Gauges and Multi-Information Display
Gauges
Gauges include the speedometer, tachometer, fuel gauge, and related indicators.
They are displayed when the ignition switch is in ON
(w.
Displays your driving speed in mph or km/h.
Shows the number of engine revolutions per minute.
Displays the amount of fuel left in the fuel tank.
Shows the instant fuel economy as a bar graph in mpg or l/100km.

1Gauges
Press and hold the km/h/mph change button until
you hear a beep. The speedometer reading and the
displayed measurements switch between mph and
km/h. The display change message appears for a few
seconds.
1 Fuel Gauge
NOTICE
You should refuel when the reading approaches .
Running out of fuel can cause the engine to misfire,
damaging the cata lytic converter.
The actual amount of remain ing fuel may differ from
the fuel gauge reading.E

■Real-Time score
The Eco assist scoring system is a point system
you can use to monitor your driving style and
its impact on fuel economy. Points are
represented by leaf icons on the multi-
information displa y. Leaves are:
• Accumulated when your driving style is fuel
efficient.
• Deducted when your style is not fuel
efficient.
■Reset the system
To clear all leaves and lifetime points, complete the following steps within 30
seconds, and do not run the engine.
1. The shift lever must be in

The parking brake must be set.
2. Turn the ignition switch to ON

3. Make sure the NORMAL mode is selected.
4. Depress the brake pedal twice.
u The ambient meter color ch anges from blue to green.
u When the METER COLOR CHANGE setting on the multi-information display is
off, the color stays in blue.
5. Press the ECON mode button.
6. Press the NORMAL mode button.
u The ambient meter color turns off.

■How to customize
Select the CUSTOMIZE SETTINGS screen by pressing the button while the
ignition switch is in ON
(w, the vehicle is at a complete stop, and the shift lever is in
(P (CVT), and the parking brake is set (manual transmission). Press the SEL/RESET
button to select CHG SETTING screen.

Clock
Adjusting the Clock
You can adjust the time in the clock display, using the CLOCK (AM /FM ) button with
the ignition switch in ON
(w.
1. Press and hold the CLOCK button until the clock display begins to blink.
2. Press the
(1 (Hour) button to change the hours.
3. Press the
(2 (Minute) button to change the minutes.
4. Press the CLOCK button to go back to the normal display.
■Adjusting the Time

To set the time to the nearest hour:
Press and hold the CLOCK button until the clock
display begins to blink, then press the
( 3 (Reset)
button.
Depending on the displayed time, the clock sets
forward or backward.
Example:
1:06 will reset to 1:00
1:53 will reset to 2:00
The clock is automatica lly updated through the
navigation system, so the ti me does not need to be
adjusted.

Fully insert the key and turn it.

Pull the lock tab rearward and close the door.
■Lockout prevention system
The doors and the hatch cannot be locked wh en the key is in the ignition switch, and
either door or the hatch is open.
■Locking/Unlocking the Doors Using a Key1 Locking/Unlocking the Doors Using a Key
When you lock the driver's door with a key, all the
doors and hatch lock at the same time. When
unlocking, the driver's door unlocks first. Turn the
key a second time within a few seconds to unlock the
passenger’s door and the hatch.
You can customize the door unlock mode setting.

When you lock the driver's door, all the doors and
hatch lock at the same time.
Make sure you have the key in your hand before
locking the door to prevent it from being locked in
the vehicle.

Auto Door Locking/Unlocking
Your vehicle locks all doors and unlocks the driver’s door automatically when a
certain condition is met.
■Drive lock mode
The auto door lock function automatically locks all the doors and hatch when the
vehicle reaches about 10 mph (15 km/h).
■Park unlock mode
The driver’s door unlocks when the shift lever is moved into
(P with the brake pedal
depressed. The settings can be changed to unlock all doors.
■Ignition switch unlock mode
The driver’s door unlocks when the ignition switch is moved out of ON
(w. The
settings can be changed to unlock all doors.

Security System
Immobilizer System
The immobilizer system prevents a key that has not been pre-registered from
starting the engine. Each key contains electronic transmitters that use electronic
signals to verify the key.
Pay attention to the following when inserting the key into the ignition switch:
• Do not allow objects that emit strong radio waves near the ignition switch.
• Make sure the key is not covered by or touching a metal object.
• Do not bring a key from another vehicle's immobilizer system near the ignition
switch.
Security System Alarm
The security system alarm activates when the doors, hatch, or hood are opened
without the key, or remote transmitter.
■When the security system alarm activates
The horn sounds intermittently, and all of the exterior lights flash.
■To deactivate the security system alarm
Unlock the vehicle using the key or remote tr ansmitter or turn the ignition switch to
ON
(w. The system, along with the horn and flashing lights, is deactivated.
1 Immobilizer System
NOTICE
Leaving the ignition key in the vehicle can result in
theft or accidental move ment of the vehicle.
Always take the ignition key with you whenever you
leave the vehicle unattended.
Do not alter the system or add other devices to it.
Doing so may damage the system and make your
vehicle inoperable.
1 Security System Alarm
The security alarm continues for a maximum of two
minutes until the security system alarm deactivates.
