CAUTION:
When installing a container of liquid air freshener inside the vehicle, do not place it near the instrument cluster nor on the instrument panel surface. If there is any leakage from the air freshener onto these areas (Instrument cluster, instrument panel or air ventilator), it maydamage these parts. Your Hyundai is equipped with a side impact airbag in each front seat. The purpose of the airbag is to provide the vehicle's driver and/or the front pas-senger with additional protection than that offered by the seat belt alone. The side impact airbags are designed todeploy only during certain side-impact collisions, depending on the crash se- verity, angle, speed and point of im-pact. The side impact airbags are not designed to deploy in all side impact situations.
!WARNING:
o The side impact airbag is supple- mental to the driver's and the passenger's seat belt systems and is not a substitute for them. Therefore your seat belts mustbe worn at all times while the vehicle is in motion. The airbags deploy only in certain side im-pact conditions severe enough to cause significant injury to the vehicle occupants.
o For best protection from the side
impact airbag system and toavoid being injured by the de- ploying side impact airbag, both front seat occupants should sitin an upright position with the seat belt properly fastened. The driver's hands should be placedon the steering wheel at the 9:00 and 3:00 o'clock positions. The passenger's arms and handsshould be placed on their laps. o Do not use any accessory seat
covers.
o Use of seat covers could prevent
or reduce the effectiveness of the system.
o Do not install any accessories on
the side or near the side impactairbag.
o Do not use excessive force on the side of the seat.
o Do not place any objects over the
airbag or between the airbag and yourself.
o Do not place any objects (an
umbrella, bag, etc.) between the front door and the front seat. Such objects may become dan-gerous projectiles and cause in- jury if the supplemental side im- pact airbag inflates.
o To prevent unexpected deploy- ment of the side impact airbagthat may result in personalinjury,avoid impact to the side airbag sensor when the ignition key is on.

B410A01A-AAT (If Installed) The instrument panel lights can be made brighter or dimmer by turning the instrument panel light control knob. B420A02A-AAT For the cigarette lighter to work, the key must be in the "ACC" position orthe "ON" position. To use the cigarette lighter, push it all the way into its socket. When theelement has heated, the lighter will pop out to the "ready" position. Do not hold the cigarette lighter pressedin. This can damage the heating ele- ment and create a fire hazard. If it is necessary to replace the ciga-rette lighter, use only a genuine Hyundai replacement or its approved equiva- lent.

HOUR - Push "H" to advance the hour indicated.
MIN - Push "M" to advance the minute indicated.
RESET- Push "R" to reset minutes to

Pressing "R" between 10 : 30 and 11 :29 changes the readout to 11 : 00. Pressing "R" between 11 : 30 and 12 :29 changes the readout to 12 : 00. Type A

1. Remove the cap located in the rearroof panel by using a coin or screw driver. 2. Insert the hexagonal head wrench
provided with the vehicle into the socket. This wrench can be found in the vehicle's trunk or glove box.
3. Push and turn the wrench clockwise
to close or counterclockwise to openthe sunroof.

To close the sunroof, press the "DOWN" but- ton. NOTE: After washing the car or after there is rain, be sure to wipe off any waterthat is on the sunroof before oper- ating it.

The radio unit may be operated when the ignition key is in the "ACC" or "ON"position. Press the knob to switch the power on. The LCD shows the radio frequency in the radio mode or the tapedirection indicator in the tape mode. To switch the power off, press the knob again. VOLUME Control Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the volume and turn the knob counter-clockwise to reduce the volume. 2. BASS Control Knob Press to pop the knob out and turn to the left or right for the desired bass tone. BAL (Balance Control) Knob Pull the bass control knob further out. Turn the control knob counterclockwise to emphasize front speaker sound (rear speaker sound will be attenuated).When the control knob is turned clock- wise, rear speaker sound will be em- phasized (front speaker sound will beattenuated). 4. TUNE (Manual) Select Button Press the side or side to increase or to decrease the frequency. Press either button and hold down to continu- ously scroll. Release button once thedesired station is reached.
SEEK Operation (Automatic Channel Selection) Press the TUNE select button 1 sec or more.Releasing it will automatically tuneto the next available station with a beep sound. When the side is pressed longer than1 second, releasing will automatically tune to the next higher frequency and when the side is pressed longer than1 second, releasing will automatically tune to the next lower frequency. 5. BAND Selector Pressing the button changes the AM, FM1 and FM2 bands. The mode selected is displayed on LCD.

o Select the desired station to be stored by seek, scan or manual tuning.
o Determine the preset station select
button you wish to use to access that station.
o Press the station select button for
more than two seconds. A selectbutton indicator will show in the dis- play indicating which select buttonyou have depressed. The frequency display will flash after it has been stored into the memory. You shouldthen release the button, and proceed to program the next desired station. A total of 18 stations can be pro-grammed by selecting one AM and two FM station per button.
o When completed, any preset station may be recalled by selecting AM,FM1 or FM2 band and the appropri- ate station button.

4. PRESET STATION Select

Six (6) stations for AM, FM and FM2 respectively can be preset in the elec- tronic memory circuit. HOW TO PRESET STATIONS Six AM and twelve FM stations may be programmed into the memory of the radio. Then, by simply pressing the AM/ FM select button and/or one of the six station select buttons, you may recall any of these stations instantly. To pro-gram the stations, follow these steps:

(BSM)
When the BSM button is pressed for two seconds or longer, the six channelsfrom the highest field intensity are se- lected next and stored in memory. The stations selected are stored in the se-quence frequency from the first preset key.
6. EQ Button Press the EQ button to select the CLAS- SIC, JAZZ, ROCK and DEFEAT MODE for the desired tone quality. Each pressof the button changes the display as follows; 7. TUNE (Manual) Select Knob Rotate the knob clockwise to increase the frequency and turn the knob coun-terclockwise to reduce the frequency.
Mode Select Knob Pressing the MODE button changes the BASS, MIDDLE, TREBLE, FADER and BALANCE mode. The mode selected is shown on thedisplay. After selecting the each mode, rotate the mode select knob clockwise orcounterclockwise. BASS Control To increase the BASS, rotate the knob clockwise, while to decrease the BASS, rotate the knob counterclockwise. MID Control To increase the MID, rotate the knob clockwise, while to decrease the MID, rotate the knob counterclockwise. TREBLE Control To increase the TREBLE, rotate the knob clockwise, while to decrease theTREBLE, rotate the knob counterclock- wise. FAD (Fader Control) Rotate the control knob clockwise to emphasize rear speaker sound (frontspeaker sound will be attenuated). When the control knob is turned counterclock- wise, front speaker sound will be em-phasized (rear speaker sound will be attenuated). BALANCE Control Rotate the knob clockwise to empha- size right speaker sound (left speaker sound will be attenuated). When the control knob is turned counterclock-wise, left speaker sound will be empha- sized (right speaker sound will be at- tenuated).
