The Keyless Access System allows locking/unlocking of the doors and liftgate without removing the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter (key fob) from your pocket or purse. The key fob must be within 3 feet of the liftgate or the door being unlocked.
KEYLESS UNLOCKING
With the key fob within range:
Press the button on the driver’s door handle to unlock the driver’s door or all doors and liftgate.
Press the button on a passenger’s door handle to unlock all doors and liftgate.
KEYLESS LOCKING
With the ignition off, the key fob removed from the vehicle, and all doors closed:
Press the button on any door handle to lock all doors and liftgate immediately.
If Passive Locking is turned on in the Settings menu, all doors and liftgate will lock automatically after a short delay.
Note: To change the door lock and unlock settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock, Start.See Keys, Doors and Windows in your Owner’s Manual.
REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER (KEY FOB)
KEYLESS ACCESS SYSTEM
Lock
Press to lock all doors and liftgate.
Unlock
Press to unlock the driver’s door or all doors and liftgate.
Remote WindowsF
Press and hold the button until the windows are fully open. To enable, go to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock, Start > Remote Window Operation.
Remote MirrorsF
To enable the automatic power fold-ing mirrors, go to Settings > Vehicle > Comfort and Convenience > Remote Mirror Folding.
Power LiftgateF
Press twice to open or close the liftgate. Press once to stop the liftgate.
Rear LiftglassF
Press twice to open the rear liftglass.
Vehicle Locator/Panic Alarm
Press and release to locate your vehicle.
Press and hold to activate the alarm. Press again to cancel the alarm.
[ Remote Vehicle Start
Press twice to start the engine from outside the vehicle. After entering the vehicle, press the ENGINE START/STOP button.
• During a remote start, the engine will run for 15 minutes. Press the [ button twice again for an additional 15 minutes.
• To cancel a remote start, press and hold the [ button until the parking lamps turn off.
Note: To change the remote lock, unlock, and remote start settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Remote Lock, Unlock, Start.

The fuel-saving Engine Stop/Start system automatically turns off the engine, referred to as an Auto Stop, when the brake pedal is pressed and the vehicle is at a complete stop, if certain operating conditions are met. In Auto Stop mode, the tachometer will read AUTO STOP. When the brake pedal is released or the accelerator pedal is pressed, the engine will restart. After parking the vehicle and turning off the engine, the tachometer will read OFF.
The engine may remain running or restart when the vehicle is stopped if:
• A minimum vehicle speed was not reached prior to stopping.
• The engine or transmission is not at the required operating temperature.
• The outside temperature is not in the required operating range.
• The shift lever is in any gear other than Drive (D).
• The battery charge is low.
• The climate control system requires the engine to run based on the current settings.
• The Auto Stop has reached the maximum allowed time.
AUTO ENGINE STOP/START DISABLE
Press the $ button on the left side of the instrument panel to turn off the system. The button indicator turns off when the system is disabled.
The Auto Engine Stop/Start system is enabled each time the vehicle is started.

AUTO ENGINE STOP/START OPERATION
KEYLESS (PUSHBUTTON) START
The Remote Keyless Entry transmitter (key fob) must be in the vehicle to turn on the ignition.
STARTING THE ENGINE
With the vehicle in Park or Neutral, press the brake pedal and then press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button to start the engine. The green indicator on the button will illuminate.
Note: If the key fob battery is weak, place the key fob in the center console left cupholder to enable the engine to start. Replace the key fob battery as soon as possible.
STOPPING THE ENGINE/OFF
Shift to Park and press the ENGINE START/STOP button to turn off the engine.
ACCESSORY MODE
With the engine off and the brake pedal not depressed, press the ENGINE START/ STOP button to place the ignition in accessory mode to operate the radio, win-dows and other accessories with the engine off. The amber button indicator will illuminate. Press and hold the ENGINE START/STOP button for several seconds to place the ignition in Service Mode to operate additional systems.

