It is recommended that you have the battery checked by an authorized HYUNDAI dealerbefore the start of cold weather and, if neces-sary, have it charged. If the temperature in your area drops below
freezing, there is the danger that the coolant inthe engine or radiator could freeze and causesevere damage to the engine and/or radiator. Be sure to add a sufficient amount of antifreeze
to the coolant to prevent it from freezing.
The engine coolant mixture used at the factory
is intended to be left in the cooling system andprovides protection against freezing for tem-perature as low as approximately -30°C (-20°F).The concentration should be checked beforethe start of cold weather and anti-freeze addedto the system if necessary

For driving safely, and in order to obtain the
maximum useful life of the tires, the following points should be observed. For informationconcerning inspection, air pressure, and rota-tion of the tires, refer to the part which dealswith wheels in the section of this manual en-titled "Consumer Information".

Tire air pressure
Tire air pressure
The air pressure of the tires must always be
maintained in accordance with the specifica-tions, and should be measured when the tiresare cool.
If any changes in driving conditions(speed and/
or load weight) occur, the air pressure of thetires must meet the specifications which applyto the new driving conditions. If the vehicle isgoing to be driven under varying load weight, etc., the air pressure must be adjusted in orderto meet the highest specifications of the condi-tions under which the vehicle is driven (highspeeds and maximum load weight).

A clogged filter can limit the speed at which the
vehicle may be driven, damage the emissionsystem and cause hard starting. If an exces-sive amount of foreign matter accumulates inthe fuel tank, the filter may require replacementmore frequently.
After installing a new filter, run the engine for
several minutes, and check for leaks at theconnections.

Inspect the hose routing to assure that the
hoses do not come in contact with any heatsource, sharp edges or moving componentwhich might cause heat damage or mechanicalwear. Inspect all hose connections, such asclamps and couplings, to make sure they aresecure, and that no leaks are present.
