After completion of the step above, the turn signal lights will blink twice to indicate that thesystem is disarmed. NOTE: Once the system has been disarmed, it can not be rearmed except by repeating thearming procedures. CAUTION: Only the transmitter can disarm the armedstage. If the transmitter does not disarmthe system, it is necessary to take thefollowing steps;
1. Unlock the door with the key, which willcause, the alarm to be activated.
2. Insert the key in the ignition key cylinder and turn the ignition key to "ON" posi- tion.
3. Wait for 30 seconds. After completing the steps above, the sys- tem will be disarmed.
B070D02O-AAT Disarmed Stage
B070C01FC-GAT Alarm StageThe alarm will be activated if any of the following occurs while the car is parked and thesystem is armed.
1) A front or rear door is opened without using
the transmitter.
2) The tail gate is opened without using the transmitter.
3) The engine hood is opened. The alarming horn will sound and the turn signal light will blink continuously for 27 seconds (E.Conly/ Except E.C 3 times). To turn off thesystem, unlock the door or tail gate with thetransmitter.

B070F01A-GAT Keyless Entry System (If Installed) Locking doors
1. Close all doors.
2. Push the "LOCK" button on the transmitter.
3. At the same time all doors lock, the turnsignal lights will blink once to indicate thatthe system is armed. B070E02HP-GAT Replacing the batteryWhen the transmitter's battery begins to get weak, it may take several pushes on the buttonto lock or unlock the doors, and the LED will notlight. Replace the battery as soon as possible. Battery type : CR2032
Replacement instructions:
1. Separate the case with a blade screwdriver as shown in the illustration.

DOOR WINDOWS
The front door windows may be opened or
closed by turning the window regulator handle. Ensure that when the windows are closed, nothing may become trapped between the glass and the door frame.
WARNING: When opening or closing the windows,
make sure your passenger's arms and hands are safety out of the way. B060A01E-EAT POWER WINDOWS (Not all models) The power windows operate when the ignition key is in the "ON" position. The main switchesare located on the driver's armrest and controlthe front and rear windows on both sides of the vehicle. The windows may be opened by depressing the appropriate window switch and closed by pulling up the switch. To open the window on the driver's side, press the switch(1) down. The window moves as long as the switch is operated.

Replacement instructions:
1. Separate the case with a blade screw-
driver as shown in the illustration.
2. Remove the old battery from the case and note the polarity. Make sure the polarity of the new battery is the same(+side facing down), then insert it in the transmitter.

Plastic wheel covers should be cleaned using a sponge and water. Cast alloy wheels should be cleaned using a mild soap or neutral deter- gent. Abrasive compounds must not be used since in the event of these damaging the lac- quer coating, oxidization of the aluminium wheel will occur, spoiling the appearance. The use of an a toothbrush will facilitate cleaning between the wheel "spokes".

SE040B1-E STAIN/SPOT REMOVAL Should tree sap, dead insects or tar prove to be difficult to remove from the paint film, turpentine or a proprietary paint cutting compound may be used. Ensure that the area to be cleaned is not rubbed intensively to prevent breaking through the colour coat and exposing the under coat. SE040C1-E POLISHINGThe exterior paint work should be polished with a proprietary wax polish when water no longer collects in bead form on the paint work. The instructions of the product manufacturer should be adhered to. SE040E1-E BUMPER MAINTENANCEThe special material from which the bumpers are manufactured warrants special attention to pre- serve the appearance of the bumpers. Avoid contact with battery electrolyte or brake fluid and SE040F1-E ACCIDENT REPAIRSIn the event of the body work sustaining damage, the following points should be noted prior to repairs being undertaken. If body panels are replaced or repaired, anti corrosion treatment must be applied to the repair area. The product used must be compatible withthose used in manufacture. It is recommended that repairs are entrusted to a Hyundai dealer to ensure that replacement parts used are of the same high quality as those used in manufacture of the vehicle and that the correct repair methods and materials will ensure adequate levels of corrosion protection and the continued validity of the Anti Perforation Warranty. acid which is corrosive and poisonous. Hy- drogen gas is emitted from the battery whichis explosive when combined with oxygen.The following precautions must be strictlyobserved to avoid personal injury or dam-age to the vehicle.
o If battery electrolyte is spilled onto skin or
into eyes, the effected area must be flushed with copious amounts of water and medicalassistance sought.
o If battery electrolyte is ingested, copious amounts of water or milk followed by an ant-acid (raw egg or milk of magnesia) must bedrunk. Vomiting should not be induced andmedical assistance must be sought. o Batteries must only be charged in well
venti-lated areas from which naked lightsor sources of sparks are excluded.
o Ensure that children, pets or other unautho- rized persons are kept away from batteries.
o Do not allow anything to bridge the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals of the battery.
o Never invert the battery.
The battery fitted during production is of the
"Maintenance Free" type.