OPEN/CLOSE THE POWER LIFTGATE
Press the Power Liftgate button on the Remote Keyless Entry transmitter (key fob) twice.
Press the Power Liftgate knob (A) on the front overhead console.
Press the touchpad (B) on the liftgate handle to open the liftgate.
Press the button (C) next to the liftgate latch to close the liftgate.
PROGRAMMING THE LIFTGATE HEIGHT
1. Turn the Power Liftgate knob (A) to the 3/4 mode position.
2. Open the liftgate.
3. Adjust the liftgate manually to the desired height.
4. To save the setting, press and hold the
button next to the liftgate latch (C) until the turn signals flash and a beep sounds.
HANDS-FREE OPERATIONF
To open or close the liftgate hands-free, the key fob must be within 3 feet of the lift-gate. Kick your foot straight up under the passenger’s side of the rear bumper, right of center, to activate the liftgate. When the key fob is within 6 feet of the rear bumper, the GMC logo (D) is projected on the ground near the passenger’s side of the rear bumper, indicating the kicking motion location. The logo is shown for 1 minute, depending on operating conditions.
Note: To change the hands-free operation settings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Comfort and Convenience > Hands Free Liftgate on the infotainment screen.
The Power Running Boards lower automatically when a door is opened and retract after the doors are closed.
To turn the boards on or off, go to Settings > Vehicle > Running Boards > Automatic Running Boards.
To deploy the boards for cleaning or to use the boards with the doors closed, with the vehicle in Park or Neutral, go to Settings > Vehicle > Running Boards > Deploy Running Boards.

INFOTAINMENT SYSTEM
STORING FAVORITES
Radio stations from all bands (AM, FM, or SiriusXM) can be stored in any order. The audio source options are on the left side of the Audio page.
1. Tune in a radio station.
2. Select a desired page of favorite buttons.
3. Touch and hold one of the favorite buttons until a beep is heard.
SIRIUSXM® WITH 360LF
SiriusXM with 360L provides subscribers an enhanced listening experience with unique satellite and streaming channels, on-demand content, personalized recommendations, and an interactive interface. WIRELESS APPLE CARPLAY AND WIRELESS ANDROID AUTO
Apple CarPlay or Android Auto capability is available through a compatible smart-phone using the Apple CarPlay or Android Auto icon on the Home page.
1. Download the Android Auto app to your compatible phone from the Google Play Store. No app is required for Apple CarPlay.
2. To connect wirelessly, pair your smartphone to the in-vehicle Bluetooth system, and turn on wireless projection in your phone’s settings.
Or to connect to a USB data port, use your smartphone’s factory-provided USB cable. Aftermarket USB cables may not work.
3. The Apple CarPlay or Android Auto icon will illuminate when connected. Touch the icon to have your apps displayed.
To automatically launch Apple CarPlay or Android Auto when a Bluetooth-paired phone is connected, select Phone icon > Phones > Information. Turn Apple CarPlay or Android Auto on or off.
To exit Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, press the Home button. To return to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, press and hold the Home button.
APPSF
In-vehicle apps offering entertainment, news, weather, travel information, and more can be downloaded through the Apps icon on the Home page. Downloading and using the apps requires internet connectivity, and may require a data plan, accessed through the vehicle’s 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, if active, or a mobile device hotspot. PERSONAL PROFILES
The Users icon allows for customized settings for up to 4 different user profiles. With your profile, your key can be used to automatically identify you and your settings.
Touch the Users icon to sign in or create a new user profile. Follow the instructions.

DRIVER ASSISTANCE SYSTEMS
FRONT AND REAR PARK ASSIST – During low-speed parking maneuvers, the system provides “distance to closest object” information on the Driver Information Center and the Safety Alert Seat pulses or a beep sounds (if selected). When an object is very close, the Safety Alert Seat pulses or 5 beeps sound (if selected).
REAR CROSS TRAFFIC ALERTF – When in Reverse, the system warns of cross-traf-fic coming in either direction by displaying a red alert on the infotainment screen and pulsing the left or right side of the Safety Alert Seat or sounding beeps (if selected).
To turn Front and Rear Park Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Alert on or off, press the Park Assist button on the left side of the instrument panel. To change the set-tings, go to Settings > Vehicle > Collision/Detection Systems.
HIGH DEFINITION REAR VISION CAMERA
When in Reverse, a view of the area behind the vehicle displays on the infotainment screen. Camera view buttons are at the bottom of the screen.
HIGH DEFINITION SURROUND VISIONF
Rear, front or side high-definition camera views along with a view of the area surrounding the vehicle are displayed on the infotainment screen when the vehicle is in Reverse or Drive below 8 mph. Camera view buttons are at the bottom of the screen.
Surround Vision also can be activated by selecting the CAMERA icon on the Home page of the infotainment screen. Press the Home button to exit the view.

REAR CAMERA MIRRORF
The Rear Camera Mirror provides a wider, less obstructed field of view to assist when driving, changing lanes and checking traffic conditions.
A. On/Off
Pull or push the lever at the bottom of the mirror to turn the video display on or off.
B. Selection Control
Press and release the button to select the brightness, zoom, or tilt feature.
C. Adjustment
Press and release either button to adjust the selected feature setting.
Rotate the Rear Window Wiper control band to the washer position to clean the Rear Camera Mirror lens and rear window.
