The instrument panel has many
indicators to give you important
inf ormation about your vehicle.The engine can be severely damaged
if this indicator f lashes or stays on
when the engine is running. For
more information, see page .
If this indicator comes on when the
engine is running, the battery is not
being charged. For more inf ormation,
see page .

If your f ront passenger does not
f asten their seat belt, the indicator
comes on about 6 seconds af ter the
ignition switch is turned to the ON
(II) position.
If either of you do not f asten your
seat belt while driving, the beeper
will sound and the indicator will f lash
again at regular intervals. For more
inf ormation, see page .
This indicator comes on when you
turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position. It reminds you and your
passengers to f asten your seat belts.
A beeper also sounds if you have not
f astened your seat belt.
If you turn the ignition switch to the
ON (II) position bef ore f astening
your seat belt, the beeper sounds
and the indicator f lashes. If you do
notfastenyourseatbeltbeforethe
beeper stops, the indicator stops
f lashing but remains on. 18

Youshouldhavereceivedakey
number tag with your keys. You will
need this key number if you ever
have to get a lost key replaced. Use
only Honda-approved key blanks.These keys contain electronic
circuits that are activated by the
immobilizer system. They will not
work to start the engine if the
circuits are damaged.
Protect the keys f rom direct
sunlight, high temperature, and
high humidity.
Donotdropthekeysorsetheavy
objects on them.
Keep the keys away f rom liquids.
If they get wet, dry them
immediately with a sof t cloth.
The valet key does not contain a
battery. Do not try to take it apart.
The master key fits all the locks on
your vehicle. The valet key works
only in the ignition and the driver’s
door lock. You can keep the glove
boxlockedwhenyouleaveyour
vehicle and the valet key at a parking
f acility.

Turn the ignition switch to the
LOCK (0) position.
Until you hear another click
(af ter about 5 seconds) to
activate

driver’s door. You will hear a click.
Continue to hold the switch: Even if your vehicle’s battery is
removed or goes dead, the system
keeps the auto door lock/unlock
setting which you selected.
Push and hold the brake pedal,
then move the shift lever out of
the Park (P) position.
Or, until you hear two more
clicks (af ter about 10 seconds)

Release the switch, and within 20
seconds, turn the ignition switch
to the ACCESSORY (I) position.

µAvoid dropping or throwing the
transmitter.
Protect the transmitter from
extreme temperatures.
Do not immerse the transmitter in
any liquid.
If you lose a transmitter, the
replacement needs to be
reprogrammed by your dealer. If it takes several pushes on the
button to lock or unlock the doors
and the tailgate, replace the battery
as soon as possible.

the horn will sound, and the exterior
lights will f lash f or about 30 seconds.
To cancel panic mode, press any
other button on the remote
transmitter, or turn the ignition
switch to the ON (II) position. You can also open all power windows
and the moonroof f rom outside the
vehicle with the remote transmitter
(see page ). Locking and unlocking the driver’s
door will also lock and unlock the

To replace the battery:
Remove the screw at the base of
the transmitter with a small
Phillips-head screwdriver.
Separate the transmitter by prying
its middle seam with your
f ingernail. Be caref ul when removing
this screw as the head of the screw
can strip out. Inside the transmitter, separate
the inner cover f rom the keypad
by caref ully prying on the edge
with a coin.
Remove the old battery, and insert
a new battery into the back of the
cover with the side f acing down.
An improperly disposed of battery
can hurt the environment.
Always conf irm local regulations
for battery disposal.
Install the parts in reverse order.

In the LO setting, the heater runs
continuously. It does not cycle with
temperature changes.
Follow these precautions whenever
you use the seat heaters:Donotusetheseatheaterinthe
HI setting f or an extended period,
because it draws large amounts of
current from the battery.
If the engine is lef t idling f or an
extended period, do not use the
seat heaters even on the LO
setting. It can weaken the battery,
causing hard starting.
Push the right side of the switch, HI,
to rapidly heat up the seat. Af ter the
seat reaches a comfortable
temperature, select LO by pushing
the lef t side of the switch. This will
keep the seat warm.
In the HI setting, the heater turns off
when the seat gets warm, and turns
back on after the seat’s temperature
drops.

possible when using seat
heaters.
Persons with a diminished
ability to sense temperature
(e.g., persons with diabetes,
lower-limb nerve damage, or
paralysis) or with sensitive skin
should not use seat heaters.

