Outside rearview mirror
Be sure to adjust the mirror angles be‐
fore driving.
Your vehicle is equipped with both left- hand and right-hand outside rearview
mirrors. The mirrors can be adjusted
remotely with the remote switch. The mirror heads can be folded back to pre‐
vent damage during an automatic car
wash or when passing through a nar‐ row street.
WARNING
nRearview mirrors
•The outside rearview mirror isconvex. Objects seen in the mirrorare closer than they appear.

•Use your interior rearview mirroror direct observation to determinethe actual distance of followingvehicles when changing lanes.
CAUTION
Do not scrape ice off the mirror face;this may damage the surface of theglass. If ice should restrict the move‐ment of the mirror, do not force themirror for adjustment. To removeice, use a deicer spray, or a spongeor soft cloth with warm water.
CAUTION
If the mirror is jammed with ice, donot adjust the mirror by force. Usean approved de-icer spray (not radi‐ator antifreeze) to release the fro‐zen mechanism or move the vehicleto a warm place and allow the ice tomelt.
WARNING
Do not adjust or fold the outsiderearview mirrors while the vehicle ismoving. This could result in loss ofcontrol and an accident which couldcause death, serious injury or prop‐erty damage.

Check BRAKE SWITCH fuse (for
smart key system)
• This warning message illuminates ifthe brake switch fuse is disconnec‐
ted.
• It means that you should replace the fuse with a new one. If that is not
possible, you can start the engine by
pressing the Engine Start/Stop But‐
ton for 10 seconds in the ACC posi‐
tion.
Shift to P or N to start engine (for
smart key system)
• This warning message illuminates if you try to start the engine with the
shift lever not in the P (Park) or N (Neutral) position.
NOTICE
You can start the engine with the
shift lever in the N (Neutral) position.
But, for your safety, we recommend

Icy road warning light (if equipped)

This warning light is to warn the driver
the road may be icy.
When the following conditions occur, the warning light (including Outside
Temperature Gauge) blinks 5 times and
then illuminates, and also warning chime sounds once.
- The temperature on the Outside
Temperature Gauge is below approxi‐
mately 4°C (40°F).
NOTICE
If the icy road warning light appears
while driving, you should drive more
attentively and safely refraining
from over-speeding, rapid accelera‐
tion, sudden braking or sharp turn‐
ing, etc.
Align steering wheel
• This warning message illuminates if you start the engine when the steer‐
ing wheel is turned to more than 90 degrees to the left or right.
• It means that you should turn the steering wheel and make the angle of
the steering wheel be less than 30
degrees.
Low washer fluid (if equipped)
• This warning message illuminates on the service reminder mode if the
washer fluid level in the reservoir is nearly empty.
• It means that you should refill the washer fluid.
Turn on FUSE SWITCH (if equipped)
• This warning message illuminates if the fuse switch under the steeringwheel is OFF.
• It means that you should turn the fuse switch on.

Check high beam assist system (if
equipped)
• This warning message illuminates ifthe high beam assist system has a
malfunction.
In this case, we recommend that you
have the vehicle inspected by an au‐ thorized Kia dealer.
Low fuel
• This warning message illuminates if the fuel tank is nearly empty.- When the low fuel level warning light is illuminated.
Add fuel as soon as possible.
Device in wireless charger (if
equipped)
If a smart phone is still left on the wire‐
less charging pad unattended, even when the Engine Start/Stop button is
turned to the ACC or OFF position, and
the instrument panel's one time driving information mode has finished, a warn‐
ing message will light up on the instru‐
ment panel.

When the regenerative
brake does not operate and the brake does not performwell. This causes the Brake

nate simultaneously.

tance of the anti-lock brake system).
