B100A01GK-GAT Seat Warmer (If Installed) The seat warmer is provided to warm the front seats during cold weather. With the ignition key in the "ON" posi-tion, push either of the switches to warm the driver's seat or the passenger's seat.During mild weather or under condi- tions where the operation of the seat warmer is not needed, keep theswitches in the "OFF" position.

You can adjust the height of the shoul-der belt anchor to one of the 4 positionsfor maximum comfort and safety. If the height of the adjusting seat belt is too near your neck, you will not begetting the most effective protection. The shoulder portion should be ad- justed so that it lies across your chestand midway over your shoulder nearest the door and not your neck. To adjust the height of the seat beltanchor, lower or raise the height ad- juster into an appropriate position. To raise the height adjuster, pull it up. Tolower it, push it down while pressing the height adjuster button. Release the button to lock the anchor into position. Try sliding the height ad-juster to make sure that it has locked into the position.B180A02A-GAT SEAT BELTS-Driver's and Passenger's 3-Point System withWebbing Clamp Locking Retrac-tor (If Installed)To Fasten Your Belt To fasten your seat belt, pull it out of the retractor and insert the metal tab intothe buckle. There will be an audible "click" when the tab locks into the buckle.The seat belt automatically adjusts to the proper length only after the lap belt is adjusted manually so that it fitssnugly around your hips. If you lean forward in a slow, easy motion, the belt will extend and let you move around.

B230G01A-GAT Installation on the Outboard Rear Seats To install a child restraint system in the outboard rear seats, extend the shoul-der/lap belt from its retractor. Install the child restraint system, buckle the seat belt and allow the seat belt to takeup any slack. Make sure that the lap portion of the belt is tight around the child restraint system and the shoulderportion of the belt is positioned so that it cannot interfere with the child's head or neck. After installation of the childrestraint system, try to move it in all directions to be sure the child restraint system is securely installed.On outboard rear seats
HGK1010o Never use an infant carrier or childsafety seat that "hooks" over a seatback; it may not provide ad-equate security in an accident.
o Never allow a child to be held in a
person's arms while they are in amoving vehicle, as this could re- sult in serious injury to the child in the event of an accident or asudden stop. Holding a child in a moving vehicle does not provide the child with any means of pro-tection during an accident, even if the person holding the child is wearing a seat belt.
o If the child restraint seat is not
anchored properly, the risk of achild being seriously injured or killed in a collision greatly in- creases.o Children who are too large to be in
a child restraint should sit in the rear seat and be restrained with the available lap/shoulder belts.Never allow children to ride in the front passenger seat.
o Always make sure that the shoul- der belt portion of the outboardlap/shoulder belt is positioned midway over the shoulder, neveracross the neck or behind the back. Moving the child closer to the center of the vehicle may helpprovide a good shoulder belt fit. The lap belt portion of the lap/ shoulder belt or the center seatlap belt must always be posi- tioned as low as possible on the child's hips and as snug as pos-sible.
o If the seat belt will not properly fit
the child, Hyundai recommendsthe use of an approved booster seat in the rear seat in order to raise the child's seating heightso that the seat belt will properly fit the child.
o Never allow a child to stand up or kneel on the seat.

Your ABS (ESP) will not prevent accidents due to improper or dan- gerous driving maneuvers. Eventhough vehicle control is improved during emergency braking, always maintain a safe distance betweenyou and objects ahead. Vehicle speeds should always be reduced during extreme road conditions.The braking distance for cars equipped with an anti-lock braking system may be longer than for thosewithout it in the following road con- ditions. During these conditions the vehicleshould be driven at reduced speeds.
o Rough, gravel or snow-covered roads.
o With tire chains installed.
o Roads where the road surface is
pitted or has different surface height. The safety features of an ABS (ESP) equipped vehicle should not be tested by high speed driving or cornering. This could endanger the safety ofyourself or others.
ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM (ESP)
C310A01JM-AAT (If installed) The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) system is designed to stabilize thevehicle during cornering manuevers. ESP checks where you are steering and where the vehicle is actually going.ESP applies the brakes at individual wheels and intervenes in the engine management system to stabilize thevehicle. The Electronic Stability Program (ESP) system is an electronic system de- signed to help the driver maintain ve- hicle control under adverse conditions.It is not a substitute for safe driving practices. D060B02GK-AAT 1. Obtain Spare Tire and Tool Remove the spare tire and remove the jack and tool bag from the trunk. The jack is located behind the rightside of luggage trim. Remove the jack cover by unscrewing the bolts. Turn the jack end counterclockwise to lowerthe jack height by using a screw driver or wrench bar and remove it from the bracket.

To minimise risk of severe injury in the event of a collision or a sudden stop, both the driver's andpassenger's seatbacks should al- ways be in an upright position while the vehicle is in motion. The protec-tion provided by the seat belts and airbags in a frontal collision may be reduced significantly when the seatbacks are reclined. There is greater risk that the driver and passenger will slide under the seat belt which may result in serious injury if a crash occurs when the seatbacksare reclined. The seat belt cannot provide full protection to an occu- pant if the seat back is reclined.
