TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS FOR SYMPTOMS

Vehicle Does Not Creep Backward In “R” PositionACS007GI
SYMPTOM:
The vehicle does not creep in the “R” position. Or an extreme lack of acceleration is observed.
DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS
Perform self-diagnosis. Refer to AT- 9 4 , "
SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULT MODE" .
Do the self-diagnostic results indicate accelerator pedal position sensor, ATF pressure switch 6, high and low
reverse clutch solenoid valve, CAN communication line, PNP switch?
YES >> Check the malfunctioning system. Refer to EC-555, "DTC P2122, P2123 APP SENSOR" (for
VQ35DE) or EC-1225, "
DTC P2122, P2123 APP SENSOR" (for VK45DE), EC-562, "DTC P2127,
P2128 APP SENSOR" (for VQ35DE) or EC-1232, "DTC P2127, P2128 APP SENSOR" (for
VK45DE), EC-576, "
DTC P2138 APP SENSOR" (for VQ35DE) or EC-1246, "DTC P2138 APP
SENSOR" (for VK45DE), AT- 1 3 6 , "DTC P1705 THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR" , AT- 1 8 4 ,
"DTC P1846 ATF PRESSURE SWITCH 6" , AT- 1 6 4 , "DTC P1767 HIGH AND LOW REVERSE
CLUTCH SOLENOID VALVE" , AT- 1 0 5 , "DTC U1000 CAN COMMUNICATION LINE" , AT- 11 2 ,
"DTC P0705 PARK/NEUTRAL POSITION SWITCH" .
NO >> GO TO 2.
2. CHECK CONTROL LINKAGE
Check the control linkage.

Refer to AT- 2 3 4 , "Checking of A/T Position" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Adjust control linkage. Refer to AT- 2 3 4 , "
Adjustment of A/T Position" .
3. CHECK A/T FLUID LEVEL
Check A/T fluid level. Refer to AT- 1 2 , "
Checking A/T Fluid" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 4.
NG >> Refill ATF.
4. CHECK STALL TEST
Check stall revolution with selector lever in “M” and “R” positions.
Refer to AT- 5 1 , "
STALL TEST" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 6.
OK in “M” position, NG in “R” position>>GO TO 5
NG in both “M” and “R” positions>>GO TO 8.

5. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
1. Disassemble A/T. Refer to AT- 2 8 6 , "

2. Check the following items:
–Reverse brake. Refer to AT- 2 8 6 , "DISASSEMBLY" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 9.
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
6. CHECK LINE PRESSURE
Check the line pressure with the engine idling. Refer to AT- 5 2 , "
LINE
PRESSURE TEST" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 9.
NG - 1 >> Line pressure high. GO TO 7.
NG - 2 >> Line pressure low. GO TO 8.
7. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
1. Check control valve with TCM. Refer to AT- 2 4 2 , "
Control Valve with TCM and A/T Fluid Temperature Sen-
sor 2" .
2. Disassemble A/T. Refer to AT- 2 8 6 , "
DISASSEMBLY" .
3. Check the following items:
–Oil pump assembly. Refer to AT- 3 0 3 , "Oil Pump" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 9.
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
8. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
1. Check control valve with TCM. Refer to AT- 2 4 2 , "

2. Check A/T fluid condition. Refer to AT- 5 1 , "

OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 10.
NG >> GO TO 13.
10. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM

Check the malfunction items. If any items are damaged, repair or replace damaged parts. Refer to AT- 6 5 ,
"Symptom Chart" (Symptom No.43).
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 11.
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
11 . CHECK SYMPTOM
Check again. Refer to AT- 5 5 , "
Check at Idle" .
OK or NG
OK >>INSPECTION END
NG >> GO TO 12.
12. CHECK TCM
1. Check TCM input/output signals. Refer to AT- 9 0 , "
TCM Input/Output Signal Reference Values" .
2. If NG, recheck A/T assembly harness connector terminals for damage or loose connection with harness
connector.
OK or NG
OK >>INSPECTION END
NG >> Repair or replace damaged parts.
13. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM

Check the malfunction items. If any items are damaged, repair or replace damaged parts. Refer to AT- 6 5 ,
"Symptom Chart" (Symptom No.43).
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 11.

DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE
1. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULTS
Perform self-diagnosis. Refer to AT- 9 4 , "
SELF-DIAGNOSTIC RESULT MODE" , AT- 1 0 3 , "TCM SELF-DIAG-
NOSTIC PROCEDURE (NO TOOLS)" .
Do the self-diagnostic results indicate accelerator pedal position sensor, CAN communication line, PNP
switch?
YES >> Check the malfunctioning system. Refer to EC-555, "DTC P2122, P2123 APP SENSOR" (for
VQ35DE) or EC-1225, "
DTC P2122, P2123 APP SENSOR" (for VK45DE), EC-562, "DTC P2127,
P2128 APP SENSOR" (for VQ35DE) or EC-1232, "DTC P2127, P2128 APP SENSOR" (for
VK45DE), EC-576, "
DTC P2138 APP SENSOR" (for VQ35DE) or EC-1246, "DTC P2138 APP
SENSOR" (for VK45DE), AT- 1 3 6 , "DTC P1705 THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR" , AT- 1 0 5 ,

NO >> GO TO 2.
2. CHECK CONTROL LINKAGE
Check the control linkage.

OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 3.
NG >> Adjust control linkage. Refer to AT- 2 3 4 , "
Adjustment of A/T Position" .
3. CHECK A/T FLUID LEVEL
Check A/T fluid level. Refer to AT- 1 2 , "
Checking A/T Fluid" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 4.
NG >> Refill ATF.
4. CHECK STALL TEST
Check stall revolution with selector lever in “D” position. Refer to AT-
51, "STALL TEST" .

OK >> GO TO 5.

Check line pressure at idle with selector lever in “D” position. Refer

OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 8.
NG - 1 >> Line pressure high. GO TO 6.
NG - 2 >> Line pressure low. GO TO 7.
6. DETECT MALFUNCTIONING ITEM
1. Check control valve with TCM. Refer to AT- 2 4 2 , "
Control Valve with TCM and A/T Fluid Temperature Sen-
sor 2" .
2. Disassemble A/T. Refer to AT- 2 8 6 , "

OK >> GO TO 4.
NG >> Repair or replace accelerator pedal position (APP) sensor.
4. CHECK A/T FLUID LEVEL
Check A/T fluid level. Refer to AT- 1 2 , "
Checking A/T Fluid" .
OK or NG
OK >> GO TO 5.
NG >> Refill ATF.
5. CHECK LINE PRESSURE
Check line pressure at the engine stall point. Refer to AT- 5 2 , "

OK >> GO TO 8.
