for several minutes after youswitch the ignition off or until you open afront door.
To reduce wind noise or pulsing noise whenone window is open, slightly open theopposite window.
One-Touch Open
Fully press the window control switch andrelease it. Press again or lift it to stop thewindow.
One-Touch Close
Fully lift the window control switch andrelease it. Press again or lift it to stop thewindow.
Resetting One-Touch Close
Carry out all steps within 30 seconds ofstarting the sequence.
1.Close the window.
2.Press and hold the window controlswitch until the window is fully open.Keep the window control switchpressed for a few seconds.
3.Lift and hold the window control switchuntil the window is fully closed. Keepthe window control switch held for afew seconds.
4.Press and hold the window controlswitch until the window is fully open.Keep the window control switchpressed for a few seconds.
5.Lift and hold the window control switchuntil the window is fully closed. Keepthe window control switch held for afew seconds.
Note:Repeat the procedure if the windowdoes not close when you use one-touch.
GLOBAL OPENING AND
CLOSING
WHAT IS GLOBAL OPENING ANDCLOSING
You can use the remote control to openthe windows with the ignition off.
USING GLOBAL OPENING
1.Press and release the unlock button onthe remote control.
2.Press and hold the unlock button onthe remote control.
3.Release the button when the windowsstart to open.
Press the lock or the unlock button on theremote control to stop global opening.
Note:You can use global opening for ashort period of time when you unlock yourvehicle using the remote control.

WINDOW BOUNCE-BACK
WHAT IS WINDOW BOUNCE-BACK
The window stops and reverses if it detectsan obstruction when closing.
OVERRIDING WINDOW BOUNCE-BACK
WARNING: If you overridebounce-back, the window does notreverse if it detects an obstacle. Takecare when closing the windows to avoidpersonal injury or damage to yourvehicle.
1.Close the window until it reaches thepoint of resistance and let it reverse.
2.Lift and hold the window control switchwithin two seconds to overridebounce-back and close the window.Bounce-back is now disabled and youcan close the window manually.
Note:The window goes past the point ofresistance and you can fully close it.
Note:If the window does not close, haveyour vehicle checked as soon as possible.
LOCKING THE REAR WINDOW
CONTROLS
When the rear window lock/child safetylock switch is engaged, the windowswitches mounted on the rear door panelsare deactivated.

The control is on the driver door. It enablesboth the rear window locks and the childsafety locks.
Press the control to switch the rear windowlocks and child safety locks on. Press thecontrol again to switch them off. A light onthe control illuminates when you switchthem on.
The rear window lock and child locksettings remain active when you switch offyour vehicle.

To adjust the mirrors, switch your vehicleon, with the push button start in accessorymode or your vehicle running.
1.Select the mirror you want to adjust.The control light turns on.
2.Use the adjustment control to adjustthe position of the mirror.
3.Press the mirror control again. Thecontrol light turns off.
FOLDING THE EXTERIOR
MIRRORS - VEHICLES WITH:
POWER FOLDING MIRRORS
Power-Folding Mirrors (If Equipped)
To fold both mirrors, switch your vehicleon, with the push button start in accessorymode or your vehicle running.
For tight parking conditions,press the control switch to foldthe mirrors.
Press the control switch again to unfoldthe mirrors.
Note:Do not stop the mirrors midwaythrough their movement. Wait until themirrors stop moving and press the controlagain.
Note:The left-hand and right-hand mirrorsmove at different rates. For example, onemirror may stop when the other onecontinues to move. This is normal. Movingthe mirrors 10 or more times within oneminute, or repeated folding and unfoldingof the mirrors when holding the controldown during full travel, may disable thesystem to protect the motors fromoverheating. Wait approximately threeminutes with your vehicle running, and upto 10 minutes with your vehicle off, for thesystem to reset and operate as normal.
Loose Mirror
If the power-folding mirrors are manuallyfolded, they may not properly work evenafter you re-position them. You need toreset them if:
•The mirrors vibrate when you drive.
•The mirrors feel loose.
•The mirrors do not stay in the folded orunfolded position.
•One of the mirrors is not in its normaldriving position.

To reset the power-fold feature, use thepower-folding mirror control to fold andunfold the mirrors. A loud noise could occurwhen you reset the power-folding mirrors,this sound is normal. Repeat this processas needed each time the mirrors aremanually folded.
FOLDING THE EXTERIOR
MIRRORS - VEHICLES WITH:
MANUAL FOLDING MIRRORS
Push the mirror toward the door windowglass. Make sure that you fully engage themirror in its support when returning it to itsoriginal position.
Heated Exterior Mirrors
See Adjusting the Exterior Mirrors (page123).
Memory Mirrors
You can save and recall the mirrorpositions through the memory function.See Saving a Preset Position (page 154).
Directional Indicator Mirrors
When your vehicle is running, theforward-facing portion of the appropriatemirror housing blinks when you switch onthe turn signal.
Puddle Lamps
The puddle lamps turn on when youapproach your vehicle with a remotecontrol or phone. If your vehicle hasauto-folding mirrors, the puddle lamps areonly on if the mirrors are unfolded and turnoff when the mirrors fold.

Note:To prevent window fogging, youcannot select recirculated air whenmaximum defrost is on.
Note:The heated rear window also turnson when you select maximum defrost.
SWITCHING MAXIMUM
COOLING ON AND OFF
Press the button to access theclimate controls.
Press the button.
Note:When you switch maximum coolingoff, air conditioning remains on.
Note:In certain conditions, for example,cold weather, maximum cooling may notactivate or could run slow when switchedon. This helps reduce power consumptionfrom the battery.
SWITCHING THE ELECTRIC
HEATER ON AND OFF
When E-Heat is on, an electric heaterwarms the cabin and keeps the windowsfrom fogging. Turning E-Heat off savesbattery power, which extends your drivingrange. The electric heater is the only sourceof heat to warm the cabin.
Press the button to access theclimate controls.
Press the button to switch theelectric heater on or off.
Note:The default setting is on.
Note:Disabling the system helps maximizeyour driving range.
Note:The system does not work in someclimate control modes.
Note:This button does not switch off theclimate control system.
Note:In certain conditions, for examplewarm weather, the system could notactivate or could run with reducedperformance when switched on.
SWITCHING THE HEATED
WIPER PARK ON AND OFF (IF
EQUIPPED)
When you switch the heated rearwindow on, the heated wiperpark also turns on.
SWITCHING THE HEATED
REAR WINDOW ON AND OFF
Press the button to clear the rearwindow of thin ice and fog. Theheated rear window turns offafter a short period of time.
Note:Do not use harsh chemicals, razorblades or other sharp objects to clean orremove decals from the inside of the heatedrear window as this could cause damage tothe heated rear window grid lines notcovered by the vehicle Warranty.
