Follow the Normal Maintenance
Schedule if the vehicle is usually
operated where none of the following
conditions apply. If any of the follow
ing conditions apply, follow
Maintenance Under Severe Usage
Conditions.
• Repeated driving short distance ofless than 8 km (5 miles) in normal
temperature or less than 16 km(10
miles) in freezing temperature
• Extensive engine idling or low speed driving for long distances
• Driving on rough, dusty, muddy, unpaved, graveled or saltspreadroads
• Driving in areas using salt or other corrosive materials or in very cold
weather
• Driving in the condition of inflowing sand or dust into engine
• Driving in heavy traffic area
• Driving on uphill, downhill, or mountain road repeatedly
• Towing a trailer or using a camper, or roof rack • Driving as a patrol car, taxi, other
commercial use of vehicle towing
• Driving over 170 km/h (106 mile/h)
• Frequently driving in stopandgo condition
If your vehicle is operated under the
above conditions, you shouldinspect, replace or refill more frequently than the following NormalMaintenance Schedule. After theperiods or distance shown in thechart, continue to follow the pre scribed maintenance intervals.

: Adjust alternator and power steering (and water pump drive belt) and air conditioner drive belt (if equipped).

: If good quality gasolines that meet Europe Fuel standards (EN228) or equivalents including fuel additives is not available, one
bottle of additive is recommended. Additives are available from your authorized HYUNDAI dealer along with information on how
to use them. Do not mix other additives.

: For your convenience, it can be replaced prior to it's interval when you do maintenance of other items.

: Inspect for excessive valve noise and/or engine vibration and adjust if necessary. We recommend that the system be checked
by an authorized HYUNDAI dealer.

depends on fuel quality. If there are some important safety matters like fuel flow restriction, surging, loss of power, hard start

: Inspect drive belt tensioner, idler and alternator pulley and if necessary correct or replace.

: Check the engine oil level and leak every 500 km (350 miles) or before starting a long trip.

: The engine oil level should be checked regularly and maintained properly. Operating with an insufficient amount oil can dam
age the engine, and such damage is not covered by warranty.

: This maintenance schedule depends on fuel quality. It is applicable only when using a qualified fuel < "EN590 or equivalent">.
If the diesel fuel specification doesn't meet the EN590, it must be replaced more frequently. If there are some important safety
matters like fuel flow restriction, surging, loss of power, hard starting problem etc, replace the fuel filter immediately regardless
of maintenance schedule and we recommend that you consult an authorized HYUNDAI dealer for details.

: If the diesel fuel specification don't meet the EN590, it must be replaced more frequently. HYUNDAI recommends "every
