Note: In vehicles without global openingand closing, you cannot operate the rearwindows from driver side when you pressthe safety switch. In certain vehicles, youcannot operate front passenger windowsas well.
Press the control to lock or unlock the rearwindow controls.
Resetting the Memory of theElectric Windows - Vehicle withOne Touch Up/Down on DriverSide only
Note:The bounce back feature remainsturned off until you reset the memory.
In the event of a flat battery or after thebattery is disconnected from the vehicle,you must reset the memory for the driverwindow.
1.Open the window and then try to closeit using the one-touch feature.
2.Lift and hold the switch to the secondaction point until you fully close thewindow.
3.Lift and hold the switch for more thantwo seconds and release.
4.Open the window using the first actionpoint and try to close it automaticallyusing the second action point.
5.If the window does not open or closeautomatically when you press theswitch or lift it to the second actionpoint, repeat the procedure.
Safety Mode
Note:The anti-trap function is not activeduring this procedure.
If the system detects a malfunction, itenters a safety mode. The windows movea little at a time and then stop again. Closethe windows by pressing the switch againwhen the windows stop moving.
Contact an authorized dealer.
Bounce-Back
The window automatically stops andreverses some distance if it detects anobstacle when closing.
Overriding the Bounce-Back Feature
WARNING: If you overridebounce-back, the window does notreverse if it detects an obstacle. Takecare when closing the windows to avoidpersonal injury or damage to yourvehicle.
Proceed as follows to override thisprotection feature when there is aresistance, for example in winter:
1.Close the window twice until it reachesthe point of resistance and let itreverse.
2.Close the window a third time to thepoint of resistance. The bounce-backfeature is now disabled and you canclose the window manually. Thewindow will go past the point ofresistance and you can close it fully.
See an authorized dealer as soon aspossible if the window does not close afterthe third attempt.
Resetting the Bounce-Back Feature
Note:The bounce-back feature remainsturned off until you reset the memory.

If you disconnect the battery, you mustreset the bounce-back memory separatelyfor each window.
1.Lift and hold the switch until you fullyclose the window.
2.Release the switch.
3.Lift the switch again for one second.
4.Press and hold the switch until you fullyclose the window.
5.Release the switch.
6.Lift and hold the switch until you fullyclose the window.
7.Open the window and then try to closeit automatically.
8.Reset and repeat the procedure if thewindow does not close automatically.
EXTERIOR MIRRORS
Power Exterior Mirrors (If Equipped)
WARNING: Do not adjust themirrors when your vehicle is moving. Thiscould result in the loss of control of yourvehicle, serious personal injury or death.

Fold Away Exterior Mirrors
Push the mirror toward the door windowglass.
Make sure that you fully engage the mirrorin its support when returning it to itsoriginal position.

Power-Folding Mirrors (If Equipped)
The power folding mirrors operate with theignition on.
Note:The mirrors no longer operate if youswitch the ignition off.
Press the button to fold the mirrors inward.
Release the button to stop and reverse thedirection of movement, or to fold themirrors outward.
Loose Mirror
If you manually fold your power-foldingmirrors, they may not work properly evenafter you re-position them. You need toreset them if:
•The mirrors vibrate when you drive.
•The mirrors feel loose.
•The mirrors do not stay in the folded orunfolded position.
•One of the mirrors is not in its normaldriving position.
To reset the power-fold feature:
1.Push the mirrors fully forward.
2.Press the mirror folding switch andguide the mirror to detent point, youwill hear a click at this point.
3.Let the mirror fold toward your vehicleon its own.
4.Verify by pressing the mirror foldingswitch to fold mirrors inward and backout 2 or 3 times.
Note:You may hear a loud noise as youreset the power-folding mirrors. This soundis normal. Repeat this process as neededeach time you manually fold the mirrors.
Heated Exterior Mirrors (If Equipped)
The heated exterior mirrors will removeice, mist and fog. See Heated RearWindow (page 122).
Signal Indicator Mirrors (If Equipped)
The outer portion of the appropriate mirrorhousing blinks when you switch on thedirection indicator.
Puddle Lamps (If Equipped)
The lamps on the bottom part of the mirrorhousing light when you use yourtransmitter to unlock the doors or whenyou open a door.
Blind Spot Information System (If
Equipped)
See Blind Spot Information System(page 206).

Manual Dimming Mirror
Pull the tab below the mirror toward youto reduce the effect of bright light frombehind.
Automatic Dimming Mirror (If Equipped)
The mirror dims to reduce the effect ofbright light from behind. It returns tonormal when the bright light from behindis no longer present or if you shift intoreverse (R).
Do not block the sensors on the front andback of the mirror.
Note:A rear center passenger or raised rearcenter head restraint could prevent lightfrom reaching the sensor.
SUN VISORS
Rotate the sun visor toward the sidewindow and extend it rearward for extrashade.
Illuminated Vanity Mirror (If Equipped)
Lift the cover to switch the lamp on.