To select a memorized position, do
this:Make sure the parking brake is set
and the shif t lever is in Park.
Press the desired memory button
(1 or 2) until you hear a beep, then
release the button.
To cancel the storing procedure
after pressing the SET button, press
the SET button again within 5
seconds.
Each memory button stores only one
driving position. Storing a new
position erases the previous setting
stored in that button’s memory. If
you want to add a new position while
retaining the current one, use the
other memory button.
All stored driving positions will be
lost if your vehicle’s battery goes
dead or is disconnected.

If your vehicle’s battery is
disconnected or goes dead, the audio
system disables itself . If this happens,
you will see ‘‘ENTER CODE’’ in the
f requency display next time you turn
on the system. Use the preset
buttons to enter the five-digit code.
ThecodeisontheAnti-theft
Identification Card included in your
owner’s manual kit. When it is
entered correctly, the radio will start
playing.
The Anti-thef t Identif ication Card
also lists your audio serial number. It
is best to store the card in a saf e
place at home. In addition, you
should write the audio system’s
serial number in this owner’s manual.
If you make a mistake entering the
code, do not start over; complete the
f ive-digit sequence, then enter the
correct code. You have ten tries to
enter the correct code. If you are
unsuccessful in ten attempts, youmust then leave the system on for
one hour bef ore trying again.
The system will retain your AM and
FM presets even if power is
disconnected.
We recommend that you register
the security code at Owner Link
(owners. honda.com.) If you lose the
Anti- theft Identification Card before
registering the code at Owner Link,
you must obtain the code from your
dealer or
. To do this, you will need the
audio system’s serial number. If you
do not have the serial number with
you,askyourdealerorgoto for
inf ormation on how to retrieve it. If you lose the Anti-thef t
Identif ication Card, you must obtain
thecodefromyourdealer.Todothis,
you will need the audio system’s
serial number. If you do not have the
serial number with you, ask your
dealer how to retrieve it.
You need to enter a separate code
f or the navigation system to
reactivate. The Anti-theft Card also
lists the navigation system’s security
code and serial number. Follow the
same procedure to retrieve the serial
number and obtain the code, and
read the navigation system manual
f or details.

To use HFL, you need to pair your
Bluetooth-compatible cell phone to
the system.This command group is available f or
paired cell phones.
You cannot pair your phone while
the vehicle is moving.
Your phone must be in discovery
or search mode to pair. Ref er to
your phone’s manual.
Up to six phones can be paired.
Your phone’s battery may drain
f aster when it is paired to HFL.
If af ter three minutes your phone
is not ready to pair or a phone is
not f ound, the system will time out
andreturntoidle. Press and release the HFL Talk
button. If you are pairing a phone
f or the f irst time, HFL will give
you inf ormation about the pairing
process. If it is not the f irst phone
you are pairing, say ‘‘
’’ and say ‘‘ .’’
Follow the HFL prompts and put
your phone in discovery or search
mode. HFL will give you a 4-digit
pairing code and begin searching
foryourphone.
When your phone f inds a
Bluetooth device, select HFL f rom
the options and enter the 4-digit
code f rom the previous step.

Bluetooth is the wireless technology
that links your phone to HFL. HFL
uses a Class 2 Bluetooth, which
means the maximum range between
yourphoneandvehicleis30feet(10
meters).
During a call, HFL allows you to talk
up to 30 minutes af ter you remove
the key from the ignition switch.
However, this may weaken the
vehicle’s battery. You can make calls using a name in
the HFL phonebook or any phone
number. You can also redial the last
number called.Once connected, you will hear the
person you called through the audio
speakers.
