OPERATION PROCEDURE
1. Touch “START (NISSAN BASED VHCL)”, “ABS”, “DATA MONITOR” in order on CONSULT-II screen.
CAUTION:
When “START (NISSAN BASED VHCL)” is touched immediately after starting engine or turning on
the ignition switch, “ABS” might not be displayed in the system selection screen. In this case,
repeat the operation from step 1.
2. At the monitor item selection screen, touch one of the items “ECU INPUT SIGNALS”, “MAIN SIGNALS” or
“SELECTION FROM MENU”.
3. Touch “START” to proceed to the data monitor screen.

The display shows the control unit calculation data, so a normal value might be displayed even in the
event the output circuit (harness) is open or short - circuited.

1. CHECK SELF-DIAGNOSIS RESULTS
Check self-diagnosis results.
Is above displayed on the self-diagnosis display?
YES >> GO TO 2.
NO >> INSPECTION END
2. CHECK ICC SENSOR INTEGRATED UNIT CIRCUIT
1. Perform ICC sensor integrated unit self-diagnosis. Repair or replace items indicated, then perform ICC
sensor integrated unit self-diagnosis again. Refer to ACS-27, "
TROUBLE DIAGNOSIS - GENERAL
DESCRIPTION" .
2. Perform ABS actuator and electric unit (control unit) self-diagnosis.
OK or NG

Repair or replace malfunctioning components.
Perform the self-diagnosis, and make sure that the result shows NO DTC IS DETECTED.

CONSULT-II is a hand-held type tester. When it is connected with a diagnostic connector equipped on the

1. Put a check mark to “No indication” if some of unit names listed on the column of diagnosis system selec-
tion screen of a check sheet table are not displayed on “SELECT SYSTEM” screen attached to the check
sheet.
NOTE:
Put a check mark to “No indication” of BCM and AUTO DRIVE POS. because BCM and AUTO DRIVE
POS. is not displayed on “SELECT SYSTEM” screen.
2. Confirm the unit name that “UNKWN” is displayed from the copy of “CAN DIAG SUPPORT MNTR” screen
of “ENGINE” attached to the check sheet, and then put a check mark to the check sheet table.
NOTE:
In “CAN DIAG SUPPORT MNTR” screen, “UNKWN” is displayed on “VDC/TCS/ABS”, “METER/M&A” and
“IPDM E/R”. Put a check mark to it.
3. Confirm the unit name that “UNKWN” is displayed on the copy of “CAN DIAG SUPPORT MNTR” screen
of “A/T” and “AIR PRESSURE MONITOR” as well as “ENGINE”. And then, put a check mark to the check
sheet table.

when malfunction is detected again in the process.
