driving so full attention may be given to vehicle operation.
• Always wear your seat belt.
• Supplemental air bags do not replace proper seat belt usage.

Children 12 and under should always ride in the rear seat
properly secured in child restraints or seat belts according to their
age and weight.
• Do not drink and drive.

Driving Aids (if so equipped)
The trip computer displays different driving aids including Forward Collision, Lane
Departure Prevention, and Blind spot intervention, if they are currently activated.
To disable driving aids/warnings:
1.
Press the
MENU button just below the lower display.
2.
Touch the right arrow key until you see “Driver
Assistance”. Touch the “Driver Assistance” key.
3.
Touch the key that corresponds with the driving
aid/warning you would like to turn off (
Forward
Assist, Lane Assist, or Blind Spot Assist).
4. Select the driving aid line key to disable.
For more information, refer to the “Starting and Driving (section 5)” of your Owner’s Manual.
Loose Fuel Cap
A LOOSE FUEL CAP warning message will appear in
the vehicle information display
01 when the fuel-filler
cap is not tightened correctly.
To tighten, turn the cap clockwise until a single click
is heard.
The warning message will disappear when the veh icle
detects the fuel-filler cap is properly tightened and
the
or button 02 is pressed.
If the cap is not properly tightened, the Malfunction
Indicator Light
may illuminate.For more information, refer to the “Instruments and controls (section 2)” and the “Pre-driving checks and adjustments
(section 3)” of your Owner’s Manual.

Direct Response Hybrid™ System Warning Light
This light will illuminate when the ignition switch is in the ON positio\
n
and will turn off when the hybrid system is started.
The light will also illuminate when a malfunction occurs in the electric\
motor or hybrid system.
When this light illuminates while driving, immediately stop the vehicle \
in a safe location and
contact an INFINITI retailer.
If the hybrid system warning light blinks while driving, it may indicate\
that the Li-ion battery
charge is low and you cannot continue to drive.

INFINITI Intelligent Key System
The INFINITI Intelligent Key system allows you to lock or
unlock the vehicle, open the trunk and start the engine. It is
important to make sure the Intelligent Key is with you (that
is, in your pocket or purse).
The operating range of the Intelligent Key is within
31.5 in (80 cm) from each request switch.
To lock the vehicle, push either door handle request
switch
01 once or press the
button
03 on
the key fob.
To unlock the vehicle, perform one of the
following procedures:
•
Touch the inside of the door
handle
02 to unlock the
corresponding door. Pressing the request switch 01
while touching the inside of the door handle will unlock the
rest of the doors, or
•
Press the button
04 on the key fob to unlock the driver’s
side door. Press the
button again; all other doors will unlock.
To release the trunk lid, press the button
05 for more than
1 second. Lift the trunk lid to access the trunk.
The Intelligent Key can also be used to activate the panic alarm by pres\
sing and holding the
button
06 for more than 1 second. Once activated, the panic alarm and headlights w\
ill stay
on for a period of time.
INFINITI INTELLIGENT KEY BATTERY DISCHARGE
If the battery of the Intelligent Key is discharged,
or environmental conditions interfere with the
Intelligent Key operation, start the engine according
to the following procedure:
1.
Move the shift lever to the
P (P ARK ) position.
2.
Firmly apply the foot brake.
3.
Touch the ignition switch with
the Intelligent Key
and a chime will sound.
4.
Within 10 seconds after the chime sounds, push
the ignition switch while depressing the
brake pedal and the engine will start.

Look straight ahead and avoid speaking too loudly or too softly.
To go back to the previous command, say “Go back”.
To cancel a voice recognition session, say “Exit” or press and hol\
d the button.
To interrupt the system voice and give a command quickly, press the
button.
To increase or decrease the volume of the voice prompts, push the volume\
control
switches or
on the steering wheel or turn the VOL/
button on the audio system while
the system is responding.
Please refer to the cellular phone manufacturer’s Owner’s Manual f\
or detailed information
regarding your Bluetooth phone.
To reduce the length of spoken prompts, you can select “Minimize Voic\
e Fe edback” in the
voice recognition settings menu.
The voice recognition system allows you to choose between voice input an\
d manual
controls of lists. Choose the method that is easiest for you. For exampl\
e, when a list is
shown, you can use the
switch on the steering wheel to select an item from the
displayed list instead of saying the item.
When using the feature to navigate lists during voice recognition use the spoken
menu readout feature to help navigate the list easily. Voice input is pa\
used when menu
control is activated. To resume voice recognition, select a menu item by\
pushing the
switch, or simply push the
button.
CONNECTING PROCEDURE
The vehicle must be stationary when connecting
the phone.
1.
Press the MENU button below the lower display, touch
the “Settings” key.
2.
Touch “
Bluetooth”.
3.
Touch “Connect Device” and then touch
“Add New”.
4.
Initiate connecting from the phone.

The connecting procedure varies according to each
cellular phone model. For detailed connecting
instructions and a list of compatible phones,

•
When prompted for a PIN code, enter the PIN
code that appears on the screen into the handset.
5.
When the connecting is complete, the screen will
return to the previous screen.
