Information Display Controls(Type 3)
•Press the up or down arrow buttons toscroll through the list.
•Press the right arrow button to enter asub-menu.
•Press the left arrow button to exit amenu.
•Press and hold the left arrow button atany time to return to the main menudisplay (escape button).
•Press the OK button to choose andconfirm settings or messages.
Main menu
From the main menu bar on the left sideof the information display, you can choosefrom the following categories:
•Display Mode
•Trip 1 & 2
•Fuel Economy
•Driver Assist
•Settings
Scroll up or down to highlight one of thecategories, then press the right arrow keyor OK to enter into that category. Press theleft arrow key as needed to exit back to themain menu.

Use the up/down arrow buttons to choosebetween the following display options.

INFORMATION MESSAGES
Note:Depending on your vehicle optionsand instrument cluster type, not allmessages display or are available. Thesystem may abbreviate or shorten certainmessages depending upon which clustertype you have.
Press the OK button to acknowledge andremove some messages from theinformation display.
The system removes other messages aftera short time.
You need to confirm certain messagesbefore you can access the menus.

The USB port allows you to plug in mediaplaying devices, memory sticks and chargedevices.
Note:Not all USB ports in your vehicle havedata transfer capabilities. See AuxiliaryPower Points (page 138).
USING VOICE RECOGNITION -
VEHICLES WITHOUT: SYNC
Voice Pass Through
This system allows you to use the voicerecognition features of your phone.
Press the voice control buttonon the steering wheel.
Note:This only works when connected viaBluetooth. See Connecting a Bluetooth®Device (page 348).
Note:When using voice pass through usethe language set on the device.
MEDIA HUB (IF EQUIPPED)

Your primary responsibility is thesafe operation of your vehicle. Werecommend against the use of anyhand-held device while driving andencourage the use of voice-operatedsystems when possible. Make sure youare aware of all applicable local lawsthat may affect the use of electronicdevices while driving.
The media hub may be on the instrumentpanel or center console.

Possible Cause and ResolutionSymptom
–You might not be saying the name exactly as it appearson your device.
•Say the first and last name of the contact exactlyas it appears on your device. The system appliesphonetic pronunciation rules of the selectedlanguage to the names of contacts in the phone-book on your device. Select the name of thecontact on the touchscreen and use the Hear itoption to get an idea of how the system expectsyou to pronounce it.
The system does not under-stand certain names ofcontacts in the phonebookon my device.
–Device limitation.
•The system uses text-to-speech technology anduses a synthetically generated voice rather thanpre-recorded human voice.
The system voice promptsand the pronunciation ofsome words do not seem tobe very accurate.
USB and Bluetooth® Audio
Possible Cause and ResolutionSymptom
I cannot connect my device.–Device malfunction.
•Disconnect your device. Switch your device off andon to reset it and try again.
–Cable connection issue.
•Correctly connect the cable to your device and thevehicle USB port.
–Incompatible cable.
•Use the cable recommended by the manufacturerof your device.
