Overspeed Warning Light
(if equipped)
This warning light blinks:
• When you drive the vehi‐ cle more than 120 km/h.- This is to prevent you from driving your vehicle with overspeed.
- The overspeed warning chime also sound for approximately 5 sec‐ onds.
120km/h
Master Warning Light
This indicator light illumi‐nates:
• This warning light informs the driver the following situations- TPMS failure, low pressure (if equipped)
- Low engine oil (if equipped)
- Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) system (if equipped) failure
- Blind-Spot Collision Warning (BCW) malfunction (if equipped)
If the warning situation is solved, the master warning light will turn off.
Exhaust system (DPF)
warning light (Diesel
Engine)
This warning light illumi‐nates:
• When there is a malfunction with Die‐ sel Particulate Filter (DPF) system.
• When this warning light illuminates, it may turn off after driving the vehicle:- at more than 60 km/h (37 mph), or
- at more than 2nd gear with 1500 ~ 2000 engine rpm for a certain time (for about 25 minutes).
If this warning light blinks in spite of
the procedure (at this time the LCD warning message will be displayed),
have the DPF system checked by a pro‐
fessional workshop. Kia recommends to visit an authorized Kia dealer/ service
partner.
CAUTION
nDiesel Engine with DPF (ifequipped)

If you continue to drive with the DPFwarning light blinking for a longtime, the DPF system can be dam‐aged and fuel consumption can wor‐sen.
Door Ajar Warning Light
(if equipped)
This warning light illumi‐nates:
When a door is not closed securely.
Tailgate Open Warning
Light (if equipped)
This warning light illumi‐nates:
When the tailgate is not closed secure‐
ly.
Washer Fluid Warning
Light (if equipped)
This warning light illumi‐nates:
• When the washer fluid level in the reservoir is nearly empty.
In this case, you should refill the
washer fluid.

NOTICE
The DOOR mode and ROOM mode
can not be selected at a time.
Front Map Lamp:
• Type A(3): Press this switch to turn the
front map lamps on.
(4): Press this switch to turn the
front map lamps off.
• Type B
(3): Press this switch to turn the
front map lamps on and off.
Room lamp
•: The light stays on at all times.
Luggage room lamp (if
equipped)
The luggage room lamp comes on when
the trunk (tailgate) is opened.
CAUTION
The luggage room lamp comes on aslong as the trunk (tailgate) opens. Toprevent unnecessary charging sys‐tem drain, close the trunk (tailgate)

Vanity mirror lamp (if equipped)
Push the switch to turn the light on or
off.

STORAGE COMPARTMENTS
These compartments can be used to store small items required by the driver
or passengers.
CAUTION
•To avoid possible theft, do notleave valuables in the storagecompartments.
•Always keep the storage compart‐ment covers closed while driving.Do not attempt to place so manyitems in the storage compartmentthat the storage compartmentcover cannot close securely.
WARNING
nFlammable materials
Do not store cigarette lighters, pro‐pane cylinders, or other flammable/explosive materials in the vehicle.These items may catch fire and/orexplode if the vehicle is exposed tohot temperatures for extended peri‐ods.
Center console storage (if
equipped)
These compartments can be used to
store small items required by the driver or front passenger.
To open the center console storage pull
up the lever .
Glove box
To open the glove box, pull the handle
and the glove box will automatically open. Close the glove box after use.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of injury in an ac‐cident or sudden stop, always keepthe glove box door closed while driv‐ing.

•Putting lit cigarettes or matches inan ashtray with other combustiblematerials may cause a fire.
Cup holder
WARNING
nHot liquids
•Do not place uncovered cups withhot liquid in the cup holder whilethe vehicle is in motion. If the hotliquid spills, you burn yourself.Such a burn to the driver couldlead to loss of control of the vehi‐cle.
•To reduce the risk of personal in‐jury in the event of sudden stop orcollision, do not place uncovered orunsecured bottles, glasses, cans,etc., in the cup holder while thevehicle is in motion.
WARNING
Keep cans or bottles out of directsun light and do not put them in avehicle that is heated up. It may ex‐plode.
NOTICE
•Keep your drinks sealed while driv‐
ing to prevent spilling your drink. If
liquid spills, it may get into the ve‐
hicle's electrical/electronic system
and damage electrical/ electronic
parts.
•When cleaning spilled liquids, do
not dry the cup holder at high
temperature. This may damage
the cup holder.
Cups or small beverage cans may be
placed in the cup holders.

CAUTION
•Use the power outlet only whenthe engine is running and removethe accessory plug after use. Usingthe accessory plug for prolongedperiods of time with the engine offcould cause the battery to dis‐charge.
•Only use 12V electric accessorieswhich are less than 10A in electriccapacity.
•Adjust the air-conditioner or heat‐er to the lowest operating levelwhen using the power outlet.
•Close the cover when not in use.
•Some electronic devices can causeelectronic interference when plug‐ged into a vehicle’s power outlet.These devices may cause exces‐sive audio static and malfunctionsin other electronic systems or de‐vices used in your vehicle.
•Using electrical products which ex‐ceed the limited capacity mightcause heating to the power outletand wiring that could lead to anelectrical breakdown.

•Always make sure the electricalpart is firmly plugged into thepower outlet. Incomplete pluggingmay cause electrical breakdown.
•Electrical products with a built-inbattery might cause current flow,which could lead to malfunction ofthe electric/ electronic device inyour vehicle. Only use electricalproducts which include reversecurrent prevention.
WARNING
Do not put a finger or a foreign ele‐ment (pin, etc.) into a power outletand do not touch with a wet hand.You may get an electric shock.
USB charger (if equipped)
The USB charger is designed to re‐
charge batteries of small size electrical devices using a USB cable. The electrical
devices can be recharged when the En‐
gine Start/Stop button is in ACC/ON/ START position.
The battery charging state may be
monitored on the electrical device.
Disconnect the USB cable from the USB
port after use. • Some devices are not supported for fast charging but will be charged withnormal speed.
• Use the USB charger when the engine is running to prevent battery dis‐
charge.

• Only devices that fits the USB portcan be used.
• The USB charger can be used only for battery charging purposes.
• Battery chargers cannot be charged.
Floor mat anchor(s) (if
equipped)

When using a floor mat on the front
floor carpet, make sure it attaches to the floor mat anchor(s) in your vehicle.
This keeps the floor mat from sliding
forward.
WARNING
The following must be observedwhen installing ANY floor mat to thevehicle.•Ensure that the floor mats are se‐curely attached to the vehicle'sfloor mat anchor(s) before drivingthe vehicle.
•Do not use ANY floor mat thatcannot be firmly attached to thevehicle's floor mat anchors.
•Do not stack floor mats on top ofone another (e.g. all-weather rub‐ber mat on top of a carpeted floormat). Only a single floor matshould be installed in each position.
IMPORTANT - Your vehicle was man‐ufactured with driver's side floormat anchors that are designed tosecurely hold the floor mat in place.To avoid any interference with pedaloperation, Kia recommends that onlythe Kia floor mat designed for use inyour vehicle be installed.
Shopping bag holder
CAUTION
•Do not hang a bag weighing morethan 3 kg (7 lbs.). It may causedamage to the shopping bag hold‐er.
•Do not hang the frail objects whenyou drive rough road, the objectsmay be damaged.
