Your vehicle is equipped with electronic fuel injection and other electronic compo- nents. It is possible for an improperly installed/adjusted two-way radio or cellular telephone to adversely affect electronic systems. For this reason, we recommendthat you carefully follow the radio manufacturer's instructions or consult your Hyundai dealer for precautionary measures or special instructions if you choose to install one of these devices.

WARNING:
Never attempt to adjust the seat while the vehicle is moving. Thiscould result in loss of control or an accident which may cause death, serious injury, or property damage.
B080B02A-AAT Adjusting Seat Forward and Rearward To move the seat toward the front or rear, pull the lock release lever up- ward.
!WARNING:
1) Be careful that someone's head, hands and body are not trapped by a closing window.
2) Never try to operate the main
switch on the driver's door andthe individual door window switch in opposing directions atthe same time. If this is done, the window will stop and cannot be opened or closed.
3) Do not leave children alone in the car. Always remove the ignitionkey for their safety.

NOTE: The power windows can be oper- ated for 30 seconds after the igni- tion key is turned to the "ACC" or"LOCK" positions, or removed from the ignition switch. If the front doors are opened duringthis 30 second period, the power windows can no longer be oper- ated without the ignition key turnedto the "ON" position.

This will release the seat on its track so you can move it forward or rearwardto the desired position. When you find the position you want, release the lever and slide the seat forward orrearward on its track until it locks into the desired position and cannot be moved further.
!WARNING:
To ensure the seat is locked se- curely, attempt to move the seatforward or rearward without using the lock release lever.!
B080C01A-AAT Adjusting Seatback Angle To recline the seatback, lean forward to take your weight off it, then pull up onthe recliner control lever at the outside edge of the seat. Now lean back until the desired seatback angle is achieved.To lock the seatback into position, release the recliner control lever.
WARNING:
To minimize risk of severe injury inthe event of a collision or a sudden stop, both the driver and passen-ger seatbacks should always be in an upright position while the ve- hicle is in motion. The protectionprovided by the seat belts and airbags in a frontal collision may be reduced significantly when theseatbacks are reclined. There is greater risk that the driver and pas- senger will slide under the seat beltwhich may result in serious injury if a crash occurs when the seatbacks are reclined.The seat belt cannot provide full protection to an occupant if the seat back is reclined.

Headrests are designed to help reduce the risk of neck injuries. To raise the headrest, pull it up. Tolower it, push it down while pressing the lock knob. To remove the head- rest, raise it as far as it can go thenpress the lock knob while pulling up- ward.

B081D01LZ-AAT Tilting Headrest Forward and Rearward (If Installed) The headrest may be tilted forward to three different positions by pulling the headrest forward. To adjust the head- rest rearward, pull it fully forward to thefarthest position and release it. Adjust the headrest so that it properly sup- ports the head and neck.

WARNING:
o For maximum effectiveness in case of an accident the headrest should be adjusted so the middle of theheadrest is at the same height as the top of the occupant's eyes. For this reason, the use of a cushionthat holds the body away from the seatback should not be recom- mended.

headrests removed as injury tothe occupants may occur in theevent of an accident. Headrests may provide protection against neck injuries when properly ad- justed.

B090A02Y-AAT POWER DRIVER'S SEAT (If Installed) The driver's seat can be adjusted ap- propriately by using the control knobon the left side of the seat. Before driving, adjust the seat to the proper position so as to easily control thesteering wheel, pedals and switches on the instrument panel.
CAUTION:
Do not operate two knobs at the same time.
WARNING:
o Never attempt to adjust the seat while the vehicle is moving. Thiscould result in loss of control oran accident causing death, seri- ous injury, or property damage.
o Do not sit or lean unnecessarily close to the airbag. B090B01L-AAT Adjusting Seat Forward and Rearward Pull the control knob forward or back- ward to move the seat forward or back-ward to the desired position. Release the knob and the seat will lock at that position.

B090D01Y-AAT Adjusting Seatback Angle Rotate the upper portion of the control knob forward or backward to recline the seatback to the desired position.Release the control knob and then the seatback will lock in that position. WARNING:

!WARNING:
o The purpose of the fold-down rear seatback and the fold-up rear seat cushion is to allow you to carry more objects than could be accommodated. Never allow pas-sengers to sit on the cargo area while the car is moving. This is not a proper seating position andno seat belts are available for use when the seatback is folded down.This could result in serious in- jury or death in case of an acci- dent or a sudden stop. Objectsshould not extend higher than the top of the front seatbacks. This could allow cargo to slideforward and cause injury or dam- age during sudden stops. B095A03HP-GAT THIRD SEAT(For 7 Passengers) Adjusting Seatback Angle To recline the seatback, pull the seatback recliner control lever back-wards, and release it after the desired seatback angle is achieved. When you recline the seatback to de-sired position, always be sure it has locked into position.
o When you return the rear
seatback to its upright position after being folded down, be care- ful not to damage the seat belt webbing or buckle. In addition,do not allow the seat belt web- bing or buckle to get caught or pinched in the rear seat.
o Do not allow passengers to fold down and up the seatback andseat cushion while the car ismoving.

B160A01A-AAT CARE OF SEAT BELTS Seat belt systems should never be disassembled or modified. In addition,care should be taken to assure that seat belts and belt hardware are not damaged by seat hinges, doors orother abuse.
WARNING:
When you return the rear seatback to its upright position after the rear seatback was folded down, be care- ful not to damage the seat belt web- bing or buckle. Be sure that thewebbing or buckle does not get caught or pinched in the rear seat.
B160B01A-AAT Periodic Inspection It is recommended that all seat belts be inspected periodically for wear ordamage of any kind. Parts of the sys- tem that are damaged should be re- placed as soon as possible. B160C01A-AAT Keep Belts Clean and Dry Seat belts should be kept clean and dry. If belts become dirty, they can becleaned by using a mild soap solution and warm water. Bleach, dye, strong detergents or abrasives should not beused because they may damage and weaken the fabric. B160D01A-AAT When to Replace Seat Belts Entire in-use seat belt assembly or assemblies should be replaced if the vehicle has been involved in an acci-dent. This should be done even if no damage is visible. Additional ques- tions concerning seat belt operationshould be directed to your Hyundai Dealer.
B170A04A-AAT HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE FRONT SEAT SHOULDER BELT(If Installed) You can adjust the height of the shoul- der belt anchor to one of the 4 positions for maximum comfort and safety. If the height of the adjusting seat belt istoo near your neck, you will not be getting the most effective protection. The shoulder portion should be ad-justed so that it lies across your chest and midway over your shoulder near- est the door and not your neck.To adjust the height of the seat belt anchor, lower or raise the height ad- juster into an appropriate position. B180A02A-GAT SEAT BELTS-Driver's and Passenger's 3-Point System withWebbing Clamp Locking Retrac-tor (If Installed)To Fasten Your Belt To fasten your seat belt, pull it out of the retractor and insert the metal tab into the buckle. There will be an au-dible "click" when the tab locks into the buckle.
