■Rear door child-protector lock
The door cannot be open ed from inside the
vehicle when the lock is set.

dren from opening the rear doors.
Push down on each rear door switch to
lock both rear doors.

Press the switch down to lock the passen-
ger window.

Trunk
■Opening the trunk
● From inside the vehicle
Press the opener switch.If the vehicle is equipped with a power
trunk opener and closer, the trunk lid
automatically opens fully
Turn the main switch in the glove box off to
disable the trunk opener. On

the wireless remote control or the trunk
release button.
● From outside the vehicle
• Smart access system wi th push-button start
While carrying the electronic key, press the
button on the trunk lid.When all the doors are unlocked with
the power door lock system, the trunk
can be opened without carrying the
electronic key.
If the vehicle is equipped with power
trunk opener and closer, the trunk lid
automatically opens fully.
• Wireless remote control Press and hold the switchIf the vehicle is equipped with a power
trunk opener and closer, the trunk lid
automatically opens fully.

What to do if...

If the electronic key does not operate properly
■Unlocking and locking the doors
Use the mechanical key ( →P.18) in order to
perform the following operations:
Locks all the doors
Closes the windows and moon roof

(turn and hold)
Unlocks the door
Turning the key rear ward unlocks the
driver’s door. Turning the key once
again within 5 seconds unlocks the
other doors.
Opens the windows and moon roof

(turn and hold)
*: This setting must be customized at your
Lexus dealer.
■ Unlocking the trunk
Turn the mechanical key clockwise to open.
An alarm will sound if the alarm is set.
