ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
INDICATORS
Illuminates when you switchadaptive cruise control on. Thecolor of the indicator changes toindicate the system status.
White indicates the system is on butinactive.
Blue indicates that you set the speed andthe system is active.
SWITCHING FROM ADAPTIVE

WARNING: Normal cruise controlwill not brake when your vehicle isapproaching slower vehicles. Always beaware of which mode you have selectedand apply the brakes when necessary.
1.Press Features on the touchscreen.
2.Press Driver Assistance.
3.Press Cruise Control.
4.Press Normal Cruise Control.
The cruise control indicatorreplaces the adaptive cruisecontrol indicator if you selectnormal cruise control. The gap settingdoes not display, and the system does notrespond to lead vehicles. Automaticbraking remains active to maintain setspeed. The system remembers the lastsetting when you start your vehicle.
LANE CENTERING
HOW DOES LANE CENTERINGWORK
Adaptive cruise control with lane centeringuses the vehicle's front radar sensor andfront windshield camera sensor, togetherwith the steering sensor to operate.
Using these sensors, the system appliescontinuous steering assistance towardsdriving in the middle of the lane you chooseon highway roads.
Note:The gap setting for adaptive cruisecontrol with lane centering, operates in thesame way as normal adaptive cruise control.
LANE CENTERING PRECAUTIONS
WARNING: Do not use the systemwhen towing a trailer or when the vehicleis loaded to near or over maximumpayload. Failure to follow this instructioncould result in the loss of control of yourvehicle, personal injury or death.
WARNING: Do not use the systemif any changes or modifications to thesteering, suspension system or wheelsand tires have been made. Any changesor modifications to the steering,suspension system or wheels and tirescould affect the functionality andperformance of the system. The sensors are inside the brake lamp onboth sides of your vehicle.
Note:Keep the sensors free from snow, iceand large accumulations of dirt.
Note:Do not cover the sensors with bumperstickers, repair compound or other objects.
Note:Bike and cargo racks could causefalse alerts due to obstruction of the sensor.We recommend switching the feature offwhen using a bike or cargo rack.
Note:Blocked sensors may affect systemaccuracy.
If the sensors become blocked, a messageappears in the instrument cluster display.See Blind Spot Information System –Information Messages (page 331). Thealert indicators illuminate but the systemdoes not alert you.

WHAT IS BLIND SPOTINFORMATION SYSTEM WITHTRAILER COVERAGE
Blind spot information system detectsvehicles that may have entered the blindspot zone. The detection area is on bothsides your vehicle and trailer, extendingrearward from the exterior mirrors to theend of your trailer.
BLIND SPOT INFORMATIONSYSTEM WITH TRAILERCOVERAGE LIMITATIONS
Trailer coverage supports conventionaltrailers automatically. To function withunconventional trailers such as fifth wheeland gooseneck variants, the vehicle needsto have trailer accessory sensorsconnected.
Make sure the trailer width is less than orequal to 8.5 ft (2.6 m) and the length isless than 33 ft (10.1 m) for conventionaltrailers and less than 50 ft (15.2 m) forunconventional trailers. If you input valueshigher, the system turns off.

Cross Traffic Alert Limitationswith a Trailer Attached
The system remains on when you attacha trailer in vehicles with blind spotinformation system with trailer tow underthe following conditions:
•You connect a trailer.
•The trailer is a bike rack or cargo rackwith a maximum length of 3 ft (1 m).
•You set the trailer length to 3 ft (1 m)in the instrument cluster display.
Note:The system may not correctly operatewhen towing a trailer. For vehicles with anapproved trailer tow module and tow bar,the system turns off when you attach atrailer. For vehicles with an aftermarkettrailer tow module or tow bar, werecommend that you switch the system offwhen you attach a trailer.

PRE-COLLISION ASSIST
LIMITATIONS
Pre-collision assist depends on thedetection ability of its camera and sensors.Any obstructions or damage to these areascan limit detection or prevent the systemfrom functioning. See Locating thePre-Collision Assist Sensors (page 341).
The system is active at 3 mph (5 km/h)and above.
Note:The pre-collision assist systemautomatically disables when you manuallydisable AdvanceTrac™, 4X4 low, and RockCrawl (if available).
Note:Brake support and automaticemergency braking are active up to themaximum speed of the vehicle.
Pedestrian Detection Limitations
Pedestrian detection is active at speedsup to 50 mph (80 km/h).
Pedestrian detection operates optimallywhen detected hazards are clearlyidentifiable. System performance mayreduce in situations where pedestrians arerunning, partly obscured, have a complexbackground, or cannot be distinguishedfrom a group.
Cyclist Detection Limitations
Cyclist detection is active at speeds up to50 mph (80 km/h).
Cyclist detection functions optimally whendetected hazards are clearly identifiable.System performance may reduce insituations where cyclists are fast-moving,partly obscured, have a complexbackground, or cannot be distinguishedfrom a group.

There are certain faults in your vehiclewiring and trailer wiring or brake system.Trailer Wiring Fault
The vehicle's battery voltage is low or thereis a fault with your trailer's battery. Yourtrailer's battery voltage is below 8 volts orit is connected in reverse polarity.

Trailer hitching assistance helps the driveralign the vehicle hitch ball to a trailercoupler.
HOW DOES TRAILER HITCHING
ASSISTANCE WORK
Trailer hitching assistance uses thefollowing to detect your trailer:
•Rear view camera.
•Radar.
•Parking aid sensors.
•External rear lighting.
This feature also controls the following toalign the hitch ball with the trailer coupler:
•Steering.
•Braking and acceleration.
Note:Blocked sensors could affect systemperformance. Do not cover the sensors withbumper stickers, tape, repair compound orother objects.

ASSISTANCE
Trailer backup assistance utilizes thecontrol knob on the instrument panel tohelp you steer a trailer. Turn the controlknob in the direction you want the trailerto go and the system steers the vehicle.

You must configure a trailer in the systemto use trailer backup assistance. This is aone-time setup process and the trailerinformation is saved in the system for thenext time you use that trailer.
The following illustration shows examplesof conventional trailers.

Note:The default value is Low and is therecommended setting for most trailers.Select a different setting if your trailer'sbrakes require more initial voltage, or youprefer more aggressive trailer braking.
6.Select the trailer type.
Note:The system could prompt you tosetup Trailer Blind Spot before continuingthe setup process.
7.Select whether you want to add thefeature.
TRAILER SENSOR INSTALLATION
To use the system with a fifth-wheel orgooseneck trailer, you must install asensor. Refer to the instructions in thesensor kit for proper installation.
Note:Make sure the arrows on the sensorhousing are facing up. Mount the sensor toa vertical part of the trailer that pivots andmoves when you turn your vehicle. Do notmount to a stationary surface or to the truckside of the fifth wheel-trailer hitch.
Note:You need to replace the 7/4 wayconnector in the bumper with therecommended 7/12 pin connector if yourvehicle did not come with the fifth-wheelprep package. See your authorized dealer.
Note:If your vehicle has the fifth-wheelprep package, you have everything you need.If your vehicle does not have the fifth-wheelprep package, see your authorized dealer topurchase the sensor kit and the 7/12 pinconnector.
CALIBRATING THE SYSTEM
Calibrating the system requires drivingforward and turning left or right. Follow theinstructions on the instrument clusterdisplay and touchscreen to complete thecalibration process.
Note:Calibrating the system requires anarea where you can safely drive forward andturn left or right. An open parking lot is anideal place to perform the calibration.