Switching Maximum AirConditioning On and Off
Turn the temperature controlcounterclockwise to the lowestsetting.
Note: Recirculated air flows through theinstrument panel air vents, air conditioningturns on and the blower motor adjusts tothe highest speed.
Switching Maximum Defrost Onand Off
Turn the temperature controlclockwise to the highest setting.
Note: Air flows through the windshield airvents, and the blower motor adjusts to thehighest speed.
You can also use this setting to defog andclear the windshield of a thin covering ofice. The heated rear window also turns onwhen you select maximum defrost.
Note:To prevent window fogging, youcannot select recirculated air whenmaximum defrost is on.
Switching Recirculated Air On andOff
Press and release the button toswitch between outside air andrecirculated air.
The air currently in the passengercompartment recirculates. This mayreduce the time needed to cool the interior,when used with A/C, and reduce unwantedodors from entering your vehicle.
Note:Recirculated air may turn off, orprevent you from switching on, in all air flowmodes except MAX A/C to reduce the riskof fogging. Recirculation may also turn onand off in various air distribution controlcombinations during hot weather to improvecooling efficiency.
AUTOMATIC CLIMATE
CONTROL
Note:You can switch temperature unitsbetween Fahrenheit and Celsius.
Note:You can control some of the climatefeatures through the touchscreen.
Setting the Temperature
Press and release + or - on the left-handside of the climate control to set theleft-hand temperature.
Note:This control also adjusts theright-hand side temperature when youswitch off dual zone mode.
Press and release + or - on the right-handside of the climate control to set theright-hand temperature.
Setting the Blower Motor Speed
Press and release + or - to adjustthe volume of air circulated inthe vehicle.
Switching Auto Mode On and Off
Press and release the button toswitch on automatic operation,then set the temperature.
The system adjusts the blower motorspeed, air distribution, air conditioningoperation, and outside or recirculated airto reach and maintain the temperature youhave set.

Switching the Air Conditioning Onand Off
Press and release the button.
Use air conditioning with recirculated airto improve cooling performance andefficiency.
Note:In certain conditions such asmaximum defrost, the air conditioningcompressor may continue to operate eventhough you switch off the air conditioning.
Switching the Climate Control Onand Off
Press and release the button.
Switching Defrost On and Off
Press and release the button todistribute air through thewindshield air vents andde-mister.
You can also use this setting to defog andclear the windshield of a thin covering ofice.
Switching the Heated Seats Onand Off
Press and release the button tocycle through the various heatsettings and off.
See Heated Seats (page 130).
Switching Maximum AirConditioning On and Off
Press and release the button formaximum cooling.
The left-hand and right-hand settings setto LO, recirculated air flows through theinstrument panel air vents, air conditioningturns on and the blower motor adjusts tothe highest speed.
Switching Maximum Defrost Onand Off
Press and release the button formaximum defrosting.
The left-hand and right-hand settings setto HI, outside air flows through thewindshield air vents, and the blower motoradjusts to the highest speed.
You can also use this setting to defog andclear the windshield of a thin covering ofice.

HINTS ON CONTROLLING THE
INTERIOR CLIMATE
General Hints
Note:Prolonged use of recirculated air maycause the windows to fog up.
Note:You may feel a small amount of airfrom the footwell air vents regardless of theair distribution setting.
Note:To reduce humidity build-up insideyour vehicle, do not drive with the systemswitched off or with recirculated air alwaysswitched on.
Note:Do not place objects under the frontseats as this may interfere with the airflowto the rear seats.
Note:Remove any snow, ice or leaves fromthe air intake area at the base of thewindshield.
Note:To improve the time to reach acomfortable temperature in hot weather,drive with the windows open until you feelcold air through the air vents.
Manual Climate Control
Note:To reduce fogging of the windshieldduring humid weather, adjust the airdistribution control to the windshield airvents position.
Automatic Climate Control
Note: Adjusting the settings when yourvehicle interior is extremely hot or cold isnot necessary. The system automaticallyadjusts to heat or cool the interior to yourselected temperature as quickly as possible.For the system to function efficiently, theinstrument panel and side air vents shouldbe fully open.
Note:If you select AUTO during coldtemperatures, the system directs airflow tothe windshield and side window vents. Inaddition, the fan may run at a slower speeduntil the engine warms up.
Note:If you select AUTO during hottemperatures and the inside of the vehicleis hot, the system automatically usesrecirculated air to maximize interior cooling.Fan speed may also reduce until the aircools.
